I made a window, create the texture. I really think the texture is right.
I'm a new mesher so I don't understand about meshing too much. What happens is that the window I made doesn't appear in game (appear invisible), and when I click on Preview in the Geometric Data Container, it shows up in plain white.
My mesh has a big poly count, I know, but I need it this way. I read Numenor's "INVISIBLE AND FLASHING BLUE CUSTOM OBJECTS
TROUBLESHOOTING CHECKLIST", but as I'm new in meshing I haven't understood nothing. So, could anyone help me? The package of my window is upload here for you to download and fix, please. Could you do it? And please, after fixing it, tell me what you've done to fix it, because I want to understand what I've done wrong.

Thanks!

HI, I am not Numenor (I wish I was!) but I make a lot of windows and will look at this for you, and if fixed, will explain what I did.

Ok, I have fixed the window, sort of - there are other problems with it beyond the texture though. But first, the basic fix.....

The first thing I did was look in the GMND and SHPE to check you were referencing TXMT and TXTR files correctly. The way I did this was check the scenegraph. This can be found in SIMPE by clicking on tools/objecttools/scenegrapher.

The picture I saw is attached; if you do the same in your own package and click on the highlighted square it will tell you it cannot find the wood txtr; and even what that file shoul be called (in the bottom bar).
So I went to your TXTRs and picked one of your 4 TXTRs and changed its name - I chose the deepred txtr. So now it works.

HOWEVER:
1) you can see in the screenshot of the window that it is far too tall for the wall; if you want your window to be this big then you will have to clone the 2 tile high window. If you do not want the window bigger than the wall, then you will have to reduce it in your mesh editor. I use Milkshape, and if you scale the mesh in Milkshape then the window will keep its UV map.

2) You are trying to do three different recolours in the object - this is quite hard - it will be easier for you if you load the window in object workshop in SIMPE and just make recolours.

This window is NOT fixed - your texture problem is fixed - if you need more help reply on this thread

Thanks, I'll try to do that. But where's the image you've attached?

it is in the screenshots - it is the one not a window; my router is playing up, so first I posted words, then attachments - try a refresh?

Hey, I think I made what you said but the window still appears invisible. Could you please attach the fixed window file?

Let me understand well. The only thing I should really do is change the filename of one of the textures? Can I put any name? Or should I keep the final charactheres?
Please, explain these.
