View Full Version : Two very special friends 4-8 finally COMPLETED
25th Jul 2006, 06:08 PM
WARNING: this story contains some mild hints to sex, nothing extreme, there won't be any sexual scene.
I know the title sucks, I'll change it when I can think of something better.
This is the story of my favourite sims, that i've spammed to death in Sims pictures forum. The main characters are Will, Chelsea and Dana. This is my first story, so be kind :P but if you have costructive criticism, I will be very glad to hear it. My english lacks in everyday vocabulary, so maybe something will sound strange, I'm sorry, my mother tongue is italian and I've never been to any english speaking country, I'm doing my best. The first chapter is more like an introduction, with very few pics, mainly to introduce the characters. Next chapters will have more pics, I promise ;) Chapter two is written and I'm working on the pics. Now, if you've read this, thanks and enjoy my story
SOME CHARACTERS OF THIS STORY ARE UP FOR DOWNLOAD

Will Donovan and Chelsea Becker were friends. The had met at a fraternity party at college, slept together, but their relationship never turned into something romantic. They didn’t know why: they were both good-looking, smart, fun; he was three years older than her, but does age difference matter, and such a small one, too? Still, they were friends, best friends. They could talk to each other about anything, they liked having someone of the other gender to ask opinions and exchange point of views, especially about love life. In that unusually hot autumn night, sitting in Chelsea’s living room with loads of take-away food around them, they were talking about her neighbour, a cute guy named James, who was in love with her.
“I don’t know.. there’s nothing wrong with him, he’s handsome, he’s nice, he’s ok, definitely. Just, he’s too fond on me! It looks like he sees me as a sort of goddess, something perfect, which I’m not, at all. This was nice, at first, but now I’m starting to feell uncomfortable. Plus, I can’t fool him, I don’t feel for him the same he feels for me.” “You know what, Chels? You think too much about stuff… why don’t you just go and have fun with this guy who adores you?” “’Cause I don’t adore him!” “Who cares? He’ll get over it.” “Will Donovan, the most sensitive man on earth!” “I’m just honest!” He looked at the time on the dvd player display. “It’s 5 A.M. , I wonder if Dana is home yet.” “You’re not home yet, why should you worry about her? She’s 21, let her live her own life.”
Dana was Will’s younger sister. She had just graduated at college and was living at Will’s for a while, just the time to find a decent flat and a decent job to pay the rent with. Both her and Will had a huge money fund (they’re family was billionaire), but she didn’t want to use it. She was a very proud girl, and wanted to make it on her own. Will, though, had no problem with it. Officially he worked for the Donovan Corporation, but, practically, he received monthly a rich cheque to keep out of his office, and he loved it. Chelsea didn’t like Will’s way, though, and that was probably the reason she didn’t think about him as a possible boyfriend. She thought that life without a passion had no point at all. She had a passion, acting. She acted in some commercials, a bit of theatre and minor roles in a couple minor films, so she wasn’t really making it into the show-business, but at least she made her living out of it. And, to be honest, a part time job as a waitress, but still, she was doing what she liked doing. She couldn’t imagine two people more different than her and Will, but she still loved him, in a friendly way of course. Yet, sometimes, especially when he smiled, her heart would beat like crazy and she couldn’t keep her eyes out of his. However, this would pass soon, because in a moment he would say something stupid, or insensitive, or shallow, and the feeling would pass, and she would consider it a normal consequence of having a great-looking best friend.

Dana was a graduated journalist, but still, it wasn’t easy for her to find a job where they would take her for her talents and not for her family name. She had tried at many different newspapers and magazines, but every single interviewer was more interested on her name than on her curriculum. She hated being born rich. Sure, she had the best education, private school, prestigious college and all, but what was it for? She could have spent her youth hanging around at parties, taking drugs and dating drunken guitarists and she would have found a job just the same, just because she was a Donovan! Most girls of her age would have loved this, but she didn’t. She was smart, very intelligent, she’s been editor of the college paper for 2 years, worked in summer stages for many important papers, but everything they saw was just her bloody last name.
The SimCity Times used to be the most important paper in town , but now it was failing. The owner and editor, Owen Brigham, was old and odd, and the people who worked for him was a group of young people who didn’t do anything to whole day. Nevertheless, Dana sent her CV in and she had a job interview fixed the day after. She put on her suit and went to see mister Brigham, without any expectations at all. He was nice, in his own odd way. She appreciated the fact that he never pronounced her last name, he always called her miss Dana. “So, miss Dana, your CV is quite impressing for someone as young as you. I’ve read some of your articles, they’re very well written. If you want, the job is yours. You can start Monday.” “Why, thanks, mister Brigham, I accept the job with pleasure. Just want to make sure… you’re not taking me because I’m a Donovan, are you” Brigham laughed, for no reason Dana could understand. “I know who your father is, and trust me, I’d never employ her daughter if she wasn’t the most talented young girl I’ve ever met.” “Thank you, mister Brigham, see you Monday. ” She went out the building feeling happy and satisfied. She had to tell someone, and that someone had to be her brother.
“Chelsea?” she turned to see James calling her “Hi Jim, what’s up?” “Oh, nothing, I just wondered… whether you were free, tonight at dinner.” “I’m afraid I’m not, I’m working… did you something special in mind?” “No, actually… no… You know what? You don’t miss anything, really. I’m broke, so I could have offered you a burger at most” He looked sad and disappointed. Chelsea shook her head, sat on the steps and offered him to sit next to her.” James, I do know what you feel for me, and you’re lovely… but I’m not worth it! I can’t stand seeing you so sad!” “Look, if I want to be sad, I’ll be sad. And why aren’t you worth it?” She paused. She didn’t want to tell him she didn’t feel anything particular for him, because he would be even more sad. “Well… look at me! You look great, you can have every girl in the word, heiresses, Victoria’s secrets models… seriously, I’m not worth you! Look at my nose, it’s huge! And …” “Chels, stop it, okay? I’m no idiot. If you don’t like me, just tell me straight, I’ll face it” He had a very serious look on his face, she couldn’t help being honest “I don’t like you in a romantic way… but I do like you as a friend.” “Perfect. It’s not that difficult being honest, is it? Bye, Chelsea.” He got up and went back into his flat. She kept sitting for a while, than she got up to and went off to work.
“A job? Great, honey, you deserved it! SimCity Times? But that paper is failing, nobody reads it! Ok, ok, I’ll shut up.. see, we need to celebrate, I’m getting some wine and we’ll have some take-away sushi… OK? Bye Dana. “ So Dana had found a job. Somebody else had found their way in life. And she was only 21! Chelsea too, she was 24 and knew perfectly what she wanted to do, and was doing it. She wasn’t a celeb actress, but who cares? She was spending her time as she liked it, and she was happy. What about him. A 27-year-old that spent his day hanging around, sometimes helping his father, but most of the times doing nothing. He just couldn’t find something he liked doing.. He felt useless, really, but he couldn’t tell this to anyone. Chelsea especially. He was so ashamed of himself, he couldn’t let the person he cared more in the world know this, he wanted her to see him as a self-confident, satisfied man. So, he acted like he didn’t care, like he did like his life as it was, while he didn’t, at all. Once, about three years before, he was in love. He tried to kiss her, but she rejected him, looking at him like he was mad. Fortunately, he was drunk, so he gave all the faults to alcohol, but he really was heart-broken by her refusal. Eventually, he got over his crush for her, but still something stayed inside of him, something that made him understand why that James guy saw her as a goddess, but also made him want to kill off that James guy.
He bought a bottle of white Italian wine and, while he was walking back to his car, he saw a flower shop. “Maybe I should get Dana some flowers, I’ve been pretty rude on the phone.” He went in. the first thing he noticed was all the pink that was around. The second thing he noticed was the beautiful shop-assistant. She was tall, had a nice body, black hair and dark blue eyes. “May I help you?” she said. “Yeah, I think so. I wanted some flowers. ” she smiled gently, while he realized he ahd said something obvious and stupid “That’s what flower shops are for. Are they for your girlfriend?” This was Will’s turn to smile, his hot, killer smile “Are you trying to ask me if I have a girlfriend or not?” “Well, I suppose you do have a girlfriend. I don’t get to meet a lot of single men working in a flower shop” “You’ve just met one. Will Donovan, and the flowers are for my sister.” They shook hands, he knew she liked him. “Emma Shephard, nice to meet you. What are your sister’s favourite flowers?”

“No. N-O- Which part of that don’t you understand?” “Oh, come on! You can’t refuse to help me! And when was your last date anyway?” “That was so mean!” Chelsea got up and went to get herself something to drink. Will followed her, there was no way he would give up. Emma had agreed to go on a date with him if he brought along a girl for her best friend. Who better than Chelsea? She was single, she was beautiful, she hadn’t had a date for a while. In fact, more than pursuing his own interest he was helping her. And she should have been grateful, instead of making such a fuss!
“Look, there’s Dana! She’s single too, ask her!” Dana, who was going at work, just looked at them and said “I can’t, I have to work, whatever you wanted to ask me.” Then she took her car keys and went out. Will served himself a drink “I couldn’t have asked her anyway, I can’t bring my sister on a date. I don’t like much the idea of her having dates anyway. If I can avoid her having one, it’s for the best. Chels, please, you’re my last hope.” She sighed. “Ok, I’ll do it. I’ll go to that stupid date with you. I haven’t had a date for a while anyway.”
Dana was at her desk working when mister Brigham approached her “May I have a word with you, miss Dana?” “Sure thing. About what?” She was still in her first week in that job, so she was quite nervous and afraid of doing something wrong. “I observed you, Dana, you’re smart, you’re passionate, you’re the right person. I want to persuade my son to work for me.” “Do you really have a son?” “Sure, why not?” “Well, you don’t look like someone who has children.” “But I do. His name is Adrian, he’s about your age and he’s a really good photographer, but refuses to work for the Simcity Times. He lives downstairs, I want you to talk to him and tell him he should accept the job.” “Ok, but why me? And why it’s so important?” “I’m not getting any younger, actually I’m getting really old: let’s face it, I could die in a moment. I want him to raise the paper from failure and keep it in family. And I choose you… because you’re pretty and he can’t resist pretty girls.” “I understand. I accept the mission, sir!”
She had to ring the bell twice for Adrian Brigham to open the door. Eventually, he showed up, and he was not what she expected. “Are you Adrian Brigham?” “Yes, I am, and you must be the new journalist dad just employed. Wow, you’re hot!” “Thanks. May I come in?” “Sure” They sat on the sofa, “You’re quite surprised, are you?” “I just thought Brigham’s son would be more… tanned.” “I’m not his natural son. My mother married him when she was pregnant with me. My natural father had run away, my mother used to describe him with words a child should never hear.” “I understand her… anyway, I’m told you’re a great photographer, why don’t you work for the paper? You know, some day, all this can be yours.” “And this is what you came for, right? Persuading me to work for my dad?” “Kind of.” He got up “Follow me.” “What’s up?” “Nothing. You’re so beautiful I want to take you some photos.”
“Ok, Dana, show me your smile!” He had her wear a formal dress he had in a costumes trunk and strike a pose. “You’re stunning, the camera loves you, have you ever thought about modelling?” “Modelling? Sure! That’s what I spent four years on books for at college, for walking on a runwaysalmost naked! No thanks, modelling is not for me.” “Wow, you’re a though girls, aren’t you?” “Definitely. Why don’t you want to work with your father?” He took the pic, the flsh lightened up the room. “I could make you the same question, miss Donovan” “It’s very different.” “Yes? How?” She didn’t know what to say, so she kept silent.
The date was going fine – at least for Will and Emma. Chelsea had to deal with an egocentric guy who just wanted to get her to his bedroom. She could clarly see the differences between him and Will: Will looked at Emma straight in the eye, he obviously had sex in mind but he could hide it really well. Besides, she thought with a bit of envy, he seemed really interested in her and what she said. That Cole guy, whom she was the spend the date with… he kept talking about himself, and how women liked his long blonde hair, and his basketball games, and this and that. When he wasn’t talking, he was looking at her, but not in the eye… she wished she wore a burka, but he would probably be staring at her breasts just the same.
Later they went dancing. Cole asked her to dance with him, but she refused. That wasn’t a problem for him, apparently. He did his “sexy” dance to impress the ladies in the room, but the only impression that he gave to Chelsea was that he was an idiot. She tried to force herself not to look at Will, but she couldn’t help it. He was holding Emma in a romantic dance, they seemed so cute together that they made Chelsea nervous. She spotted a sitting area and went there, but she couldn’t stay alone for a long time.
“Hey babe, don’t you like my sexy dance?” said Cole sitting next to her “And you call that sexy? Do you really think you’re sexy? Has it ever crossed your mind that you could be just an idiot?” “Wow, honey, jealousy is killing you!” “First thing, don’t you dare calling me honey, babe or names like that. Second, I’m not jealous of anyone.” “Aren’t you jealous of you’re friend? Come on, I’m not blind, you like him, don’t you?” “Oh shut up, you don’t know me!” In that moment Will and Emma joined them. They had some conversation for a while, then the couple, the happy one, started making out. Chelsea had to admit, she actually was jealous, for no reason in the world- it was Will, her friend, not her boyfriend. Cole whispered in her ear “Hey, if you want to take revenge on him, I can help you”http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a126/misaki85/cw23.jpg
She took a look at Will and Emma, and felt a sudden anger growing inside of her. “Fine.” She said “Let’s go at my place.”
“I’ve found it, Adrian!” Dana said. It was 3 A.M. they had spent the whole night talking. They were very much alike, shared interests, and seemed to enjoy mostly the same thing. Adrian showed her some of his photographs and he was really talented. And handsome, she had to add. “You’ve found what?” “The difference between me not wanting to work with my father and you not wanting to work with yours. My father is all about the money, he loves it, there’s no passion in what he does, the passion is just for money, and this is so pathetic. But your father loves his job, even though it does only bring in enough for living. It would be a waste, you know, if all this should be gone at his death.” “You’re probably right. By the way, I’ve decided to work for him. Great job, you persuaded me.” “Really? How?” “By being so nice and beautiful. If my job includes seeing you everyday, I love my job.” She smiled, he was flattening her, but she liked it. “Listen, Dana, it’s very late… why don’t you stay overnight? I mean, you sleep in the bed, and I sleep here, on the sofa.” “Yes, that would be the best. But stay on your sofa, young man!”

