bloodshot zombie eyes, help!

I've been working on this eye project for a while and id like some feedback on how to make them better. Please help, i really want to get these posted :help:

Yeah, thats what i thought too, but i got rejected twice so id really like to improve them even more.

I think what will make them look really creepy is to add a very small pupil. See what that looks like :)

I honestly think a pupil would ruin the look, but we can give it a try.

with the way the different shades are blending together, it makes the eye look like it's sharpening to a point right nest to the top eyelid. It's a bit blocky on smoothing. You want to make it smooth and even and have the most white where the iris would be.

Ok i tried the pupil but it just didnt look like it went and wasnt really the look i was going for, thanks for the suggestion though.

Were you given a reason for the rejections? If you were, it would be helpful to know what it was. :)

Perhaps you should add a stronger highlight in the middle and more shading before the rim of the eye and in the creases of the eye.

The shading around the rim and the crease may add to you, slar has a point, but I wouldn't add a highlight. Zombies are half dead, which means so would their eyes, which means they wouldn't produce tears, meaning they wouldn't be as shiny as normal eyes. I have seen dead eyes before and they all have a dull appearance.

Ok, I took everyones advice and edited them a bit, I'll take a closer picture too, but for now what do you think? :)
