How long have you played just one family in the Sims 2?

I played one family, My Legacy one, the Rides, for one hole day. (Lets just say that Coffee really DOES work... And if you mix it with soda, and sugar'd tea your going to be bouncing off the walls!) Rofl.

At once..a few hours..overall..I'd say..a few days to a few weeks..depends. Sometimes the sims are just so annoying I'd have to kill them off. Or, I get bored of them and move on. :P

Well, because coffee works indeed, especially when you have some days off, the longest time I have been playing a single family was two days in a row.
But if you meant for how long we have been playing the same family over the years I will say 1 and half year -- because I have many families in my hood and it takes a LOT of time to play them all.

Difficult to say, but if I really enjoy playing a sim then I would say possibly 24 hours in two 12 hour game sessions. I usually play many sims as I create my own custom megahood with over a hundred playable sims.

I've gone for something like 15 generations with one family. I think it took a couple of weeks.

Usually I get bored and end up deleting custom hoods and starting fresh within a generation, and resetting the Maxis hoods to the way they were at the beginning.

But lately I've been forcing myself to stick to it, and I'm working on starting Gen 4 in Pleasantview. Since I'm in uni, and I only get to play for a few hours max at a time, a couple times a week, it's been a number of months that I've been working on it. *giggle* Gen 4 has four kids (two children, two infants) - I'm so proud of myself!

Realtime or sim time? Last night I played with the Olivers for two hours -- their puppies grew up, they adopted a kid, and they got both kids into private school (and then smustled in celebration after the headmaster left). I'm trying to get Gabriel abducted by aliens to fulfill his 'Have a Baby' want ;) but the downloadable abductor telescope seems to be incompatible with my expansions.

As far as generations are concerned, I have multiple families whose original kids have grown up and had kids, but none of them are elders yet, and the third generation hasn't grown up. I have too many families. :)