What a super update! And, oh, your sims are so gorgeous! My sims tend to look so much alike, but yours... well, they have personality also because of their looks. That's so cool.
Hopes for another update in not too long. :)

great story, can`t wait for an update!
30th Jul 2006, 10:57 AM
Thanks guys, I had fun writing this. And thanks for the compliments on my sims, Vinnie, I appreciate them a lot. Will and Dana are born in game, so the only thing about their looks I can claim is that I created their parents, but I made the others. I always try to give them something different from each other, like in Chelsea, her features are not perfect but she wouldn't be the same if they were perfect.
5th Aug 2006, 12:13 PM
A week had passed from the double date, and Chelsea felt horrible for having spent the night with Cole. Jealousy or not, sleeping with people she didn’t like and considered useless wasn’t in her policy, she couldn’t accept it, yet she had done it just the same. Moreover, that jealousy had no reasons to exist: can you be jealous of your friend? A friend she had no romantic prospective with, even if she’d wanted, ‘cause know he was dating Emma, and, as much as she knew, everything was going fine. Besides, Will seemed to treat her in a slightly different way. He was still nice and fun, but he looked for her less often, he would no more make her those innocent cuddles she was used to, small things she missed a lot. She tried to convince herself she was a paranoid, that it was just because he had a girlfriend now and it’s not nice to call a female friend twice a day if you have a girlfriend, let alone, hugging her as he used to do.. She tried to make up her mind, it seemed reasonable, but it annoyed her just the same. The jealousy that started growing in her that night didn’t go away, it grew bigger and bigger.
That Saturday Will was to introduce Emma to his father, he had said it was better to wait, but she had insisted. Chelsea had a clue she had already her bridal gown in her closet, and still, this desire to meet Eric Donovan wouldn’t do any good. Tall, elegant, 70 years old with a great dignity: he was a massive figure, the same blue eyes of his children, but without Dana’s sweetness or Will’s charm. His eyes were like ice. He had with his children a relationship more similar to employer/employee than father/kid, he never hugged or caressed them, he wouldn’t even let them call him dad. And since his wife died when the kids were 5 and 11, Dana and Will grew up counting only on each other.
Will had asked her to join him and Emma for this lunch, ‘cause she could make his father act like a normal human being, and she had accepted: she would have preferred a date whit Hitler rather than see Emma and Eric, but she had not seen Will for four days and she missed him. That morning he showed up early and with a strange air about him “Hi, pretty guy, wasn’t it for eleven?” He didn’t even look at her, went to the living room and sat on the couch, keeping silent. She sat next to him and took his hand into hers. He let her do it, which made her happy. “We’re not going.” “Really? Why?” “Emma dumped me.” That was a surprise. Chelsea tried hard to feel sorry, but she could actually feel sorry only for Will’s expression and not for the fact itself. “What happened? It looked like everything was going fine.” He bit his lip, looked into her eyes for a second and then looked at his shoes. “I’d rather not talk about it for the moment” “Don’t worry, you’ll tell me when and if you want to. But remember I’m here for you, always.” He got up. “I’ve told Dana I wasn’t going, but I didn’t explain her why. You’re the only one who knows about it.” She got up too and hugged him. “Yeah, you can’t meet your father in this situation. You know what? We’ll go hanging out. Let me just take my purse.”
“Tell me again why your brother, his girlfriend and his lovely friend are not here.” “I’ve told you, Eric, I don’t know! He just told me he wasn’t coming, and he had such an expression… I didn’t feel like asking him why” In that moment Dana was hating Will: leaving her alone with the old man and his current wife! At least she was better than the last one and she had interrupted the age decrease trend (Lauren was 35, Veronica, the previous wife, was 22), because if it kept on he would end up marrying a junior high little girl. Since her mother’s death (she couldn’t remember much about her mother, really) Eric had had 9 wives. The charm he had in his youth was gone, but he still had the charm of money.“So, Dana, when will you start working for me?” “Well…” “You can’t say no, I’ve got the ideal work for you. I’m gettino into publishing, I’m about to buy a failing newspaper; I want you to renew it and turn it tinto something that brings money.” Dana had a suspicion, a terrible suspicion “Eric, this newspaper… is it the SimCity Times?” “Yes, it is. Do you know it?” “I work there!”
She threw her napkin into the round and got up. Her father did the same. “You don’t know what that paper means, you don’t know it! It’s what mister Brigham had been working on his whole life, he won’t sell it easily and you know what? I support him!” “Great! You can support a complete stranger but not your father! I’m offering you a fantastic chance, do you realize it?” “I don’t give a damn of your fantastic chance, I’ll never work for you, got it? NEVER!” She ran upstairs, in the room that once was hers. The discussion wasn’t finished, it couldn’t, she knew that when things like this happened, his father called on a family meeting.
It had been a perfect day for Will and Chelsea. They had eaten in a Mexican restaurant, then they hanged out in town. Chelsea had forced Will to do some shopping, but he had fun in that too. And now they were sitting in the park, cuddling like a couple, everything was the same again. “Do you want to know it?” asked Will “What?” “The reason why Emma dumped me.” “I want to know it if you want to tell me.” Like in the morning, Will bit his lip, looked into her eyes for a second and then looked at his shoes: it was something he was very uneasy about. “See, this week I thought a lot about you. About you and Cole. I know, it’s been just a one night stand, an error, but the thought of you and him… together… I have to admit, it makes me mad with anger. That’s the reason why I’ve been so cold to you, I’m so sorry “Hun, that’s all right. But I can’t see why this is the reason of your break up with Emma” “Indirectly. I told you, you were always in my mind, so… well, I called her with your name.” “While…” “No, not while. We were watching the TV, she eas talking about something I couldn’t care less, so I just pretended to listen to her, nodding at times and saying something general, while my mind was concentrated on CSI Miami. And I find myself telling her –you’re right, Chelsea-” “Why did she take it so bad? You were lost in your thinking.” “And that’s the worst part. She says that I only have you in my mind, that I want you to be my girlfriend.” “Is this true?” “Well…” in that moment Will’s mobile phone rang.
“Ok, Chels, that’s the moment, let’s run.” Will tried to reach for the car, but Chelsea gently stopped him. “Come on, everything will be fine, I’m with you.” “Family meeting. As much as Eric adores you, you’ll have to stay in the living room with Lauren. Speaking about her, did you know Lauren’s previous name was John?” “That’ll be an interesting conversation topic. Let’s go.”
The Donovans were in the upstairs study, while Chelsea was in the living room with Lauren, as will had expected. “So: you, Eric, want to buy the paper Dana works in, but you, Dana, don’t want this to happen. Is this the brief version of it?” ”Exactly!” said Dana and Eric together. “Interesting dilemma, but the question is: what’s my role in it?” “What’s your role? What’s your role? Your role is making this old man understand that he has to respect other people’s hard work!” “But Dana, it could have been worse… if you’re to manage it you can keep things as they’re now.” “Do you really think so? If you do, you’re stupid, because this person wants to use me as a puppet, with him moving the strings, and I can’t accept this! I’m not like you, I don’t act like a faithful doggie otherwise he would cut your money!”
“Who’s the doggie?” “You! Can’t you see it? You’re a parasite, a useless being, someone that will never do anything good in his life!” “Oh really? But this parasite, this useless being who will never do anything good in his life is giving you somewhere to live, because you’re too damn proud to use the money Eric gave you!” “Even if I wanted to use it I couldn’t, I can’t use it like I want until I’m 25. But you know what? I’ll find somewhere else to live, somewhere that’s neither here or your place. Don’t wait for me, because I won’t come home!” “Fine!” Dana went out slamming the door, while Eric came closer to Will to put is arm around his shoulder.
“Good boy, I knew you would have been at my side.” “Do. Not. Touch. Me. Don’t touch me. I’m not at your side, actually I think you’re wrong in this fight. Dana should be more flixible, but you should be much less damn opportunist.” He shrugged his father’s arm away from him e went out of the room, slamming the door like Dana did. A moment later he opened it again. “You can’t blackmail me with taking my money away. I’m 27, it’s legally my money. Find another way, I’m sure you can.” He slammed the door again.
“I can’t imagine the drama going on up there. I’d like to have peep.” Oh, no, dear, the Donovans are terrible when they fight. Leave them alone, it’s better.” Lauren was nice, kind; Chelsea couldn’t help asking herself why she married Eric, she didn’t seem so fond of money. Maybe Donovan senior had some inner charms. Her gossip-lover side, though, made her ask herself if Eric knew about Lauren’s… cut. The old man never looked like a tolerant guy to her. “Chelsea, dear.. I have a simple curiosità to ask you, I know it’s not my business but… what kind of relationship do you and Will have?” “You know it, we’re friends.” “Ok, I’ve put the question in the wrong way.. what kind of relationship do you and Will REALLY have?” “We’re friends, really! Nothing more!” “Ok, let’s analyse today’s situation. I’m expecting for lunch my husband’s son, his girlfriend and his friend, which is strange enough to me. They don’t come, and when Eric calls Will, he shows up with you but not his girlfriend. That’s odd, isn’t it? Moreover, I’ve noticed how you looked at him while he was going upstairs.” “You can’t say it wasn’t a nice view… don’t you ever look at handsome guys? Will’s handsome and I look at him, what’s wrong with it? It doesn’t mean I’m in love with him” “Have I said something about love? ” she winked at Chelsea, like she had made her admit something she didn’t want to admit. This was where the conversation stopped, because in that moment Will got into the room with an angry face, took Chelsea’s arm and dragged her out of the house.
They had gone directly to Will’s place. He had offered to take her home, but he was in such a mood that Chelsea didn’t feel like living him alone, she was afraid he would have done something crazy. It turned out it was a good choice, because she was able to stop him after his second drink offering him a massage. “I’m not surprised about my father, I never really expected anything from him, but Dana! She said terrible things about me, and the worst part of it is they’re all true!” “They’re not, at all!” “Come on! You know they are!” “No, they aren’t! Maybe it’s true you haven’t done anything special in your life yet, but you have plenty of time. And still, you’re a wonderful person, always ready to help other people.. I don’t know what I would do without you.” He drew closer to her and hugged her. “This evening, in the park.. you asked me a question, I was answering, but then my father called and all this mess happened, we didn’t have a chance to talk about it. Do you want to hear the answer?” “Sure” “Every time I think about getting closer to you, something deeper than a friendship I get scared, I don’t think I could stand another refusal” “Another? When did I refuse you?” “Three years ago, at that party, do you remember?” “Yeah, you tried to kiss me, but you were drunk” “Not so drunk” “Does this mean..” “Yeah, I really wanted to kiss you, as I do now.” She smiled, caressed his hair and kissed him.

6th Aug 2006, 01:59 PM
Thanks guys! I should have waited longer for the kiss, but I couldn't resist, they're so cute together! They're my favourite couple in game. Nckw, thanks, but i don't think I'll ever put her up for download. Sending her to someone who ask, yes, but having no control on who downloads her, no. I know I'm mad, but I'm pretty jealous of my favourite sims.
I'm already working on part 5, so it shouldn't take a long time.

After leaving Will’s house, Dana went living with Adrian. At first she was attracted by him, but that attraction had gone. He surely was cute and a good guy, he would have been her first choice if she was looking for a boyfriend, but she wasn’t. Dana was one of the few people in the world that was truly single for her own choice. In that particular moment of her life she couldn’t manage a love relationship, together with work, her fight with her father and the one with will. Adrian took it well and enjoyed their friendship just fine, anyway, Dana was too proud and bossy to be his ideal woman.
Every morning Adrian got up at 6 to make breakfast, he was the king of eggs and bacon. Dana sometimes offered to help him, but he would send her away form the stove, so all she could do was to look and to chat.
“I’ve found a house, two bedrooms and a bathroom, not huge but really nice. I was considering renting it” “So you’ll leave me this flat? Great! Your couch was getting uncomfortable.” “Hey, I’ve offered you the bedroom! Anyway, haven’t you noticed I said the house has two bedrooms? One for me, one for you. We’ll share the rent, the bills, the groceries, everything. What do you think?” “I should see it.” “No problem, we’re going there this afternoon.” Dana was afraid that moving with Adrian would hurt Will, but then, he was already hurt for the mean things she’d told him. And anyway, one day or another she would have move out just the same “Ok, let’s see this house.”
“Do you really have to go?” “Yeah, honey, I’ve got an audition… I’m not working from quite some time and I need to. Wish me luck.” “”I wish you luck… but it’s no problem if you don’t work, one we’ll get married, than we’ll divorce and you’ll take all my money away, so you’ll never have financial problems anymore” “What about you? I’d feel guilty if you ended up poor” “I’ll sell on Ebay those pics I took you while you were having a shower and that videotape, they’ll pay them well.” “So you won’t be starving, that’s relieving. No, really, I have to go” There was no audition. Chelsea felt bad lying on Will, but she couldn’t tell him she was seeing Dana. Since the fight, the two girls had seen each other about twice a week. Dana was sorry, but too proud to apologise. About Will, he was really hurt, but he would forgive her sister immediately, if she talked to him. They loved each other a lot, they would get over that too. “You, pretty guy, stay here, we’ll have a fancy dinner and then we coul add something to your Ebay material, ok?” “Ok, I’ll cook.” She kissed him and went out.
The house was in a nice position, not too far from the centre of the city, but still a quiet neighbourhood. Adrian was enthusiast of it. “Come on, Adrian, it’s nothing special, it’s just a house.” “Yes, compared to the manor you lived in as a kid and the modern one where your brother lives, but I think it’s great. Just imagine the kitchen there, by the half wall, and the couches and tv at the angle. And you haven’t seen upstairs, the rooms are spacious, you can pick the one you want, I don’t mind. They’re already furnished!” “Guess you’re right. Ok, I’m in. Show me the backyard.” It was small but nice, with some flowers and two loungers. She sat on one of them “That’s cool. Imagine sunbathing here.” “I imagine you in a swimming suit, that would be cool.” “Pervert.” In that moment Chelsea walked in “Nice house, are you taking it?”
“Now I imagine you both girls in swimwear and that’s a lovely image!” “Get off, Adrian” said both the girls together, then they looked at each other and laughed. “Okay, I’m going, I definitely don’t want to hear your chatting about the trendiest lipstick colour or who’s the hottest celebrity. ” “Yeah, go.”
“You look tired, you must have been working a lot” said Chelsea “Yeah, that’s true. I’ve just two possibilities to save the paper from Eric: increase the sales to avoid failing so we won’t need to sell it, or have someone else buy it, but nobody is interest and I don’t have enough money.” “Actually, I know someone whom you could ask to buy it” “No way, I can’t ask Will, and he’d better spend his money for you. Didn’t he buy you a car?” “Yes, to celebrate our first month together. Isn’t he adorable?” “What did you give him?” “I’ll tell you when you’re older. Anyway, I think he would be happy to help you. And you have to talk to him again, sooner or later!” “I’ll think about it, ok?” “Fine. He misses you, you know?” “Yeah, I miss him too.”
Will and Chelsea had been a couple for a lot of time yet, at least a lot of time compared to their previous relationships: the longest for Will had been two weeks, Chelsea had reached a month, but then it was over. Generally, not much had changed since they were just friends, there were a much more physical side now, but seeing each other daily, nicknames, cuddles, those they already had before. Sometimes they asked themselves why they waited so long.
Will knew that Chelsea was in contact with Dana, because he checked her mobile phone, and he thought they met often. If Chelsea didn’t tell him it probably meant she was afraid he would get angry, but in fact he was dying to ask her if Dana was all right.
He was living alone since he was 17 and he had spent a lot of time cooking, turning into an amazing cook. Sometimes he had considered the idea of making it a job, but then he changed his mind: sure, his father would have hated it, and that was the good side, but it was an hard job and he avoided hard jobs. Anyway, he had used this skill to impress girls and now he used it to spoil his girlfriend. That evening he was cooking her favourite meal when the doorbell rang. He opened the door to a tall guy formally dressed who asked him “Who are you?”
“Shouldn’t I be the one who ask this?” replied Will “What are you doing half naked at Chelsea’s home? Where is she?” “I can be as half naked as I want at my girlfriend’s home, thank you. But you haven’t answered my question. Wait, you must be that guy who has a crush on her, James something. Too bad, she’s dating me now, and this is not likely to change.” He was being unnecessarily mean, but he wasn’t the one who started it. James got really angry, dragged him out of the door and tried to punch him, but he missed him. They started to fight, Will had never been quite the fighter, but doing it for his girlfriend gave him extra strength, he was in fact beating him. In that moment Chelsea came home.
“What are you doing? Are you mad?” They stopped to look at her. Will was quite ashamed, but James ran towards her and tried to hug her. “You can’t be dating him, you can’t date anyone but me!” But she was near the stairs and the violence of James almost made her fall down. Luckily, Will was there to save her.
“You’re mad, man, you really are. Just wait until I call the police, you won’t step foot outside a prison for all of you’re life!” shouted Will, holding a crying Chelsea as close as he could “No, please Will, don’t. I’m sure it’s been an accident, don’t make it bigger than it really is.” said she sobbing. “He could have killed you!” “Please!” “Fine. But you, damn ***-head, get off and hope I don’t see you ever in my life or I’ll tear you in pieces.” James kept silent and walked away. Will took Chelsea inside her flat and gently calmed her down. “I won’t call the police, but I can’t feel sure leaving you here, in the same place that guy lives. You’ll be staying at my place for a while, I accept no excuses.” She nodded and gratefully kissed his cheek.
They went at Will’s. Chelsea had apparently got over the shock. She went sleeping at 11 pm, but while she was going upstairs to the bedroom Will asked her: “How’s Dana?” she turned and from the look of his face she understood he knew everything. “She’s fine. She misses you.” “I miss her too.” She smiled and went upstairs. Will sat on the couch, pretending to watch a football game, when suddenly his mobile rang. “Hallo?” “Hi Will. Dana speaking.”
Wow, this wasn't easy to write! Forgive Will's bad speech, he's normally a polite guy.

