Am I the only one loving FC2 here? Prez? Tell me you like it as much as I do.
A lot of people have been complaining because it takes so LONG to get from place to place, mission to mission. I do somewhat agree with them, but I also enjoy the reality of that aspect, too. It really makes you feel like you have an enormous world to explore. There are parts of the map I don't think I've even BEEN to yet.
I played for hours last night. Finally earned a flame-thrower and I love it! One short burst of fire in your enemies' face is all you need. It's so cool how big the fire can get and how fast it can spread.
What I don't like about the game is if you change the environment in a certain place, it doesn't stay changed. So destroyed trees or fences will be destroyed until you leave. When you return it'll be like you never touched it. Vehicles and enemies replenish in places you might wish they wouldn't, etc. Also, I can't figure out... when you secure a guard post, do guards come and take it back when you leave?
Anyway, I guess that's only a small problem I have with an otherwise fantastic game. I hope I'm not nearing the end. There's so much to do!

Persistence world can be very expensive in storage usage. Each saved game could effectively be a copy of the entire game data since it would need to keep a track what you changed. There might be other ways to do this by storing just what was changed but it would still require additional storage space and would increase in size as the world differs from the master copy.
