Where can I find "local tomb?"

I've been playing the China vacation spot for some days and I still cannot do one of the early simple adventures..."a local tomb holds a treasure..."

Every other adventure gives you a spot on the map to search, but as many times as I've tried this adventure, no clue shows up on the map. And, what is a "local tomb?" Every other adventure has the specific name of a place. And I can't find any place with "tomb" in the name. I know I'm missing something really obvious but I can't figure it out!!

Has anyone solved this adventure? If so, please give me a hint!!! :anime:

have you tryed getting the adventure...when it doesn't show up on the map...try going home and coming back??

Can it be a tomb under someone's house? So all the info you need is right there on the adventure. Or it's a 'local tomb', your sim is standing on the correct lot?

the only time i have seen the term "local tomb" is (i admit i have only done egypt and a few small ones in france) the first adventure i picked in egypt it said local tomb and it ended up being right at the place you arrive at(can't remember the name)..the camp ground thing....

Last time I used a local tomb it was the one connected to the campsite, the base camp. There may be some steps down into a tomb that you can access from within base camp

base camp...yes thats the word i could not think of....lol

:lol: Of course it would be that "obvious!!" I'm off to search the base camp!

And yes, I've gone home and returned to China several times with no change in clues or anything. But I'm betting it is in the base camp!

Is it the adventure where you are supposed to get a relic from a "local tomb"? If it is, then it isn't a specific tomb you should look for, but any tomb where you can find a relic. Once you have a relic, turn it in the the one who requested it and you should succeed the quest.

Yes, that's it...but I haven't really been able to find a "tomb" that's given me any relics. And I couldn't find anything in the base camp either.

Hmmm,that's quite odd... Have you tried the forbidden city? There should be a relic in that one, and if all else fails, try buying one from the relic shop (I have only tried this for adventures that require metals or gems, but I'm quite sure it works with relics as well...).

If this is the one I think it is (it has been a while) there is a building right in the town square that has a fence streched across the width of the interior. There is a switch on the floor that you step on to get into the tomb below...I remember it was a really short mission...I think that is it, but I'm not sure.
I think it was the hall of the lost army. Try that.

I just tested this out with one of my sims that hadn't been to china, and it is the hall of the lost army. It's right in the town square.

A relic is any of the "ancient" items (other than coins) that you typically find while exploring. Pieces of of broken pottery, vases, etc. If I remember correctly, I believe I completed this adventure with just some broken pottery.