11th Aug 2006, 10:16 PM
Chelsea was really tired but still a bit shocked, not much, but enough to make her difficult to sleep, so she read instead. Will joined her in an hour.
“Dana called me” said he after changing into his sleepwear. “Did she?” “Yeah. She apologised, it was quite moving. She invited us to dinner for this Sunday, when she’ll be done with decorating the house.” “That’s great honey!” She put the book away and was about to get to sleep when Will took her hand. “Thanks for keeping in touch with her, I’m glad to know someone I trust watched on her while I couldn’t.” “My duty. Now let’s sleep.”
Adrian was lying on his bed, relaxing, when Dana got into the room. She was looking gorgeous, she was dressed up, not her usual tomboy look.
“Hi, Adrian baby, how do I look?” ‘You’re stunning’ he thought, but he couldn’t speak. “Maybe you like me more this way…” Suddenly the dress was gone, and she was in underwear.
She walked towards him. “What.. what are you doing, Dana?” “Can’t you imagine?” She was on a kiss distance now, and that was apparently what she wanted to do. Her lips were close to his.. and closer… and closer…
“ADRIAN! FOR THE THOUSANDTH TIME, WAKE UP!” He opened his eyes and woke up from his dream: the sexy and flirty Dana was replaced by the bossy and shrewish Dana he knew so well.
“Good morning to you too, sweetie!” He said, getting up from the couch. “Morning? It’s 7 PM, you fool! Your chili is smelling awful and Will and Chelsea will be here in a minute!” “My chili? Oh my god!” He rushed to the stove, just to find the meal he had prepared with great care was now a disgusting burnt thing.
“Why didn’t you turn it off?” “You never let me do it, remember? You’re the one who cooks! By the way, I had tried to wake you up a thousand time, but it was impossible! What the h.ell where you dreaming about?” He blushed “Nevermind. I’ll cook something else.” In that moment the doorbell rang. “It’s them. It’s Will. I haven’t seen for almost six months.” “Go open the door then!” She obeyed. When she opened it she was facing her brother. Chelsea was there too, but all she could see was her big brother.
They stared at each other for a couple, eternal, moments. “Hi, sis. You look pretty with those glasses.” “Yeah. The lenses were giving me an hard time, so I gave them up. I’ve never been the vain type anyway.” Silence again, then Dana threw herself into Will’s arms. “I’ve missed you so much.” “Yeah, I’ve missed you too.”
When the hug ended, Dana took a look at Chelsea, then at Will, then again at Chelsea. “D’you guys know your outfits match? You look so cute together! But come in. Adrian’s chili’s burnt, but we can order something at the take away.” They got in and Will walked towards Adrian.
“Hi, what happened to your chili? Is there a chance to fix it?” “I slept and it burnt. And about fixing it… take a look” He did. “No. Definitely. Throw it away, I’ll cook something else. What about Will’s famous pork chops?” The girls where looking at them from a distance “Dana, you’ve decorated this house beautifully.” “Thanks. And… since you two met each other, I knew you would have been the perfect match. Now I know I was right. Six months, right?” Yes, six months in a week. ”
Half an hour later, Will’s famous pork chops were ready and yummy as usual. The conversation at the dining table was nice and pleasing, until the topic of marriage was touched.
“So, what day will be the big day?” asked Dana “Big day? What do you mean?” asked Will “Your wedding, of course! I want to be a bridesmaid!” Will and Chelsea looked at each other, confused “We’re been dating only for six months, it’s too soon to think about marriage.” It was Adrian and Dana’s turn to look at each other. “I knew it wasn’t true.” said Dana, Adrian nodded “What are you talking about? What wasn’t true.” “There’s an interview to your father on the Daily and he says… why, just read it, it will be better than explaining. ”
In the interview Eric Donovan spoke about his children as he was an affectionate, caring father, lies on lies, it made Will sick. But the worst part was the end of it.
-So is your son following your footsteps?
E.D. No, he’s finding his own way, as I’ve always encouraged him to do. He’s also getting married very soon to his beautiful girlfriend, the actress Chelsea Becker. I’m so proud of him.
“Always encouraged? Proud?” said Chelsea. “Getting married?” said Will. He got up and reached for his mobile.
He dialled his father’s number and, as soon as he answered, starter screaming at him. “What were you thinking about? I understand you want to keep up our public image, but you shouldn’t have talked about my marriage. There won’t be any marriage, now and most likely never, and in any case you don’t have the right to… ”
“Will, please, I can’t talk now, I have guests. I’ll call you tomorrow. Yes, we will discuss this issue and everything you want. Will… calm down, have a sleep, we’ll talk about this, but not now. Bye.” Eric hanged up and went into the living room, where his guest was.
“I’m sorry you had to wait miss…” “Shepard. My name is Emma Shepard.”

Soon after Will called his father, Chelsea and he went home. While they were in the car, though, Chelsea didn’t spoke a word. She just sat on the passenger seat, looking out of the window, staring at nothing particular. Will thought it was weird, buy Chelsea had some odd moments from time to time, so he didn’t worry much. But when they got home and she still was acting odd, he asked for explanations.
“Won’t you tell me what’s happening?” “Don’t you know?” “Well, no, I just see you’re upset, but I don’t know the reason why.” “Oh, you really don’t, mister ‘There won’t be any marriage, now and most likely never’?” “What’s the problem? You don’t want to get married straight away, do you?” “No, sure I don’t, but I want to get married one day, and since you’re my boyfriend, I supposed you’d be the one I’d get married to, but what you said…” “Oh, come on, it’s not like you didn’t know it, you’ve known me for seven years, you knew I wasn’t the kind of guy that gets married.” “Yeah, I did, but people change when they date someone they that’s special to them, and I thought I was special to you, but it looks like I was wrong.” “Now don’t start being melodramatic. You’re special to me, ok? Very special. It’s just the whole idea of marriage that I don’t like. If you want the naked truth, I don’t think males are made for getting married; it’s not in our DNA.” She laughed, a short, sarcastic laugh “DNA! From the words of Will Donovan, the famous scientist! Oh come on, that’s the most stupid thing I’ve ever heard!”
“Ok, think as you want, but it’s clear that you and I want two very different things.” “Crystal clear. Maybe we should split up right now, instead of carrying on a relationship without a future!” She had said it. They looked at each other, shocked, then Will said “If this is what you want, ok. I’m going out now; we’ll talk it over tomorrow. I have to go out, or I’ll go totally mad.” Chelsea had realised what she had said “Will, wait…” but he didn’t listen and just went out, leaving her crying silently in front of the door.
Eric sat next to Emma. It was impossible not to notice her belly. “When are you due?” “I’m in my sixth month, so in three months I’ll have my son. Yes, it’s a boy, I have yet to think how to name him” “And my son knows nothing about it, I suppose.” “Exactly, and I don’t want him to know it. I’m sorry to say it, but Will is an irresponsible, spoiled brat, I wouldn’t trust him with the baby.” “So you consciously choose to bring up a son without a father.” “You see, I’m… let’s say, a bit older than 30. My motherly instinct is stronger than it’s ever been. I want a baby, I want it so bad that I don’t care who’s the father, I don’t care whether I’ll have a man near me or not. If I didn’t get pregnant with Will’s baby; I would have used artificial fecundation.”
“And you’re telling me because…” “Because you can’t feed a baby with motherly instinct, neither buy his crib or his napkins. You see, mister Donovan, I’ve thought about two ways of getting this money. The first one was selling my story to a gossip magazine. Rich bachelor impregnate woman and refuses to take his responsibilities, how does this sound? But that’s not the better way, Will would read it and I’d rather avoid this. The other way is… you. How much is my silence worth for you?” Eric took his chequebook , wrote something and handed it to Emma. She took a look at it and shook her head. “I’m sure you can do better than this, mister Donovan. Why don’t you add a zero?” They looked at each other straight in the eye, than Eric took the cheque again and added the zero. Emma nodded and walked towards the door.
“I’m sure you understand I’m not doing this because I’m greedy or something. I’m doing this for my baby, because I want him to have a decent life.” “With the money I gave you your baby will have the life of a king. I want to make one thing clear, miss Shepard, I want you to leave this city, bring your baby far from my son. If you’ll tell someone who the real father is, I’ll ruin your life, I can do it.” “I really believe so. Goodbye, mister Donovan” She went out. What neither Emma nor Eric knew was that someone had heard the whole conversation.
After going out, Will drove for a long time before entering a bar. There he realised he was no more the socialite he used to be: not only he couldn’t speak to anyone, he didn’t WANT to speak to anyone. He decided to play a bit of pool, alone. He thought about Chelsea, about their fight: a tiny voice inside of him told him he acted like a jerk, another told him he was right. This two voices together gave him headache, so he stopped listening to them altogether.
Suddenly someone entered the room. He kept playing without looking who it was. After a few moments that someone spoke.
“What’s a cutie like you doing here all by himself?” He turned to see a beautiful green-eyed, long-legged redhead.

14th Aug 2006, 07:20 PM
i love this story! update soon!!!
14th Aug 2006, 08:11 PM
I know it may sound stupid, but after I wrote the part where they fight i had to stop writing beacuse I was feeling sad... talk about mad people...
Gallowraven, the hair is a XM sims recolor I found on MTS2, and the earrings are not earrings, the're a hair decoration, which is on XMSims too.
Chapter 8 is written, i have to translate it becuase I wrote half in italian half in english, since I'm publishing this story on an italian forum too I have to write it in both languages, but sometimes I wrote it in english first because it's easier to me. Yes, i'm still mad, it's not normal writing in a foreign language before and THEN translating into your mothertongue.
14th Aug 2006, 11:24 PM
The red-head went closer to him with a sexy walk. “Does your girlfriend let you hang out all alone?” “My girlfriend… I don’t know if I have a girlfriend or not… I mean, I did have one, but tonight… everything’s so difficult… why on earth I’m telling this to you? I’m sorry, it’s a difficult night for me.” “So you’re single?” “I don’t know… probably yes. Anyway… I’m sorry, you’re really beautiful, I really like red-heads, but there’s this girl and even though I don’t know if we’re still an item… ”
“You still like her, don’t you?” “Yeah, I do.” “Wanna talk?” He didn’t know why he should talk to a stranger, he was usually quite reserved about his lovelife. The only person he trusted enough to talk about this stuff was Chelsea, but then , this time she was the very person he was having a problem with, so he didn’t know who to talk to. That’s there son why he found himself at a bar, revealing to a complete stranger his whole story with Chelsea, from their first meeting to their friendship, to how they became a couple, to that damned fight.
“So, what you think about it?” “Well, Willie, I think your girlfriend is lucky. I mean, most guys would already have slept with me now, but you’re here talking about this…” “Chelsea, her name is Chelsea and mine is Will, not Willie.” “What’s wrong with it, it’s a nickname!” “Which I hate.” “Ok, Willie... oops.” Will rolled his eyes, giving up.
“Still don’t think I’m much different from the other guys in that. I too would already have slept with you if she was any other of my ex girlfriends ” “You must like her a lot then. Why are you so afraid of getting married?” “I don’t know… everything is perfect with her! I think I’m afraid that this would change.. .and now the situation is changed indeed, she dumped me! I’m an idiot, aint’I? I love her.. and I never really told her, what kind of guy am I?” “You’re a guy. And not the worst of them, if you had met my ex boyfriend… Anyway, my grandma had this theory: if a couple is meant to be together, marriage is a blessing, but if they’re not, marriage is h.ell. From your words I understood that you’re meant to be together, so no need to worry.” “You’re probably right. No, you’re definitely right. What should I do now?”
“Are you really asking me? Put down that glass and run to plead her to forgive you! And telling her you love her wouldn’t hurt, either.” Will got up. “That’s what I’m going to do. Thank you so much… what was your name?” “I haven’t told you yet. My name’s Lola.” “Thank you so much Lola.” He gratefully hugged her. “You’re welcome, Willie. Could you pay the bill before leaving? One of the reasons I was picking you up is because I’m broke.” Will smiled, handed a couple of notes to the bartender and went out.
Lola kept sitting alone at the counter “Could you please explain me why every time I meet a not alcoholic, not drug-addict cute guy he’s already taken?” she asked the bartender, who looked at her with a confused face “Nevermind” she said “what about offering me a drink?”
“Have you seen Chelsea’s face? She’s so angry! And my brother didn’t’ really get it!” said Dana after Chelsea and Will had left “Yeah, she was angry, but I don’t think I’m getting it too.” “Aren’t you? She’s angry because he said those horrible things about not wanting to get married at all!” “Were they horrible?” “Gee… men would be men.”
In that moment someone rang the doorbell. It was Adrian’s father. Dana went to open the door and was about to say “Please, come in” but mister Brigham dragged her out.
“What’s up?” “I have to tell you something but I don’t want Adrian to hear.” She was very worried, the look on his face didn’t promised anything good. “Tell me” “I had to sell the paper. I’m sorry.” She was shocked. “But why... so suddenly…” “I know you worked hard to raise the sales, but it wasn't working.” “You sold it to my father?"“No, I didn’t. I sold it to Ethan Shermann, another businessman. I asked him to keep the staff but he refused.” “So we’re all fired?” “Yeah. Everybody but you, miss Dana. He asked specifically about you.” “I don’t understand…” “Neither do I… please, would you say this to Adrian? I don’t know how to tell him.” “Yes, I will.” He gave her a sad smile and slowly walked away. Dana got back in, thinking about a way to tell the bad news to Adrian, but he was on the phone. When he saw her coming in he handed it to her. “It’s Chelsea.”
“I overreacted and now he’s gone… I don’t know where… Wait, I hear a noise, it’s his car. Bye Dana!” Chelsea threw the phone on the coffee table and ran in the garage. She had been waiting for Will all the night.
Finally he was there, no more angry it seemed. He got out of the car and went towards her. She made a few steps, then stopped. They stood looking at each other for a few seconds, then they hugged. “Baby I’m so sorry.. I’ve acted like a total jerk” “Maybe you did, but I’ve overreacted. Why do I have to be so melodramatic?” “I like this in you.”
She was sobbing on his shoulder, her mascara just a past memory after all the crying she made. He looked into her eyes, kissed her gently than said “I love you, hun, and I can’t think of anything better than marrying you in a future not so remote.” “Let’s not fight again, shall we? I love you too.” They kissed, a sweet kiss that grew more and more passionate while they moved to the bedroom.

Well, at least Will came to his senses.
But if I were the Dad, I would insist that that baby have a DNA test before I fork over one more cent ... and I don't doubt that someone like Emma would try to get more money again. In fact, I probably would have insisted before I even signed a check. I'm sure that a rich handsome man like Will would be a prime target for various and sundry golddiggers.
Then again, Will COULD be the father, and he might have forgotten to use something during those amorous nights.
Thanks for the update!

AW, they're back together! I dunno why, but I really like Lola...and her hair...LOL. Very good update Nerina! :)
15th Aug 2006, 10:51 AM
You're right, Gazania, I should have thought about that. Let's say he knows about the... promiscuity of his son. Thanks for your constructive criticism, I'll keep it in mind when and if I write another story, for this now it's too late. :)
And thank you too, GallowsRaven, I'm looking for that hair, I'll give you the link as soon as I find it.
Found it! It's by LyricLee, here http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=176922
15th Aug 2006, 04:42 PM
Oops, I wasn't trying to criticize your storywriting! Sorry! Even if this were the real world, Eric might have not thorugh of demanding a blood test himself ... after all, as you wrote, Will WAS a bit ... frisky. And Eric might have heard about Emma, so he might just naturally not question her motives.
I guess it's just the cynic in me. That, and I've been overhearing too much of The Jerry Springer Show. (In the US, Jerry Springer is a TV talk show host who loves sensational topics and CONSTANTLY seems to have shows featuring babies and blood tests!) I'd better go tell that household member who keeps watching it to cut that out!
Oh, and please update soon! I won't mention blood tests again, I promise! :)
15th Aug 2006, 07:24 PM
Thankies Nerina! *Pleads for update*
15th Aug 2006, 09:53 PM
Did it sound like i was offended? I wasn't, at all! In fact, i enjoyed your post very much, I like the fact you commented so specifically. :) It's all right, really, I would have written before but I've been the whole day at my father's in hospital, so I didn't have any internet connection there.
I don't know exactly when I'll update, though. This three updates were close because I had taken a lot of pics, but now they're over :P It won't be too late, too, 3-5 days at most.
16th Aug 2006, 03:40 AM

