I have just cloned the activity table in free time. It works good, but can't seem to recolor. What is wrong with it and how do I fix it?

There is no MMAT - Material Override. There is a tutorial by Ignorant Bliss on how to add subsets and make it recolorable, it explains how to add those as well.

Yes, I noticed that. In reading the tutorial, she states to edit the Geometric Node - "Open the Geometric Node and, on the pulldown list for the Blocklist, select the line called "tsDesignModeEnabled"
There is no "tsDesignModeEnabled" there is "tsDesignModesubsetslave" which is also in the original mesh...what do I do now? or is the object not recolorable? From looking at the original maxis file, it appears that it is a slave, but where does it get it's textures from? Please help?

When there isn't a tsDesignModeEnabled you need to add one. The tsDesignModesubsetslave seems to be a newer addition to packages, and I have seen it many times. I have no idea the reason it is being done, since you still can't have more than two recolorable subsets.
So what I did in your package was rename the tsDesignModesubsetslave to tsDesignModeEnabled (must have at least that to be recolorable).
Then I extracted an MMAT from a similar package, I do this because there are many properties inside and by extracting something similar there will be less items to delete/change. And I honestly don't know what *all* of them mean yet. I imported the MMAT into your package. Then I edited the properties within the MMAT.
modelName is your full CRES name
name is the same as the TXMT just without the TXMT on it
subsetName must be the same name as your subset
objectGUID must be the same as your main GUID in your OBJD - this is what the little checkbox in the OBJD updates
Open the Hash Generator / Click the GUID radio button / copy the GUID into the family (dString) - This must be unique for each MMAT in your package
Did a Fix Integrity and saved. If you have a second subset you would like to make recolorable then clone the existing MMAT(right+click/clone), change the Instance number to one higher (5001), get another unique GUID for the family, and change the subsetName.

Thank you! I saved a copty of this message so that I can do this again (but I'm going to try not too). I was about ready to throw the object out because I don't really know how to do a lot of these things. So again, thank you! You're a life saver!

If you get totally stuck with the tutorial then you're welcome to clone one of mine - quite a few of the newer nursery sets have activity tables which are all recolourable although there are probably some variations on how the pencils and blocks are setup subset-wise.
