Is it possible to scan save game files with S3PI? I would like to create an app that simply displays all sims names and location in the neighborhood.

It sounds like you want Tiger's neighbourhood viewer.

That's a point.

The 'hood format isn't the same as the package format, as far as I know, so it isn't supported by s3pi -- and hence not by the tools here, I'm afraid.