“So what you’re gonna tell him?” “To take everyone back to work, or I’ll make him repent the day he was born!” “Go, tiger!” Yes, that morning Dana was determined to give everyone their work back. Who or what could stop her when she was like this?
She was even more determined when she got at work. She walked toward the office that was mister Brigham’s and now was Ethan Shermann’s. Getting closer, she started hearing the voice of a little girl “And then what happens, daddy? I wanna know!” “We’ll start from this point tomorrow, sweetheart, now daddy has to meet somebody. Miss Donovan? I can see you through the glass, please come in.” She couldn’t see him, but he could see her? He had a beautiful voice, very manly, he definitely wasn’t an old man like mister Brigham or her father.
She stepped in. The scene was cute: father and daughter sitting on the floor, reading a fairy tale. The girl looked like she was 8-10, straight dark hair, tanned skin, green eyes. She was absolutely adorable.
But it wasn’t the girl who got Dana’s attention. It was the father.
Tall, muscular, tanned skin, green eyes, unruly dark hair: it was like someone read her teenage journal under the voice ‘Prince Charming’ and decided to bring him to life, in the form of her new boss.
Dana was one of the few people in the world that was truly single for her own choice. But in that very moment, if she had the possibility to choose, she would have chosen to be mrs Shermann. In that very moment the 21 years old Dana Donovan fell in love for the very first time.
He got closer to her and shook her hand. That was the moment she was supposed to talk about her fired collegues, but she was almost completely speechless. “Miss Donovan… you’re so young, can I just call you Dana?” She produced an almost unperceivable sound. “I’ll take this as a yes. Please, sit on the couch.”
They both sat on the couch, he immediately drew closer to her and kissed her, her neck, her nose, her lips. She was surprised, but then starting returning the kiss and unbuttoning his shirt…
“Dana? Dana? Earth calls Dana!” That was only a daydream, of course. The reality was that mister Shermann had just told her something she didn’t heard. Not a good start with your new boss, she thought.
“I’m sorry, I was like… lost” she took a look around “Where’s your daughter?” “Audrey? She went playing outside. Man, you really did got lost, didn’t you?” He laughed, he was gorgeous when he laughed. “Anyway, you may be wondering why I kept you while I fired all the others. Well, to be honest, your articles were the only remarkable thing in the SimCity times. I want you to be my assistant.” “Like a secretary?” “Of course not! You’ll work with the staff, helm them, employ and fire them, and so on.” “Wow, that’s a lot of responsibility!” “Yeah, but you can make it, I’m sure. How old are you, 21? I was your age when I was given the very same job, and now I’m 36 and I own a paper. You can go far, trust me.” He got up. “Now let’s start working!”
They spent the whole day looking at CVs, making phone calls and organising a party, where they would show to the world the new SimCity Times. They stopped at 10 P.M, Audrey was asleep on the couch.
“She’s beautiful.” said Dana, looking at the sleeping girl. “Isn’t she? She looks a lot like her mother.” “And you keep her everyday at work with you? I mean, can’t your wife keep her at home, or, don’t you have a babysitter?” “I have no wife. I had, but she slept with my best friend and we divorced. And babysitters… she’s a difficult child, I can’t find one that can keep her. By the way, she likes staying with me and I do like staying with her. And when she has school she’s there the whole day.” Dana smiled and went out of the office. “How can you be like this?” asked him, leaning on the doorpost. “Like how?” asked her. “ Like so pretty and so goofy at the same time.”
“Goofy?” “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to be offensive. I think you’re adorable, you remind me of Audrey.” She walked away, thoughtful.
When she got home Adrian was not there. She had a shower, put on her underwear and then looked at herself into the mirror. Her hair curled on her shoulder, her roundish face made her look like a 15-year-old. She took her hair-straighter and started straightening her hair. The result was fine, but she still looked like a child. She was thinking about what she could do, like losing some weight so that her cheek would have been less roundish, when Adrian entered the bathroom wearing a bathrobe.

WOW! Ya'know, I agree with Dana, that new boss is something! Those eyes are beautiful and his skintone.....but enough swooning! I like this update a lot and hopefully Dana and the boss get together...*glances hopefully at Nerina*

20th Aug 2006, 04:23 PM
Great updates! I can't wait to see what happens in the bathroom ;) I like all the intregue going on here!
This is a bit late, lol, but most people I know had to wait until the baby was born for the DNA test? I might be wrong though ;)
20th Aug 2006, 04:42 PM
Thanks, that's very nice from you, I love your story so it means a lot to me!
I think that probably it's possible to make the DNA test even befor birth, in TV soaps they can, but I have no clue if this can be done in reality. Anywho, that's something I can't change now, and it's not big deal, really. I like advices that can help me get better.

I did a bit of Googling on that myself, because now I'm curious, and it turns out that you COULD do a DNA test before the baby is born, starting in the second trimester (14 - 18 weeks), BUT it's very rare. There are risks to both mother and child, and doctors usually will discourage prenatal DNA testing if the test is performed solely to determine paternity. So if Eric wanted to insist on a paternity test, he would probably wait until after the baby is born.
See the things you learn by reading Sims 2 stories! :)
Anyway, enough with my babbling about paternity tests! I hope you update soon, nerina!
21st Aug 2006, 07:34 AM
Wow, always great to learn new stuff. :D
Thanks for uploading him, Nerina. Yum. :P
I hope to see an update soon. :)

Sometimes people make mistakes, more or less serious. That night, in that bathroom, Dana had made a very serious mistake: she had let Adrian change her look. She couldn’t believe that blond thing with tons of black eyeliner was her, her mind refused that idea.
“So you really do think I look more mature?” asked she, with a mellifluous voice. “Yeah, you look gorgeous!” answered Adrian, who didn’t know what expected him.
“HAVE YOU SEEN ME? I LOOK LIKE A DRUNK HOOKER!” “Ok, is there an anwer that wouldn’t make you angrier?” “NO, CAUSE YOU’RE AN IDIOT!” She drove him out from the bathroom and went back to looking at her reflection in the mirror “I’ve been such a fool trusting a man, a straight man, to improve my look…” she muttered while removing her make-up. Fortunately the day after she didn’t have to go to work so she could ask for advice to someone who really knew about looks.
“It can’t be true, you’ve beaten me again!” Will, just as Dana, was desperate, but for very different reasons, like the humiliation of being beaten at videogames by his girlfriend. But that day it was even worst. “You can say it, pretty boy, and you know what it means?” Will snorted “It means we’re changing the bedroom’s furniture, ok… but I liked the one we have now, and you did too.” “It’s cute, but it’s suitable for a bachelor, someone who’s single, and you, honey, won’t never be single again, because the day I decide to dump you I’ll kill you. Just to make sure you can’t have any other woman.” “Fine, it would be nice if you gave me a notice before, so that I can give some big annoyance to my father.” “Will be done. Now, I thought we could go in that shop in the centre, than…” “Wait, wait… do I have to come too?” “Sure! Did you have other plans?” He got closet and took her in his arms. “Actually I did… but if you’d rather spend the day shopping for forniture…”
“It’s not really urgent, is it?” “No, it’s not...” they started making out, when Chelsea’s phone went off. “Don’t answer..” “I have to, honey! What if it’s someone who’s about to be killed by psychopathic maniac killer and I’m the only one that can save him?” said she, getting up to answer the phone. Will looked at her as he always did when she said some nonsensical thing. “Seriously, ho many chances are there for it to happen?”
Chelsea didn’t answer him, she answered the phone instead. “Hallo? Dana, how are you? Honey, it’s Dana!” “Sure! My little sisteer who’s always ruining the best moments! Hi Dana!”Mister grumpy says hi. What’s up? What? Sure, see you in half an hour, I’m bringing mister grumpy along.” “Wherever this place it, mister grumpy doesn’t want to come!” Chelsea hung up and looked at him with pity “Do you really think this bothers me?”
In the way to the hairstylist Will and Chelsea kept arguing about painting the bedroom walls. Obviously Will didn’t want to, while Chelsea wanted to paint it yellow, not bright but not too light, something warm and cozy but not too much, as it had to fit with the modern style windows. “Why do you worry so much, Chels? If I remember rightm you’re staying at Will just until the problem with that guy isn’t solved.”
Will and Chelsea looked at each other, smiled, than he took her hand. “That’s what we thought too, but then a lot of things happened and… it’s definitive.” Its not like they had decided this, it wasn’t something they thought about, valued and pondered . That night, when Will came back home, after they had made peace, it came spontaneous to them that was the right thing to do, and neither of them had repented. Not even will, even considering al the mess about changing furniture that Chelsea was doing. Since this relationship started he had developed more patience than he ever had in his whole life.
“Well, guys, congratulations! And you do know what the next step is, don’t you?” “Don’t say that, Dana, or he’ll run away again!” They laughed. Meanwhile the hairdresser wasn’t there still. Suddenly a redhead Will knew very well entered the room from the staffdoor.
“Willie! Is that really you?” “Willie?” said Dana and Chelsea together. “Don’t you dare calling me like that! It seems like she can’t call me any other way, but you girls, don’t do it. Hi Lola, what a coincidence seeing you here. Dana, Chelsea, this is Lola, i have talked you about her. Lola, my sister Dana and my girlfriend Chelsea.” Lola got closet to Chelsea and examined her from head to toe. “You’re beautiful, now I understand why Will didn’t want me. You’re unfair competition.” “What?” “No, just kidding…I mean, you’re beautiful, but about competition… I’m not interested in your boyfriend, really, I mean, he’s hot, but…” “I got your concept, don’t worry, do you think you could do something about Dana’s hair? ”
Lola turned around to see Dana and examined her hair “nice color, but your hairstylist must not be a great export.” “No, but he’s a great idiot. He’s my inmate, I could introduce him to you if you want, he’s a cute guy. ” “Sure, always ready to meet cute guys! But let’s think about your hair, how do you want it to be?” “Brown, to start off. Something that won’t make me look like a kindergarten baby neither an old lady.” “Okay, now let me work and you’ll be happy.”
When she was done, Dana couldn’t believe her own eyes: first, her hair was brown again, and taht was good ‘cause she was not a blond and that light color on her head made her not feel at ease; she liked the cut a lot too, she feared Lola could go for something estreme, but she didn’t, she was good at understanding each customer style and respect it. After that, Dana, Will and Chelsea went shopping, which made Will very happy (in every shop they went he kept looking at his watch and seeing “Oh my God, it’s so late!” but the girls ignored him) but Lola had been invited for that night at Will and Chelsea’s, together with Dana, Adrian and a surprise guest, a friend of Chelsea’s.

The night was going fine, Adrian and Lola seemed to have a nice feeling, but Chelsea’s friend hadn’t turned up yet. “So, what’s your friend’s name?” asked Dana, she wasn’t at her ease with couple and two people who would soon be a couple. “Ethan something” replied Will, jealous “they know each other since she was born and they’re so friends!” “What’s the problem?” asked Chelsea “The problem is you were my friend and look at us now! How can I know something like this isn’t going to happen between you and him?”
“Because I’m in love with you, baby, not him! And by the way, he may as well be my brother, as my mother was sleeping with him when I was conceived. She worked as a maid in his house, a huge villa. She was sleeping with him, the gardener, the butler, the chauffeur, the cook…but I doubt she could be my father… my mom was very… frisky. I stayed there even after her death, until I was 15. Then Ethan’s father started thinking I could as well not be his daughter, so he started being… closer, you know, random touches, dirty jokes… I tolerated this all until, one night, he entered my room saying that, since he paid my school and everything, I had to pay him back… you know how. I slammed him out of my room, packed my stuff and went away. Ethan helped my until I wasn’t economically independent. I’m very grateful to him, but I don’t love him. And I think somebody likes him… ” said looking with discretion at Dana. She had told Chelsea about her crush for her new boss, but she didn’t know they were friends. So Chelsea had organized that couples night to make them closer. In that moment she adored her so much she could kiss her, giving Will real reasons to be jealous.
“The doorbell! Dana, could you open, please?” asked Chelsea with a pretended innocence. Dana didn’t answer but went to open the door.
“Surprise!” she said Ethan, who definitely was surprised. It was clear he wasn’t aware of Chelsea’s plan. “Wow, Dana, what are you doing here? I mean, it’s great to see you, but I didn’t really expected it.”
“Looks like your friend’s boyfriend’s is my brother... hadn’t she told you?” “No, she didn’t. But it’s a really nice coincidence.” The got in and reached the group of people standing. Chelsea immediately hugged him.
“How are you? Everything’s fine? Audrey?” “I’m fine and Audrey too, thanks. She says hi.” “So, let’s start the introductions! Mister grumpy there is the man that for some strange reason I love, Will. He’s Adrian, Dana’s inmate. She’s Lola… long story. And you know Dana.” They sat on the couches to drink and chat and so it was alcohol’s fault too if Lola went out with her mime game-strip version. “Supereasy! Like, you mime something to your teammate, mine would be Adrian, Chelsea and Willie, Dana and Ethan, and if you can’t guess in a minute, one of the team has to take off something. What do you think?” “Hey, I like strip games, but not when my girlfriend and my sister are involved!” but Will was silenced by everbody.
Three hours later they were all in their underwear, more or less. Chelsea had managed to save her top, which made her and Will the leading couple. It was Adrian and Lola’s turn.
“Wrestler? Sumo fighter? I don’t know Lola, i really don’t” A minute had passed “No, idiot, ape! It was clear! And now either you take off your underpants or I take off my bra, we’ve lost!” “And what tells you I didn’t want to lose?” said Adrian with a sexy smile. She smiled too and sat next to him. “You’re a naughty boy… so, what are we doing?” Will got up “Now stop it, ok? It’s too much! This is a game only junior high kids would do and…”
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a126/misaki85/cw212.jpg Chelsea got up and hugged him “Do you really play these games in junior high? Anywho.. Will, my love, try to pass over this jealousy, you’re starting to be unpleasant, and it’s useless. You know you’re the only one that I want.” “Really? Prove it.” “Upstairs. Dana, you’ve go the keys, you close?”
Before she could answer they’d already disappeared. Dana sighed “They’re so… anyway, he really played this kind of games at junior high, he with 4 or 5 girls, there was ay other guy at all, how strange…” Meanwhile Adrian and Lola too had disappeared and they’d gone away without telling anything, leaving Dana alone with a supersexy half naked Ethan besides her.
“That’s crazy, they’re all gone!” said he. At times he gazed discretely at Dana’s half naked body. She was embarrassed by her pink panties. “Hey, are you dumb?” “No, just.. it’s emberassing… I mean…” “Oh, the half-nakedness, yeah! Let’s get dressed again, that game is over and they’re all starting a new one privately.” He smiled, a smiled that made her want to play that very same game with him too. The got dressed and played with Will’s videogames. “You’re brother seems ok., he’s mad, but not dangerous.” “He’s not so mad, normally. He’s just jealous of Chelsea, he loves her so much.” “It’s easy to see. They’re a cute couple. My wife and me, instead…” They kept chatting until morning, Dana felt comfortable with him, he even made her a compliment about her new hairstyle. At about six a.m. they started being hungry, so they looked into the fridge and saw a chocolate cake. “Hypercaloric!” said Ethan “Who cares? If Will made it, it must be yummy!” said Dana, cutting herself a slice and offering one to him. He accepted and they went sitting at the kitchen table. “You know, Dana, you’re great… I mean, every single woman I’ve dated were so worried about being fit, like I can’t eat this, carbs! I couldn’t stand them. You’re my ideal woman, if only I was 10 years younger or you 10 years older!”
Dana tried to keep indifferent. “Well, 15 years is not a big difference.. I mean, I’ve seen worst… not that I’m interested, but, just to chat, is age difference so important to you?” “15 years is a big difference, especially between 21 and 36: I’m a man, you’re a girl. If you were, say, 30 and me 45 it would be much different.” “D’you know I’ll be turning 22 very soon?” “Oh, really? That changes everything!” they both laughed, but Dana was bitter inside. Did she had to wait nine years before having any chance with Ethan?

