I've got a nice little roof issue that I am at a loss of how to fix. I'm trying to add gables to a roof and I am getting gaps and cut aways either in the main roof or the gable roof.

I've looked through the tutorials, tried adjusting the roof slope, putting in a hipped roof, shortening the roof (and using a shed roof for the porch), all with no success.

I can lower the roof slope only so much as there are rooms in the 'attic' and I need to gables to break up the roof.

Short of ending the gable roof just shy of the main roof, I'm at a complete loss.

Any suggestions?

This happens sometimes. You can fix it by changing the slope of *just* the gables, or *just* the main roof. A very tiny amount should be enough, I'm only seeing those gaps when both roofs have the exact same slope – when the slopes are a little bit different, the gap goes away.

Sometimes making the little roofs in more than one parts helps. Sometimes.

Thanks, it worked. Now to turn it into more than an empty shell.

I'm going to move this to Build Mode, so that others who have the same issue can find it. Feedback is actually the wrong place for technical problems =).

Thanks, it saved me from having to delete it. I was going to use it for feedback once I got a little further on in the project... unfortunately, my desktop decided to go *poof*, so all building has come to an abrupt screeching halt.

P.S.

If this posts twice, please delete the duplicate and blame it on my dinosaur laptop.

I hit the roofs with the hammer when they do that and then do an undo, that usually sorts it for me.