Chelsea and will had invited Ethan for dinner. He’d been there for nearly two months, but Will didn’t trust him yet. Moreover, Ethan’s attachment to his sister had been growing and Will wasn’t sure if a 36-year-old was suitable for Dana. Still, he accepted to invite him at his house for dinner and he cooked his best lobster for him because he needed advice, a kind of advice that, between all the people he knew, Ethan was the only person who was competent about.
“So, Chels, how’s work going on?” asked Ethan “You mean my work as a waitress? Or my work as an actress?” “As an actress.” “Slow.. hadn’t been really active lately, but now I’ve got some good contacts…” her phone rang, she looked down at it. “And they’re calling right now! Will you guys excuse me for a moment?” She got up and went in the living room to have some privacy while talking on the phone. It was the moment Will had been expecting. “Ethan, I hate to ask you, I really do, but I have to.”
“Tell me, Will” “I… you know, I’ve known Chelsea from more than seven years, but I find out that there are things I still don’t know about her. Like… what kind of proposal she’d like more.” “You want to pop out the question? That’s so unexpected!” “Yeah. What’s your advice?” “I don’t know, it should really come from you. But are you sure you’re ready for all the stuff marriage mean? Family, children?” “I am. I’m sure, I’m ready for everything if I have her.” “Whatever. I’m gonna test this out.” “What do you mean?” In that moment Chelsea walked into the room. “Guess what? Next week I have two audictions. Soap operas, but still it’s something!”
“That’s great, honey!” said Will “Yes, great. Still, are you free for the weekend?” Will looked at him. What did he have in mind? “Yeah, why?” “Because Dana and I have this party to show the new SimCity Times, we’ll be busy for the whole weekend, we’ll sleep in a hotel. Unfortunately Audrey’s nanny is ill, so I’m having some problems… could you guys keep her? She loves you, Chels, and I’m sure she’ll like Will as well.” “Sure, no problem, what do you think, pretty boy?” “Yeah, no problem” So that was the test. Giving them a 8-year-old girl and see how they manage. Will was eager to give his best in this task.
They expected Audrey at 3.30 P.M., after school. It was Friday, so it was her last school day. She came on time, her father had packed some clothes, toys and school stuff. She carried her big Hello Kitty stuff toy.
“Hi Audrey, honey!” said Chelsea “Hi, auntie! Is he your boyfriend? He’s cute!” “Isn’t he?” Will smiled. They said hallo to Ethan and went in. After carrying her stuff into the guestroom, they went back downstairs to think about how to spend the day. “No studying, you already had school. ” said Will. “What about swimming? Can you swim?” “Sure I do! But I can’t dive.” “Really? Then I’ll have to teach you!” After changing into their swimsuits, Will and Audrey started their diving lessons, while Chelsea sunbathed.
“Okay, Audrey, you’re going fine! Just one more step…” “I’m scared!” “You don’t have to, I’m here!” Chelsea looked at them, at the nice picture they made. If you didn’t notice the different skin and the fact that they’re features were so different, they could as well be father and daughter. And he made a great father, she had to notice.
Later they played with her, read her some tales, played video games. Will was fabulous all the times. He really had a connection with children, maybe just because he had a inner child himself, but it wasn’t just that. It was something Chelsea didn’t understand really well, a inner depth of his character she loved.
Will made pizza for dinner, Audrey’s favourite food. “This is yummy, uncle Will!” “Thanks’ sweetie, glad you like it.” “Are you married to auntie Chelsea?” “No” he answered, then took a glance at Chelsea “Not yet.”
Chelsea looked at him, smiled than said “Audrey, honey, it’s bedtime! Go, brush your teeth.” They all got up, Chelsea kissed the girl goodnight and whispered in Will’s ear. “Put her in bed, I’ll pour some drinks.” Will and Audrey went upstairs, she changed into her Pjs, brushed her teeth and fell asleep as soon as her head touched the pillow. Will tucked her in and sat next to her for a while.
The more he looked at the girl, the more he kept thinking about how his and Chelsea’s kids would look like. Most people believed he wasn’t the kind of guy who would make a good father, too immature, too irresponsible. In fact, he looked forward to have children. His own childhood had been wretched by a cold father, he wanted to show to everyone, but mainly to himself, he wasn’t like Eric Donovan, he was able to be a loving and caring father .And a husband too, though this came just recently. He realized it didn’t matter how he would pop out the question: he just had to do it.
He slowly walked downstairs, with a firm resolution in his mind.
When he reached her, Chelsea was preparing drinks. “Have you had a difficult time making her sleep?” “No, at all, she’s very good. Chelsea, would you sit down here, I have to talk to you.” “Sure, baby. Anything wrong?” “Wrong? Nothing, absolutely, it’s all right. Things couldn’t be more right, actually. Please, sit.”
They sat “What do you have to tell me, pretty boy?” “You’re stunning, baby, you’re so… man, it’s difficult! Not here… there, next to the fireplace, let’s have some firelight.” “Honey, it’s may and it’s already so hot in here!” But the didn’t listen, he just lightened up the fire and nodded her to reach him. She did, still wondering what he had I his mind.
“I’m not getting you, Will, what do you want to tell me?” “It’s not easy… I just want to say it the best I can… Chelsea, I love you. You’re the best thing that could ever happen to me. You’re the only thing that gives my life a sense.” “Oh, Will, baby, I love you to…” He got on his knee “Please, be my wife. Marry me.”
She was speechless. The same man who ran away afraid of getting married was now proposing to her, and in the best way she could imagine. He misunderstood her silence “I know, you would have liked a different situation, formal clothes, a fancy restaurant… and maybe it’s too soon, but honey, we’ve know each other for so long that…” “No, Will, that’s perfect, I love spontaneous proposals. That’s your mother’s ring? It’s beautiful!” “Yeah, but it can be yours if you want. And I can be yours too, if you want me.” She grinned “You’re already mine. Yes, honey. I’ll marry you.” She jumped into his arms, he hold her as strong as he can. What they had now was perfect happiness.
End of chapter 11. Sorry it took so long! Next chapter we'll see how Ethan and Dana's party went and we'll find out something about Lola's past. And don't forget there's always a pregnant Emma around...

They do indeed, nckw, I have them happily married and with teen twins kids, a boy and a girl. They look quite good, though the boy looks a bit strange with Chelsea's skintone, it's too pale for guys.

"Chelsea, I feel so... I mean, I don't know what to do, think I'm ready but..." It was an hour Dana was on the phone, she had talked with Chelsea the whole time she was getting dressed for the party. She was wearing her prettiest dress and her hair was up, she definetely looked more mature. She said to herself she did it to impress the guests, but actually it was to impress her co-host. "Listen, hun, I can't see you but I'm sure you're gorgeous. Now go and get them... or him." "Yeah, sure!"
He hunged up on Adrian just in the moment when Ethan entered the room. It was her hotel room, but he rarely knocked doors, as she has already learned. He was wearing a grey outfit with a black shirt, he had shaved, too, he looked younger without his beard. So, if she looked more mature and he younger, that would made them the same age, wouldn't it? As soon as he saw her, Ethan reached for her hand and kissed it. This gave Dana an extra fast heart beat.
"You're beautiful tonitght" he said "Well, you're always beautiful, but tonight... wow! I'm speechless." She smiled "Thanks, you look good too. I've never seen you without a beard" "Cleaner look for the party. Now let's go downstairs, guests are coming."
And they really were, very important managers, people with money that Ethan and Dana hoped they would spend in advertising on their paper. They got on the stage, took their microphones and started the welcoming speech. "Welcome to the promotion party for the new SimCity Times. I'm the editor and owner Ethan Shermann and this lovel lady is my assistant, miss Dana Donovan. We're here to show you our new and improved paper, a copy of which you can take for free when you'll leave the party." "But meanwhile" said Dana "enjoy your time here. We've provided the best music and the best drinks, and ou are the best company, so have fun!" They all clapped, Dana and Ethan got off the stage and then the party began.
It was a great success, both socially and economically. Dana and Ethan never had a free moment until the very end, when they all paired up for a slow dance. Dana was standing alone, watching the couples dancing, deeply envying them, when Ethan appeared next to her. She hadn't heard him coming. "Hi. Do you think I could invite the most beautiful woman of the party to dance with me?" She was puzzled "I suppose so. Go and ask her." Ethan looked at her to see if that was a joke, but understood it wasn't. "Ok, well... do you want to dance with me, Dana?" "Oh my, you meant me? Man, I'm so dumb!" "Don't worry, it's very cute in you. You're the smartest, but when it comes to flirting you're clueless." Flirting? "Yeah... ok, let's dance." So Ethan was flirting with her! That gave her hope, she had to try all her possibilities. She got really close to him, her forehead touching his.
"I have to be totally honest to you, Ethan. I like you. A lot." "Yeah, I knew, and I like you a lot to, but..." "It's the age difference? Come on, that's stupid!" "True. There's something else, something I can't tell you." "And it's really important?" "Yes" "So important to make you stay without... this?" she kissed him. She did. Never in her life she had been brave enough to make the first move on a guy, but she had never been in love before, too. She found she was ready to everything. As she hoped, he reacted at her kiss kissing her back, holding her tight.
The slow dance finished, and with it the party. After greeting their guests, it was natural for them to go into her bedroom. Some time later, Ethan was in his underwear, while Dana was wearing his shirt. Whatever the thing that prevented Ethan from getting even whit her was, it wasn't strong enough to make him resist her avances. In the middle of their pleasant night, of course, Ethan's phone rang.
"Why didn't you turn it off?" said Dana, getting off the loveseat and going to take the phone. "What if there was an emergency with Audrey?" "She's with Will and Chelsea, she's safe. And..." she turned silent as soon as she saw who was calling. She stayed still for a moment, than refused the call.
She turned around to face him. "Why is my father calling you?" "Dana?" "Why is my father calling you?" "I'm sure you can..." "I've asked why is my father calling you! Why? Why on earth? Why did you never told me you know him?" "Because I knew you would have got angry?" she ignored him. She actually didn't care about his answers "I want a clear explanation, now!" "You won't let me talk!" "I will. So, speak, tell me." This time he kept silent. Dana was as cold as ice "Fine. Let's ask him." She dialled her father number, while Ethan was telling her not do it. Meanwhile, Eric had answered. "Eric? Dana speaking."

I wanted to say, too, that for the hotel shots I've used this lot http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=133662&highlight=grand+hotel, though you can see very little of it and the rooms are redecorated, but I felt it was correct to five proper credit to the creator.

Ethan’s behaviour had been the principal conversation topic for the Donovans and people near them. Will was the angriest, he knew he couldn’t trust Ethan, he felt it. The fact he was the way Eric used to control Dana was predictable. Will was angry even because, if he had expressed that feeling, he could have spared his sister’s feeling from being hurt, but he didn’t and now Dana’s heard was broken. Chelsea was confused, still Ethan was a friend of hers and she wanted to hear his part too. But truly she wasn’t thinking about it much, she had her own problems. For example her constant sickness and her periods that weren't showing up yet. Will had noticed that too, at least the sickness.
“Haven’t you got anything to tell me, Chels?” “I’m as informed as you, trust me. I should take the test but I’m a bit of scared.” “The test shouldn’t be painful” “Not the test! Everything… everything else.” “Having a baby?” “Yeah! I mean, I’m an actress, it could ruin my career and you know how it is important to me, and isn’t it too soon? If I really am pregnant it means I’ll have a huge belly our wedding day and I don’t want to look at the pics and think about how fat I was” “Honey…” “And what about giving birth? Don’t talk about it! And I wanted toh ave some time for us after the marriage, but if we’ll have a baby we couldn’t…” her speech was interrupted by a morning sickness attack that forced Chelsea to run in the bathroom. Will followed her. He did understand her state of mind and he shared it partially, but he knew well that it wouldn’t be good if the both of them went nuts. And he did want a baby with Chelsea, better if it was a girl.
He opened a drawer in the bathroom and took a pregnancy test out of it. “Why do you have it?” asked Chelsea. “It happened with some girls, so I always keep one just in case. I’ve always used protection, but there’s always a bit of risk.” She smiled “Do you have any secret child?” He smiled her back “Not that I know, I’ve always been lucky. But this time I really hope the test is positive.” Will’s confidence made Chelsea feel better, her fears started losing sense. She did the test, then they waited together, in silence. The result made them happy but with kind of a sense of unreality. Chelsea had started talking non-sense again, but Will took her by the hand and brought her in front of the mirror.
“Look at use, love.” He said “what do you see?” “You and I, why?” “Two people in love that are about to get married. A child was in our life project anyway.” “Yeah, but we’ll have to make changes…” “Sure. First of all we should get marries sooner. You don’t want to get married with a baby bump, do you? What about next month?” “A month? It’s so soon, how can we organze everything?” “It’ll be a simple ceremony, we’re gonna make it, I promise” They hugged, the moment would have been perfect if it wasn’t for Chelsea’s morning sickness. And the doorbell, that kept ruining their best moments. But the worst thing was finding Ethan outside the door.
Audrey ran into Will’s arms. “Hi, uncle Will! I’ve missed you!” “That’s the effect I have on women.” One of the things Chelsea liked more about Will was how he could laugh even in the worst moments. Ethan was staring at her her intensely. “Will, love, didn’t you have to go out?” she said. He understood. “Yeah, correct, I have to go out.” “Can I go with him, dad?” asked the girl with a huge smile. “You should ask Will” “Sure you can. I’ll take her home after I’m done.”
Will and Audrey went out and Chelsea walked into the kitchen to make some coffee. Ethan followed her. “You drink this little coffee? It’s not usual for you.” “I have to cut on it. I heard it’s bad during pregnancies.” “You’re pregnant? It’s great, congratulations!” he tried to hug her, but she avoided him and went sitting on the living room couch. “Don’t you wanna hear my version? Asked him sitting next to her. “Dunno. Tell me just the same.”
You know I’ve inherited my father’s business, don’t you? Well, he didn’t leave it to me in a good state. A big part of the family fortune he spent in gambling, prostitutes or whatever, I’m not that much interested. Anyways, I tried to save it, but I couldn’t do much, I went bankrupt. And here comes Donovan like a shark, he offers me a job and, Chelsea, you’re having a baby, you can understand me if you try. I did it for Audrey. “Was your job sleeping with Eric’s daughter?” “Chelsea, please. My job was to make Donovan’s rebellious and stubborn daughter believe she wasn’t working for her father, while in fact she was. And I did it. But I found out Donovan’s daughter is not only rebellious and stubborn, she’s brilliant and wonderful, too. I fell immediately in love with her, and she fell for me, but I didn’t want to fool her, so I made up a lot of excuses. It was hard.” “So hard that Saturday night you couldn’t resist.” “What could I do? She almost jumped upon me! I’m a man, not a machine.” “Ok. I understand you, at least I want to. What will you do?” “I thought maybe you could talk to her, you’re friends, she’s gonna listen to you. I tried to call her but she doesn’t want to hear from me.” “Can you blame her? Ok, I’ll see her tomorrow, I’ll try to convince her to answer your calls. I’m not sure she’ll accept, though.” “You’re my angel.” He kissed her on her cheek and went away. Chelsea was confused, Ethan was the only family she had apart from Will, so she wanted to trust him., but she thought that cheating on Dana like this, without even know her, was plain wrong. She wished she could talk about this to Will, even though she knew he hated Ethan, as a good older brother that protects his lil’sis, but he had gone to face his father and she knew how long arguments lasted at the Donovans’.
“Where are we going, uncle Will?” “At my father’s. He’s got a huge house with a big garden, you can play there if you want, while I talk to him.” “Can’t I stay with you?” “Bad idea. It won’t be a nice chat. You see, some fathers are good, others are… not so good. My father is the second kind.” While they were talking they arrived at the Donovan’s manor. “What about those suitcases, uncle Will?” There was a lot of suitcases and packages next to the gate. “I don’t know. I really have no clue at all.” They ringed the doorbell and Lauren came to open the door.
“Hi Will, it’s nice to see you! And isn’t this cutie-pie Ethan Shermann’s daughter?” “Lairen, why are you wearing a fur coat in June? And what about those suitcases?” She took a look at the girl and said “Honey, why don’t you go play in he garden while Will and I have a talk?” The girl went and the adults went in. “Your father and I are divorcing.” Started Lauren “I can’t stand him anymore, he ahs a horrible behaviour. Sorry to have to say that, you’re his son.” “You can insult him as much as you want and I’ll agree with you. I don’t know why you married him at all!” “Yes, me too. Will, why are you here?” “I have to talk to him. He can’t handle Dana’s life like this. He stopped doing it with me so he started with her.” Lauren bit her lip and stopped walking. Will looked at her “What’s up?” “Will… he’s actually handling your life too. I should have told you before, I’m sorry.” “What?” “Three months ago a woman came and Eric gave her a lot of money. She was six months pregnant.” “Oh my God. Black hair, dark blue eyes, tall?” “Yes.” “Emma! Why didn’t she told me? She went to my father to buy his silente, didn’t she?” “You’re smart.” Will went into the pool room where his father was. Eric handed a cue. “A game?” “Not now! Why didn’t you tell me anything about Emma, what right did you have?” “Play, Will, and I’ll explain everything. You start.” Will took the cue, but that didn’t mean he had given up on the argument.
“You’re a public person, Will, want it or not. You’re my heir. When I’ll die you’ll have to take care of the family business, it’s a six generations long tradition and I don’t accept excuses. You have to keep your image clean. A player, that’s fine, but not a player with illegitimate kids around. By the way, what kind of father you think you would be? You’re immature, you’re physically adult but you’re a teenager in your mind.” “How can you know that? How? I can’t even remember the last time we spoke, what do you know about me? Maybe it’s true, I’m not a serious and well-behaved man, what about that? Do you know Chelsea and I are getting married? And she’s pregnant, too? Yes, I’ll be a father and maybe I don’t know how to be a good father, but I definitely know what to do not to be a horrible father, because my father has been horrible!” “You don’t know what you’re saying.” “I do, very well! You never showed affection towards me or Dana, do you think it’s normal to forbid your kids to call you dad?” “It’s a useless and soppy word. I wanted you and your sister to be a different kind of people, balanced and professional.” “You did a great job! Anyway a parent-kid relationship shouldn’t be like this, it should be… a parent-kid relationship, damn!” “In what way are you entitled to talk about this?” “Talking to you it’s useless. Where can I find Emma?” “No clue. Not interested.”
“Well, I’ll find this out by myself.” While he was going out Eric told him “When you’ll finally grow up you’ll understand I’ve done it for a good reason.” “Shut up!” Lauren followed him. “I’m sorry I haven’t told you before, I don’t know why…” “It’s ok, you weren’t the one who had to tell me. But I do appreciate the fact you’ve told me now.” “You know? It’s a boy.” “It’s a shame I won’t see him. I don’t think Emma still lives where she used to, not after Eric bought her silence.” “You don’t know anyone who knows her?” “No. Wait, there’s that guy…” “Which guy?” “That friend of her, the one who slept with Chelsea. The idea of the two of them together… I’d kill him!” “But you weren’t an item at that time! And if he has some information about your son I think you should put your non-sensical jealousy aside.” “Yeah, all right, but I’ll have to ask Chelsea for a contact and this means I’ll have to tell her about all this too, how will she take it? She’s normally melodramatic, if you add pregnancy! I can’t imagine.” “She’s gonna take it in a bad way, but she’ll get over it. She loves you and she’ll appreciate the fact that you want to find your baby. Oh, and congratulations!” “Thanks. Consider yourself invited to the wedding, you can be sure Eric won’t be there.” “I’ll definitely come.” Lauren’s taxi had arrived, Will helped her with her luggage, found Audrey and, after dropping her at her father’s, went back home to speak with Chelsea.
Chelsea didn’t take it very well. She wasn’t angry, she was shocked, the only thing she could do was drinking coffee over coffee. “Honey, I don’t think caffeine is good for the baby.” “Whatever. When it grows up I’ll tell it I had a caffeine overdose because he’s father hung around impregnating other women.”
“I’ve… impregnated Emma before our story began. And definitely it’s not something we wanted, I can assure you I’ve been careful, but it happened, like it happened with you too. Chelsea, it’s my duty to find this baby. He’s my son.” “What if he’s not your son? Maybe she said so only for the sake of taking your father’s money.” “Maybe, but I don’t think so. I can’t explain you why, but I’m sure it’s my son. I’ve got to see him.” “I don’t want to lose you, I don’t want you to get back with her. You’re such a sweet guy, you could do that for the happiness off the baby.” “I can’t see how having two parents that are a couple even though they don’t love each other could make a baby happy. I want to stay with you, I want to marry you, I want to have kids with you, but I can’t ignore the existence of another son of mine.” “You’re right. Sorry, I’m kinda confused.” He hugged her gently.
“It’s all right. It’s been an hard day for everyone, I understand you. But I need your help. Do you know how to contact that friend of her, that disgusting guy?” “You say so only because I’ve slept with him, but you’re right. I know where he lives.” “Great! We’ll go there tomorrow”
They spent the night watching a movie lying on the couch, not having the strength to do much else.

What an update!
I'm still hoping that Ethan and Dana make it as a couple. I think Ethan's heart is in the right place. Any man that puts his daughter first tells a lot about his true character.
I think Eric let a good thing slip away. I like Lauren. As for Chelsea and Will I'm looking forward to seeing how they deal with two babies on the way. :)
20th Sep 2006, 04:16 PM
Thanks, glad you liked it. It's actually one of my favourite. And I like Lauren a lot too. Hopefully next chapter is not very far away, but I don't make promises I'm not sure to keep.

Beautiful cover, love your pictures and I'm excited about the babies!!! I hope Chelsea and Will have a long and happy life! :D
30th Sep 2006, 01:45 AM
I hope so too :D
I'll update soon, I have got the pics for a short chapter and some for a longer one, that will be the last before last, if this makes sense. I'll have to cut a part of the storyline becuase it's quite lame. I wrote it when I was without inspiration.
But... there will be a sequel, I've decided so after I made Chelsea give birth to see how her baby would look like and she's absolutely gorgeous. Here she is grown up with InSim
Isn't she beautiful? So, there will be a sequel with her as a child.
Meanwhile, congratulate Chelsea for winning The Next Female Superstar contest :D http://forums.sims2community.com/showthread.php?t=21796
I think I'll turn the short story I created for round six into a longer one, too.

“Did you really sleep with a guy that lives in such a place?” “Don’t be so snobby, pretty boy, not everyone is rich, you know?” “Yeah, I know. Guess I just hate him because he did… that… with you.” They were in front of Cole’s apartment, about to knock on the door. “Listen, Chelsea, it’s here that you and him… ?” “No, Will, not here, at my place. I know he lives here because he wanted to collect his toothbrush. He had the whitest teeth I’ve ever seen.” “Your place? That’s even worst!” “It doesn’t matter now, we have our own place, mine, yours and our baby’s. Do you want me to complain about every single girl you’ve slept with?” “This would take too long. Let’s just talk with this Cole guy ” “Great idea.”
In the very moment Chelsea was ringing the doorbell, a womanly scream of pain came from inside. They rushed inside to find a pregnant brunette about to give birth. Cole was there, half furious because Emma had to give birth exactly when she was visiting him and half scared. As soon as he saw Will and Chelsea he screamed “What’re you doing here? Damn it, who cares? Have you got a car?”
They did of course. They rushed to the Henry Donovan Memorial Hospital: it took its name from Will’s grandfather, who donated a lot of money to the hospital (so did Eric and Will) and therefore he was sure Emma would have a princess treatment. They were carrying her to the labour room, Will took Chelsea’s hands and looked into her eyes deeply. She knew what he meant, sighed and nodded. He kissed her gently and followed the nurse who was carrying Emma. It hurted, but Chelsea knew that Will wanted to see the birth of his son and not allowing him to do so would be cruel. She just sat in the waiting room, Cole sitting five chairs far to her. They waited the whole morning without saying a word. Only around 1 a.m. Cole got up from his chair and went to talk to her.
“I don’t know about you, but I’m starving. What about going out for a sandwich?” He was surprisingly polite, so Chelsea answered him in a polite way too. “No, thanks, I’m not really that much hungry. And I don’t want to leave the hospital, I know it will take a long time, but I’d rather stay here.” “As you wish. Fancy an ice-cream? There’s a machine here.” “Why not?” She got up and let him offer her an ice-cream. “So, how long have you and Donovan been together?” he casually asked “About nine months, just the time for your friend to have a baby – sorry, sarcasm not needed, huh?” She sat again, he sat next to her. “That’s pretty normal for you, I believe. It shouldn’t be an easy position yours, is it?” “No, it isn’t, you’re right. Hey, where does all this empathy come from?” “Dunno. The miracle of life?” They both laughed. “No, seriously. Guess I’m not that bad around girls I don’t want to sleep with… again. Or better, that I know that they don’t want to sleep with me again.” “At least you helped me understand what I wanted. Hope this is what Will wants still. He assured me it was, but I’m worried.” “Come on! Everyone can see he’s crazy for you. No need to worry, girl!” Eventually, Cole made her calm down, he grew on her to the point she invited him to the wedding. He accepted saying that it was easier to get girls at weddings.
It was late night when the baby was born. Will was over happy, he was enthusiast. He spent an hour with the baby in the nursery, that wasn’t possible for normal people, but he was a Donovan.
For a lot of time he didn’t notice her. Then he did and made her signs that meant “Come in”. Not very sure of what she was doing, she entered the nursery. “I’m sure I’m not supposed to be here.” Said she “Neither am I. But my family almost built this hospital, they wouldn’t mind me having a rave party in here, let alone making my future bride see my son.” He smiled “Isn’t he adorable? Do you want to hold him?” “You don’t mind?” He passed her the baby, she felt a strange feeling.
“He’s definitely your son, he totally looks like you. His eyes are Donovan blue.” He laughed “Is that a new colour? But yes, you’re right. We did a paternity test, but even before I knew he was my son. I felt it.” “I’m glad to see you this happy.” “Sure I’m happy! You know that since my mother’s death I never had a true family and I missed it a lot. But now I’m here, with the woman who will soon be my wife and one kid and… a half, and I never felt this good. Not counting that time you wore that naughty maid outfit, course. No, counting that too, but still that was a great view.” “Oh, pretty boy, will you ever grow up?” She was smiling “Maybe a bit, but I’m afraid I’ll always bit kinda childish. Is that a problem for you?” “No. I find it very attractive, actually.” They kissed, a delicate kiss because of the baby she was holding. After a while they went home, Chelsea went to sleep, Will had a shower and went back to the hospital.
It was morning and he was still with the baby, when Emma went into the nursery on her wheelchair.
“They told me you’ve been here almost the whole night.” They hadn’t spoke much, while giving birth Emma wasn’t quite in the mood for chatting. He was still angry at her. “Yeah. Does that bother you? I don’t care, he’s my son and if you refuse to let me see him… ” “I have no such intention. Will, I didn’t think you would want to recognize him.” “Yes, poor girl, so you went to spill my father’s money.” “I need that money.” “I’ll pay for everything this boy might need. He’s my son, you should have told me. No excuses.” “Will, this world is not all flowers and bunnies, you know. I did what I did and I don’t regret it. I’ll be honest, I didn’t want the Will I knew to even touch my baby. But now I see you’re engaged, Cole told me you’ve got another baby on the way, you’re taking responsibilities. Will… I don’t ask you to forgive me, I don’t want to be your friend or to come to your wedding even if Cole will. Just… let’s try not to fight each other, for the baby’s sake. And about him, I was thinking about calling him Henry, you know, like your grandfather.” “Henry Donovan. I like it. Fine, for the name and all. Let’s get along for Henry’s sake.” He kissed the baby’s cheek and passed him to Emma “Stay with your mom, dad’s got a wedding to prepare.” Then he said to Emma “I’ll come visit later today. We’ll talk about him.” Then he got away.

Great update! :) Everyone is being so civil...so far....
I loved the dialouge in this chapter between the characters. The part about the maid outfit was cute. You can feel the love between Chelsea and Will.
I can't wait to read more. :)

Thanks Montridge, that's exactly what I wanted to show. Maybe it's becuase I've read all Jane Austen's books *Mr Darcy...*, sorry, fangirl moment, but I like to use dialogue as a way to show the relationships between characters.

So, I've changed a piece of the story. Means I've got rid of the whole Lola-James storyline, it just didn't fit into the story and it was crap. Here's chapter 12 without it, starting with Dana's story, just the first paragraph is different. http://forums.sims2community.com/showpost.php?p=580029&postcount=115

Okay, I'm half way thorough the writing of chapter 15, so expect it soon :D Who nows, maybe this same night!
Posting it right now. You may notice the lighting change at half of the chapter. That's because I've installed the Radiance mod.

Just a week before the big day, Will and Chelsea were super busy with the organization, giving final touches. That day Chelsea and her bridesmaid, Dana, went around shopping for flowers, organizing the catering, same usual stuff. “I can’t believe you choose the dress with Will, he wasn’t supposed to see it.” said Dana. They were in Chelsea’s car, driving to the couple’s new gigantic house, where the wedding was to take place. Nobody had seen it apart from them, so now Dana was going to look at it for the first time. “You know we’re not for traditions, we’re an unconventional couple. And, please, tell me you haven’t organized anything for my bachelorette party. We’ve planned a date for the night before the wedding.” “Whatever. But I really don’t… Oh my god, this house is huge!” They had arrived to the house, of course. “Yeah, but we can afford it. After winning that contest I have a lot of work now, films, ads and such, and Will… well, he’s got more money he’ll ever use in his whole life. Plus, he says that with a baby on the way we need a big house.” “Is your baby a giant?” “Oh, come on!”
As soon as they got in, Chelsea made Dana follow her upstairs. “I’ve got something to show you. You’re gonna like it.” They went into a room: it was a nursery with delicate tones of pink. “Wow, it’s so cute! How do you know it’s a girl?” “We don’t. We just hope so. Will says he gets along with female better and I’d really love to have a daughter too, you know, to have kind of that mother/daughter relationship that you see in Gilmore girls. Well I’m not 16 and her father will be with us, but still…” “Yeah, I understand. What if it’s a boy?” “We’ll love him just the same, of course. I can’t wait to have our baby sleep here.” She was looking at the crib with a dreamy look. Dana wasn’t such a fan of babies, so she waited for the moment to pass.
“Anyway” she said, after Chelsea had been staring at the crib for too long “Why don’t we go and try our dresses on?” “Yeah, that’s why we came. This… and another reason I’ll tell you later.” “Why are people always hiding things from me? Well, guess, I’ll find out later.”
They tried their dresses on in Will and Chelsea’s bedroom. “Wow, it’s so beautiful and it looks great on you!” “Thanks! Will wanted me to have something that show more skin, but I reminded him it’s a wedding and not one of those night time games of ours.” “Please, I don’t want to know anything about those games.”
Dana stared at her friend’s dress. Chelsea noticed it. “Do you want to try it on?” “May I?” “Sure!” She eagerly accepted. “Look at me, I’m a bride!” joked as soon as he got it on. “Yeah, you look great! Actually, you look better than me with the dress on.” “You must be joking! I don’t fill it on the front as well as you do, if you get the meaning.” “Oh, come on!” Then they heard Will’s car. He entered the bedroom to find his sister wearing his bride’s dress. “Hey, you look good! But you don’t… uhm… fill it much, you know… in the breasts department” “Thanks for reminding me!”
He patted her shoulder and went to kiss Chelsea. “Have you told her, baby girl?” “No, not yet, pretty boy.” “What do baby girl and pretty boy have to tell me?” said Dana mocking them. “Nothing” said Will “Just that you’re staying at dinner here, to inaugurate our new house.” “And…” added Chelsea “actually, uhm… Ethan is coming too.” she pronounced the last part of the sentence very quickly, but Dana understood it. “No way, it’s either me or him.” “Dana, he had good reasons, you know, and he’s sincerely sorry.” It was Will who said so. “I can’t believe my ears! Didn’t you hate him?” “I guess I understand him better now that I’m a father myself. And my bride wants him to be at our wedding, so you two have to talk. Just find a civil way to get along, ok? Just a day.” She nodded, but it was clear she didn’t like it at all.
The dinner was going fine, apparently, but Dana hadn’t spoke a single word to Ethan still, and when he tried to talk to her she suddenly had something to tell Will or Chelsea. The situation wasn’t getting anywhere, so Will decided it was better to leave them alone.
“Honey, could you help me with the dishes?” “We have a dishwasher, love.” He raised his brows “It’s broken.” “Oh, yeah, sure, forgot! Must be the pregnancy… let’s go.” They rushed into the kitchen. “The dishes! Didn’t’ you have anything better? Like, throwing wine on your shirt?” “Give me a break, ok? I’ve said the first thing that came into my mind!” “Okay, right… they need to stay alone for a while. Any idea of what we could do meanwhile?” He had ideas indeed.
They heard their steps going upstairs from the dining room. Dana got up and was walking out of the door “Where are you going?” said Ethan getting up. “It’s non of your business. Well, if you really want to know, I’m going to the toilet. Do I have to ask your permission first?” “You’re not really going to the toilet, are you? You just want to avoid talking to me.” “Can you blame me for that?”
He sighed “I can’t. But really, I’m sorry for everything I’ve done.” “Sorry isn’t enough. I loved you. I still do but I’m trying to cancel this feeling and hopefully I will. I’ve never loved anyone else, I’ve fought against my own character for you and you broke my heart, you betrayed my trust, how can I forgive you?” “I love you too and I respect you, that’s why I never even touched you before that night. And then… you kissed me! I mean, I should have refused you, but you know, sometimes it’s not just our brain what makes the decision.” “You’re making me sound like a nympho!” but she knew he was right. “I’ve left the job, if that counts. I’m in a new business now, some internet stuff I’m sure you don’t give a damn about. Just.. I don’t work for your father anymore. I wanted you to know this, and…” “Ok” she interrupted him. “Ok what?” “Apologies accepted. We can be friends, but nothing more, ok? Not now.” “Wow, great, perfect. Maybe in a near future…?” “Don’t get too far, I’ve forgiven you, be thankful, shut up and get me a dessert.” “Yes ma’am.”

I really liked this chapter because there were quite a few parts that made me smile. I really love these characters.
P.S. I'm still routing for Dana and Ethan to make it as a couple.

Thank you guys! I'm working on the pics for the last 2 chapters, three if one of them turns too long. I'd like to post them in a short time from each other, so I'm working on them both almost at the same time. Add university lessons starting, awful italian railways (no, really, ask whoever is italian if they don't just suck, even in short distances) and you get my situation. But I'm almost done.
Again, i appreciate your feedback a lot :)

The night before your marriage, you’re supposed to be hanging out with your girls/guys in a pub or strip club or something, but Will and Chelsea weren’t the kind of couple that do what they’re supposed to. That’s why they had a date instead of a bachelor and bachelorette party.
“I can’t believe we’re getting married. Tomorrow! Actually, in about 12 hours.” “Yeah, pretty boy. The most incredible thing is that you’re still here and didn’t elope with a Brazilian dancer dressed in feathers.” “I don’t like feathers, you know? And I don’t speak Portuguese either. “Oh, shut up! By the way, do you remember how we first met?” “Course I do! It was for that mad friend of yours, what was her name? Nancy?” “Annie, it was Annie…”
7 ½ years before School is bad by nature, especially catholic schools where you have to wear a uniform with an unfashionable long skirt. But it was even worst for Chelsea when her friend Annie Hall decided to get her into one of her troubles. Annie was rich, as was everyone in their school apart form Chelsea, (who had a scholarship), fake blonde and nuts. She would hang around in high society parties and college ones as well, flirting with one guy one moment and the other the next. She was always in trouble at school because of her manners and the heavy make-up she refused to take away. It was surprising she was friend with Chelsea. She lived alone, after eloping from her “father’s” house, had a part-time job and studied hard too, not counting acting school. Her look was very different from Annie’s, brown curls and light, natural make-up, both at school and outside school. She still was very pretty and popular and that was the only thing she and Annie had in common.
“No way, Annie, absolutely.” “But why? Come on, Chels, live!” “I do live, I just don’t want to go to a boring high society party with 50-year-old business man who try to hit on you.” “There’s not only 50-year-olds, you know? There’s even 30-year-olds!” “We’re 17, Annie, that’s still too old for us. And didn’t we had to go to that university party?” “No, I can’t… you remember I told you about that Will guy?” “The one whom you stole a car?” “I didn’t stole it, I borrowed it. Just, I crushed it against a tree and forgot to tell him. But who cares? He’s a Donovan, he can buy as many cars as he wants!” “So what’s the problem?” “He’ll be at that uni party tonight and I don’t want to see him.” “Is he very ugly or just mad at you for stealing his car?” “I didn’t… well, ok, he’s mad at me. By the way, he’s not ugly at all. He’s by all chances the hottest guy I’ve ever seen. But you’ll never find out because we’ll avoid seeing him forever.” “It’s ok. I’m not that much interested.” “Will you come to that party with me?” she sighed “You’ll never stop asking, will you? Well, ok, I’ll come.” “Great! Dress smart and show some skin. And please, do your hair up!”
Will liked playing pool. It relaxed him, it was a moment on his own and he rarely had those moment to enjoy. Sure, sometimes his roommate Ron came in the room to bother him with some crap he didn’t want to know anything about. Ron was usually really cool to hang out with but, just like many other people at their dorm, he considered Will as kind of a superior being: you could be sure anywhere he went he’d find a girl, even if at 20 he still looked like a teen, he managed to have good grades but not too high to be considered a geek, he was the heir of a wealthy legacy and still wasn’t snob or acted superior.
“So, dude, what’s up?” “D’you remember that Annie girl?” “Course I do, she stole my car! I don’t want to see her fake blonde face anymore. I could never hit a girl, but she could be the exception.” “She’s coming to the party at Ed’s this night.” “Well, I won’t meet her, fortunately. I have go to this other party, a charity thing my Eric’s wife organised. Boring, but I have to say yes to Eric once a month so that he behaves the rest of the times. Now that you tell me Annie will be at Ed’s, I’m happy I’m already engaged”
Chelsea had chosen her best dress for the party, but still Annie wasn’t happy. Her hair was her everyday curly do and the make-up just not right! She, Annie, looked the opposite. Her golden dress was more suitable for the Academy Awards Ceremony and her make-up and hair made her look a good 3 years older. They placed themselves next to the cupid statue, posing like models trying to catch the men’s attention. At least, Annie was. Chelsea was just trying not to look too embarrassed.
Suddenly Annie turned pale “Oh my God, what’s he doing here?” “He who?” “Will Donovan!” “The guy of the car? Him? Where?” “Over there!” Chelsea turned to see him and when she did her heart jumped: it wasn’t like love at first sight, but she did have a passion for blue eyed, cute boys and that Will was the most perfect specimen she had ever seen. She stared at him for a while, so intensely she didn’t even notice he was staring at her as well “He’s gorgeous! Why did you have to steal such a gorgeous guy’s car?” But when she turned, Annie had disappeared. “Annie, Annie…” she thought “why can’t you never do something right?”
Will had spotted Annie in the very moment he entered the room. “Why is she here?” he asked Ron who was next to him “I don’t know, but she’s hot tonight. She and her friend next to her, what a babe.” He hadn’t noticed Chelsea before, too angry at Annie to notice anyone else in the room. But when he did he was stunned. It wasn’t like she was a classical beauty, her nose was huge, but she had something he couldn’t resist. Her perfect body, sure, but he immediately felt something, a connection, something he had never felt with any other girl. Suddenly Annie and the stolen car where miles away from his mind. “I have to talk to her.” “To Annie? She’s just run away.” “Not Annie. The other girl. That gorgeous brunette.” He walked toward her and as he approached her he could clearly see she was nervous “Hi!” he started “Hi! I know, it’s about Annie. I know, really, that’s a bad thing what she’d done, but, really, she’s no bad girl, she just has some, you know, behaving problem.”
“Stop, there’s no need to explain, not from you at least. You talk quite a lot, don’t you?” “Yeah, sorry about that.” “It’s ok, it’s kinda cute actually. Well, it’s clear you already know who I am, but still… I’m Will” She smiled and shook his hand “Will, the guy of the car. That’s how I’ve know you since a while” “Now you can’t drop the ‘the guy of the car’ part out. And you’re…?” “Chelsea. Chelsea Becker, I’m Annie’s best friend for no rational reason.” As much as Will was charmed by her, he still had his seduction techniques by his side “That’s foolish of her to hang around with you. I mean, who would waste a look on her when there’s you near?” “That’s a huge lie, but cute of you, thanks. Although I’m quite sure you’re just trying to get to sleep with me” He smiled “ You got me. Do I gave any chance of success?”

Will and Chelsea are a 'Super Couple' in my book. That whole idea of a romantic date before the wedding was awesome. I also liked seeing how the two first met. Again, I love the dialouge. I'm really looking forward to the wedding. :)
18th Oct 2006, 02:49 AM
There will be the second part of this episode before the wedding :) But I've got almost all the pics, just 1 or 2 missing, so it won't be long. Now I've got to take pics for my contests, I've delayed that too and now I'm in a hurry. But as soon as I'm over with the contest's pics, I'll be working on the story.
Thaks for your comment :)

They were waken up by the ring of the phone. As soon as she opened her eyes Chelsea noticed something strange: it was daylight, the sun shining thorough the window, and that was unusual since she usually woke up at 6 A.M. The other strange thing was Will lying next to her. She had never slept with a guy before, her previous sexual experiences (not many, she had to admit) usually started and ended in her date’s car. She had a few seconds to observe him before he opened his eyes: his mouth, his nose, the childish look he had while sleeping; he was definitely a guy she could fall in love with. He surprised her staring at him, his blue eyes still sleepy and his mind not quite ready yet. “Mmm t stp” he said “What?” “Make it stop” not quite the exact words, but understandable this time. “Oh, the phone, course!” She got up and reached for the phone, Will slowly started to get up too.
“Hallo?” her voice was raspy and sleepy, but the voice on the other side was high and pitchy “I can’t believe you’re home, have you got any idea about what hour it is?” “Hi, Annie…” hearing that name Will looked at her with a strange face, then he asked her with signs about breakfast. “Over there, look in the fridge…” “Chelsea? Hallo? Are you there? There’s someone with you, isn’t there? Who is he? Or it’s a her?”
“It’s a he, of course, you know I’m not lesbian.” “Maybe you just wanted a new experience? How could I know? By the way, who is he? Do I know him? Did you meet him at the party?” Annie was talking so loud that Will could hear her through the phone. He looked at Chelsea, shook his head smiling and went to the fridge, followed by her “Yes you do know him and yes I did meet him at the party.” “Oh my God, Willtheguyofthecar!” she made it sound like an only word. “It’s Will, just Will, and yes, it’s him.” “Chelsea! What were you thinking! You’re like … the Virgin Mary, he’s not your type!” “You were… virgin?” asked Will with a scaried look on his face “No, I wasn’t. Annie, it’s nice from you to worry about me, but you don’t need to. I’m mature enough to choose whom to sleep with!” “O-K! But still, it’s 10 o’ clock and you’re not at school, what do I have to tell the teachers?” “Well…”
Then Will took the phone from her hands “I can’t believe a car-stealer like you cannot find an excuse! Tell them she’s got a bad headache, ok? Or flu, or malaria, or Alzheimer! Just, make up something!” he finally hung up on her without leaving her time to reply. “So, Chelsea, what about me fixing our breakfast? A late one, but still breakfast.” She was speechless, so just nodded and sat at the table. “Malaria and Alzheimer aren’t much believable, are they? Your friend is so… you know I just can’t stand here! Hey? Are you mute? You weren’t last night, at all. I believed you would have killed me with all your talking. Sorry, didn’t mean to offend you.” “No, you didn’t. It’s just… strange, you know, for me, waking up with a guy, it’s so unusual… to me.” “Oh, yes, it’s an usual situation for me too.” Meanwhile he had finished preparing breakfast and was serving it. The smell of the strawberries was yummy. “Really?” “No, I’m actually quite used. Just thought it could help you. But it didn’t. Sooo… do you live here by yourself?” “Yeah, quite a long story. Anyway, this place is so small, I don’t think anyone else could fit here.” “It must be nice living on your own. I share a flat with my roommate, he’s such a bugger.. But as soon as I graduate, I’m getting my own place.”
They spent the whole day chatting. The connection they felt the night before was stronger then ever. They were crushing on each other but things weren’t very easy, as Will explained. “Chels, I have to tell you… I’m not a really good guy.” “Oh, really, pretty boy?” “No, seriously. I like you more than I ever liked anyone else before, but I’m just not boyfriend material. I’m inconstant, often a cheater and you don’t deserve something like this.” “How many times have you told this to a girl?” “Uncountable. But this is the only time I really think it. I think we could be great friends and maybe in the future, if we feel like it.. you know, maybe we’ll end up getting married!” they laughed, then Will got up form the couch they were sitting on. “I have to go, but I’ll call you soon.” “Yes, that what you always say. Let’s be friends, I’ll call you, and then you disappear.” “Trust me, ok? Give me a hug.” She did and then he left.
She sat for a minute on the couch, thinking about Will and if she was going to hear from him ever again, when suddenly the phone rang. “Hallo?” “Chelsea? Will speaking. D’you remember me, like, a minute ago?”
“You’re totally mad!” “Hey, I’ve told you I would call you soon, didn’t I?” “You did, but I didn’t imagine this soon.” “Well… you know, I just happen to be in front of your flat, do you mind if I come in?” “You’re so… ok, pretty boy, come in.”
Back to the present
“You immediately made it hard for me to leave you, you were so mad and freaky and adorable at the same time! Just as you’re now.” “You were gorgeous just as you’re now. And I was right after all, you know, about the marriage. Except I didn’t really believe it would happen.” “Neither did I. But I’m glad it’s happening. I love you, pretty boy.” “I love you too, baby girl.” It was time to get to sleep: they had decided to give something to tradition and sleep in different rooms, but sometimes, decisions are hard to put in practice.

14th Nov 2006, 10:04 PM
First of all, sorry for the unforgivable delay. I was and still am in kind of a writer's crisis. But, I've managed to write a chapter, that won't be the last one because I felt another one was needed. It's in italian, of course, but I'll translate it tonight or tomorrow, depands on many things. I'm supposed to wake up at 5.30 am. but I know I won't get any sleep at all, damn insomnia. Sooo, in the end, chapter 18 coming tonight or tomorrow :D
14th Nov 2006, 10:10 PM
I sooo understand. I'm still looking forward to the update and will keep checking. :D
I hope you're able to get some sleep. I hate early mornings, so I feel for you. :)

Finally it was the big day. They didn’t have many guests but the heaviest absence, the one that was more evident, was the groom’s father one. Obviously Will hadn’t send him an invitation, but, even if he would never have admitted it, Chelsea knew that, deep inside himself, his absence made him a bit upset. He really wished he had a normal family with a normal father he could invite to his wedding, but this wasn’t possible. That was a happy day anyways, since he had the opportunity to start his OWN normal family, if a family where the father’s a billionaire and the mother a film star can be called normal. Definitely he didn’t want his kids to hate him like he hated his own father and he wanted to do his best to deserve their love.
Even though he knew what Chelsea was going to wear, seeing her walking sown the aisle was highly emotional. He thought about how beautiful she was and how lucky he was to have her, but then realised that if she had told her she would have laughed. The ideal comment was another.
“Wow! Hey, babe, have you seen my fiancée? If she doesn’t come I could marry you, what do you think?”
She laughed, joined him under the wedding arch and said “She said she’s not coming, she doesn’t want to marry you because you’re a stupid guy. But if you want to marry me, I’m in, I love stupid guys.” “Then I’m your ideal man.” “Guys”, it was Dana “I’m sorry to interrupt this… romantic little scene, but there’s a wedding going on.” “Ok!” The ceremony went on normally until the wedding promises, which the bride and groom wanted to customize. Will started.
“Actually, I have written something… must have left it in the bedroom. Well, I’ll just say whatever comes into my mind. Chelsea… Chelsea. I know you like my jokes, my silliness, but now I have to be serious… I swear I’ll try. If someone had asked me ten years ago what I expected to do on the summer of my 28 years, marriage would have been the last thing I’d have said. Five years ago too, heck, if I have to be honest, even last year. But now many things are different. I have wanted you for a long time but I had no idea that being your partner would have been so fulfilling, so… when I’m with you I don’t need anything else. You know it, I’ve spent all my life thinking I wasn’t worth anything, just a spoilt boy like many others, without importance, but now I know that’s not true. I’m important to you and that makes me the most important people I know, except you, of course. Heck, how many times did I say important? See, I’m illiterate too, but I know you like me with all my faults too and that makes them less heavy for me. I love you, and this pretty much sums it all up. Sorry for the banal and cheesy speech.” “No, honey, it was great. That’s how you are like, one moment you’re telling dirty jokes about my breasts and the other moment you say things that leave me… breathless. I think I couldn’t stand a man who is telling jokes all the time, neither one who is always romantic… but that’s not a risk because he doesn’t exist. You are perfect the way you are. You’re the only one that can understand me, tolerate me when I get hysteric, in all these years you’ve always been here in a uninterested way… actually, in the last 10 months you were indeed interested, but luckily your interest is my interest. Anyway… what’s between us is hard to explain because it’s so deep, so inner, so in the end… I love you, and this pretty much sums it all up.”
They exchanged rings and finally they were man and wife.
The party was in the same garden the ceremony was, in their new house, and all the guests were having a lot of fun. Only Dana was alone, leaning against a tree. The general fun and her happiness for her brother didn’t prevent her from isolating in her thoughts. Suddenly, like he had come from her thoughts, leaning against the tree as well, Ethan spoke. “Nice ceremony, wasn’t it?”
“Yeah. In their style. The promises weren’t very traditional, but I have to admit I was almost moved.” “Almost? Girl, you need some serious romance lessons!” “Do I? And who’s the teacher? You?” “If you want me I’m here. I’m quite keen on the subject.” “Are you? How romantic is sleeping with a woman while you’re deceiving her for her father?” “Dana, I told you… I… I’m sorry, you know it.” “Yes I do. I almost got over it, but you know how I am, you should expect this jokes for… well, actually, for the rest of your life.” He smiled “So are you saying I’ll stay with you for the rest of my life?” “No, that’s not what I said.” “But if I’ll hear your jokes…” “Stop it, ok?” “Go for a date with me. Tonight, after the party. A meal, that’s the only thing I’m asking for.” “Dunno. I’ll think about it.” “Dana…” he got closer and caressed her cheek. “I told you I’ll think about it. Ask me again before you go. Now, put that hand down.” “Fine. But I’ll be back.”
Meanwhile Chelsea was talking to Lauren.“You know, I’m a bit worried about Will… he’s still quite upset about that thing with his father and… maybe I shouldn’t be telling you this, but… he found out Eric is dating Emma. I mean, his father is dating the mother of is baby… do you think I should talk him about this?” “Oh, honey, if I still know something about men, the only thing he’s thinking about now is how to take that dress off of you. Don’t worry, not now. And even later, let him talk about it whenever he feels like it. Eric Donovan is lightyears away from my life now, so tell me whatever you want, I have no sort of problems.” “Glad to hear that. But Will…” In that very moment Will came after having greeted all the guests. “Oh, look who’s here, my wife!”
“Oh, goodness, my husband!” “Nice one. Hey, what’s up, girl, you look strange.” “No, was just asking myself… what are you thinking?” “Now? I’m thinking about the faster way to take that dress off of you. And you?” “Nothing I could mention in front of Lauren.”
It came the moment when the couple left for honeymoon, but first they did the traditional bouquet throwing thing. With all the single girls at the wedding, Dana was the one who caught it, she hadn’t really tried at all. Was that destiny? She didn’t believe in that stuff, but she kept thinking about a date that night…
It was almost night, Will and Chelsea had gone since a lot of time, but Dana was still sitting on a bench in front of their house, playing around with the bouquet she had collected. “So, thought about it?” That was Ethan, of course.
“Yeah, I’ve thought about it. I’d like to say yes, but I want you to give me a valid reason first.” “Get up and come here” He went closer to her, slowly, until he was at a kiss distance. “Here’s my valid reason. D’you feel it?” “Yeah, I do… even if I don’t want to. I just can’t hate you, but loving you is dangerous.” “Is it something worth trying? If it is, go on a date with me tonight.” “Ok. Where are you taking me?”
16th Nov 2006, 07:43 AM
Noooo Nerina, don't stop I beg of you. They were just about to kiss :lovestruc. This story is becoming incredibly mushy and I am loving every bit of it :D
Update soon please, I'm such a romantic lol.
16th Nov 2006, 10:12 AM
I was NOT tearing up. I have a cold...really!
Wow! Incredible chapter. I just hope Lauren finds some one nice too.
Can't wait to see what happens next. :)
16th Nov 2006, 03:26 PM
Mushy? *looks it up in the dictionary - finds it* Yeah, I agree, I watch too many romantic comedies. BTW, thanks, I learned a new word to impress my english professor - he's half bald but has got beautiful eyes, plus you've gotta love a man with a british accent :D Glad you liked it, I won't make promises but I'll try to get the next (and final - really) chapter in soon :)
16th Nov 2006, 09:06 PM
Final??? *Cries even more* I was really loving this story too :(
You've handled the story very well, its just like been reading a young adult book which I have throughly enjoyed considering this is something that I would read in real life because of my age :)
17th Nov 2006, 03:14 PM
Yeah, that's my age too, think 21 is considered young adult, isn't it ?:D Even though I still feel like 12 sometimes. Anyways, I drew ispiration from different books, films, tv shows, trying not to copy any of them, so I guess I just write what I like to read and I'm glad you liked it too :)
8th Feb 2007, 10:28 AM
I don't know if anyone's still interested in this story, anyway, I started it and I'm going to end it. Once it's over, everyone can read it without waiting ages for updates. BTW, I've reread the previous parts and it's so strange, I'd write them completely differently. Who knows, maybe I will one day.
Why this? Because I'm actually udating, yes. A final chapter split in two parts, the first coming as soon as I'm finished posting it, the second tonight or tomorrow. Hope you like it, I do, strangely enough.

How much time had passed since Will’s last saw his father? Years. Ages. He couldn’t even remember it. He just avoided that house where everything seemed to be stuck to his childhood, bringing back memories he didn’t want to remember. His mother had died when he was eleven: after that, neither him or Dana had anything similar to parental love and the big, luxury house had turned into a cold, strict place. So, he just stood there on the front porch for a while, probably waiting for a miracle, a reason for him not to get in. But he know it was useless, and eventually he would have to step in and see Eric.
“Dad?”, Will turned around to see Henry staring at him.
“Uh, hi, I was just… you know, actually... how are you anyway?” “I’m fine, dad, but you do look funny. Not funny amusing, funny weird.” “Well, here’s the family secret disclosed to you. I am ‘funny weird’, every Donovan has a little quirk. You have it too, it will show up when you get older, trust me.” Henry smiled, his father had the peculiar ability to joke about everything every time, even if he was visibly shaken. “Coffee?” “I could murder one.”
“You’re not so thrilled about having to see him, are you?”, said Henry passing his father a cup of coffee and sitting next to him holding his own. “Is it so clear?” “Yeah. And I do understand you, definitely, but still, you have to see him. Considering the state he’s in, it might be your last meeting. Who knows, maybe he’s saving for you one of these moving father-to-son speeches.” “Ha. Sure. No, really, Henry, things aren’t so easy. I don’t think people change so drastically just because they’re old and ill and about to die, not in real life, at least. Eric would be Eric. I bet it’s about the company, like signing something so that I completely own it and he doesn’t have anything to do with it anymore. Not that it would change much, I mean, I’ve been managing it on my own these… what, ten, twelve years? It’ll be just a formal thing, trust me. The sign-here-and-goodbye kind of thing.” “Just give it a try, ok? You’re better than him. Be nice and polite and, please, no sarcasm. Just think about it: if you were about to die, you’d want me to be at your deathbed.” “Sure I would. But that’s because I love you, even though you’re an annoying, patronizing little brat. Eric and I don’t have the same relation you have with your old man.” Will got up, ruffled his son’s hair and started going upstairs. Henry stared at him for a while, a worried look on his face.
“William!” It was Emma calling him. She was wearing a fancy dress and was ready to hit one of those charity parties she’d been going to ever since she married Eric. The role of the rich man’s wife definitely suited her. “What’s up with you calling me with my full name? It’s Will, you know it.” “Whatever. Are you going to see him?” “Yes. Are you going to get drunk at a party and sleep with some stranger while your husband’s in bed and can’t move on his own legs anymore?” “It’s none of your business. He’s been taken care of, anyway, I can’t be here all the time.” “It would be nice if you’d be here at least some time, you know.” “And what are your sources? I haven’t seen you around here much these years.” It was Henry who told him, of course. “Secret sources. Now, we’d better be both going to our destinations, shouldn’t we?” He walked past her and reached his father’s bedroom. After the longest ten seconds in the world he slowly opened the door and got in. Eric was there, lying in his bed, his wheelchair next to him. ‘He’s sleeping,’ thought Will, ‘maybe I can go straight away. It’s not like I can wake him up.’
As he was leaving the bedroom a voice came from behind him “William.” ‘Crap,’ he thought. “Eric. I thought you were sleeping.” “With my glasses on? Come and help me on my chair.”
Eric Donovan was 86, but looked like he was a million years old. His illness had devastated him, but still he looked as tough and stern as ever. Before Will could come and help him he had already climbed on his wheelchair and was heading towards his study. Will followed him without saying a world.
“Sit there,” Eric ordered, and Will sat, while his father stopped himself at the desk. He then took out some papers from a file, traced some crosses on them and handed them over to Will.
“It’s about time you take full control of the company. I’m old and soon enough I’ll be gone. You’ve been doing a good job since now, I trust I’m giving my creatures in worthy hands.” “So this is why you wanted to see me?” “Yes, what else?” “Yeah, what else? Nothing.” “Do not use your sarcasm on me, William.” “What’s up with everybody calling me William? God, I hate it. Anyway, I’m not doing any sarcasm right now. I knew for a fact this was the reason why you wanted to see me.” “Then why did you ask?”
“Don’t know. It was Henry who gave me a strange idea.” “Henry’s a good boy. How’s little Charlie?” “As healthy and beautiful as ever.” “I’m glad. So what did Henry expect?” “Oh, just a crazy idea, really. He said you might want to have a father-to-son speech to me, but I’m glad you didn’t. It wouldn’t have made sense, would it?” “No, it wouldn’t.” Will quickly signed the papers and got up. “I should really be going. My girls are waiting for me.” He walked towards the door, a freedom sense growing step by step.
“William.” He turned around ‘Here we go again. God, will it ever end?’ he thought “Yes, Eric?” “Will you come visit me again?” Will couldn’t believe his ears. Did his father just ask him to visit him again? That wasn’t possible. Then he looked at him and for a moment, just a moment, he saw him without the mask of strength he was wearing all the time: he was a little, weak, ill old man, who genuinely wanted to see his son again. ‘If he asks me to call him dad now I don’t know if I’m gonna cry, laugh or run away screaming’. “Why, yes, maybe. I could come next. I’ll bring the girls along.” “Yes, do bring them. Thank you for your visit.” ‘What is that, a parallel reality sort of thing?’ “You’re welcome. Really. Bye Eric.” And he went out, half walking and half running. This was too surreal for him.
“Dad, did I tell you about that cute guy at school?” said Charlie, sitting close to Will on the couch. “I think so, yeah. So what?” “Well, you know, he’s asked me out! Me! Would you believe it?” “Why not? You’re the most beautiful girl ever, so I think it’s natural he’s got a liking on you.” “So I can go out with him?” “Oh no, never said this. Did I, Chels? ” “Indeed you didn’t, honey.” “Great. Now go upstairs, your mum and I need some privacy,” said Will, putting an arm around his wife’s shoulders. Charlie got up and smiled at him. “Fine. We’ll talk about it later.” “I don’t think so, sweetheart.” “I do.” The 14-year-old girl gave her parents a smile and walked upstairs.
“I don’t get it, why isn’t she mad at me?” said Will when she was gone. “Oh, she was so worried about you, and she absolutely adores you, so she can’t be angry at you right now. But give her time and you’ll see her teenage rebellion will come back.” “I hope so. She’s fun.” “Yeah. How are you feeling, pretty boy?” “Ok, I guess. It’s just… my father’s been weird. First he was all business and serious stuff, then he was like, ‘Oh, come back, bring the girls.’ Weird. It almost made me feel bad for being so cold to him.” “Don’t feel bad, really, don’t. When are we going to visit him?” “I was thinking maybe Sunday, how does it sound?” “Nice. Sunday will do. Now, I was thinking about having a bath. Want to join me?”
They didn’t go visit Eric that Sunday. They all went to his funeral instead. He had passed away the following day.
As I'm sure you've understood, this is set some 15 years after the 18th chapter. Yes, they do look still the same age, but you know, 40 is the new 30, liftings, life's getting longer... this to say, I don't have the hearth to make my sims look old, I love them too much :P
8th Feb 2007, 02:58 PM
I certainly didn't forget this story. I think about it alot.
I got tears in my eyes during the father and son reunion. I actually felt bad for Eric. I loved how everything turned out with William (er..Will LOL!) and Chelsea. Looking forward to the second half!
P.S. I love these characters so much. :)
8th Feb 2007, 03:16 PM
Glad you liked it, I like it a lot too. It just came out like this, without any effort, and this is strange because lately I've been having so much problems writing something decent. Mabe exam tension, might be... I tend to be freaking nervous before exams. I'll defintely have the other part soon, a matter of a day or two at most, right now I'm transllating this part to Italian, since I'm publishing this on an Italian forum too.
And I've got to catch up with your story too!
8th Feb 2007, 05:30 PM
Thanks for the compliments and for the suggestion, might try it out. I've been a bit uncertain about that, I thought the alternative was something like:
JOE: Hi, Jim, how are you?
JIM: I'm fine, how about you?
And I don't really like this, but your alternative seems good. I'll definetely try it out, I've got another half chapter to do, I think I'll do it tonight. And I'm already planning another story, not on here, but I think I'll make a thread and link to it.

After Eric's funeral they all gathered up at Will and Chelsea's. They weren't telling each other anecdotes about the just passed patriarch, even because if they did, there would hardly be any positive one: Eric Donovan wasn't by all means a very nice man. They were sitting there at the dining room table, talking random unimportant stuff with a tone of indefference: the air was heavy around them.
Dana seemed to be the one of the Donovan's siblings to take their father's death better: she hadn't talked to him in years and her hatred helped her into an air of polite indifference, but Ethan knew she was just faking it. Him and Dana had been 'happily unmarried' for enough time for him to understand his woman almost perfectly, even though she could always come up with some weirdness at times. Will, on the other hand, was taking the event so bad that it didn't take his soul mate to understand his mood: everyone could see the man was totally upset, any stranger that had looked into his tired face could.
They were talking about some guy at a TV programme when Will suddenly got up of his chair. Everybody looked at him.
"Want something to drink, anybody? I think I'll have a beer or something."
"I want one too," said Henry. His mother left him with Will while she had just gone in a 'much needed' vacation at the Carribeans with her 25-year-old personal trainer.
"I think he meant people older than 16, sweetie," said Chelsea, looking at her husband, a worried look on her face. She knew it wasn't about the beer, her needed to be alone for a while. Will smiled and left the room. Once in the kitchen, he layed against the wall, his eyes closed, his mind full of confused thoughts.
He couldn't stay alone long, tough, for after a short time Dana reached him.
Then she sat on the sofa and for a while they didn't speak a word. They didn't need to.
"What's the best memory you have about Eric?" Dana asked, finally.
"Wow, best memory? I can hardly find a good one! Well... maybe that time... do you remember, when I was 16 and played guitar, wanting to be a rockstar or something?"
"Oh, yes, I do. You weren't much talented, I'm afraid."
"Yes. That's what he told me when he stopped paying for my lessons." said Will.
"And this is a good memory?" asked Dana
"Actually, yes," replied her brother, "because when I asked him the reason why he did, he said, 'You've got talent, boy. Not musical talent, but you've got a good deal of that anyway. Go and find your way, stop wasting your time in that.' I hated him then, but as I got older I've thought it over and realized that was the only time he showed some appreciation for me. Then, and the last time I saw him." He gazed in front of him without looking at nothing particular, bit his lip and then asked:
"How are you, Dana?"
Dana was a bit surprised by the question. "I'm OK."
"Yes, I am."
"Please, I'm your older brother, I know you."
"Well, maybe... yeah, I guess I feel a little... you know, I've alway hated him, but somehow it feels wrong now."
Will sighed. "Yeah. I feel the same." In that moment Chelsea and Ethan entered the room.
"Hey," Ethan said. "you guys alright?". Dana got up and went near him. She was feeling a bit relieved now that she had shared her feelings with the very person who would understand them the better. "We're all right. Let's go and reach the other, now, shouldn't we?" She and Ethan left the kitchen, leaving Will and Chelsea on their own.
"Are you really ok, love?" asked Ethan.
"Not completely, but it will pass. I'm sure it will."
"I am sure, too. You've always been a strong girl." Then they went back into the dining room.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Will was finally taking his beer. Chelsea was just looking at him, not asking him anything. She didn't need to ask or tell anything, it was all worthless. She knew no words of hers would have helped her husband. After a while, she walked towards him.
"Will," she said. He looked at her, his eyes lost, maybe because of the beer or maybe not. "Will," she repeated, with a sweet note in her voice. She reached for the beer he was holding, took it and put it on the counter. Then she took his hands into hers and stared deeply in his eyes. Finally, he said:
"I think I miss him. Damn, I hadn't visited him in ages but I miss him now. I keep thinking if only I had just tryed harder, maybe we could have..."
"Oh, no, pretty boy, don't. Don't let this kind of thoughts torture you. It's useless. He liked you and trusted you, he left the company in your hands so he must have trusted you. You behaved as anybody with self esteem would have behaved, so don't blame yourself. You're a wonderful person, Will, you've got this family that loves you. I love you."
He managed to give her a little smile "And that's the only thing that matters." They stayed in the kitchen alone for a time that seemed endless, just holding each other, then they reached their guests in the dining room, will visibly relieved.

Ok, now it's really over. Sorry it's a bit rushed and inspiration-less (does this word exist? Or let's say I invented it :p), but the two months limits for updating a story was expiring. I actually had the pics taken ages ago, pre-Seasons actually, but no inspiration whatsoever. Well, I hope it doesn't suck too much and you've enjoyed my story :)
8th Apr 2007, 12:27 PM
I'm really glad this story ends with the two couples in happy strong relationships. (Will and Chelsea definately have my vote as the most romantic couple.)
*sigh* I'm sorry to see the end, yet you ended it at the right place.
8th Apr 2007, 01:14 PM
I've really enjoyed this story. I haven't posted much through it but I've been keeping up with it. I liked the ending, satisfying. It's nice to know what happens in the end. Well done. :)
9th Apr 2007, 10:39 AM
Thank you :) I'm glad you liked it, it means a lot to me.
