Has anyone come across this glitch? I tenderly beautified the Bayless beauties using twallins fabulous supercomputer. Ma Bayless came out looking exceptionally attractive but I got side tracked and went into other households. When I finally came back to play the the Bayless clan even though their house showed as occupied in Edit Town - after I clicked select, all task bar info dropped away and I was left just looking at the landscape. I know they are in there but I can't get too them. I was just wondering if anyone else experienced a similar problem? Why did it have to be Skeet and his family?

Did you click the check mark to play them and nothing happened?

This sounds familiar. Happend to me with the Smith-Jones or whatever they are called. Turns out one member of the family was bugged, and the household worked again after I moved that Sim out and deleted him (after some trial and error).
I don't know if there is a way to save the bugged Sim, though. Maybe using Twallans Debugger or something?

Yes I did and instead of loading it went immediately into a view of the town around their house with all the tool bars and family pics missing.

Something similar happened to me on my legacy family.I just quit and restarted the game and it started working.

Beechwell2 - How did you go about finding the buggy sim? Twaillan's got a Debugger? Did that help?
HarlequinnRomance - I did that and it didn't help, I even evicted them and moved them back in which didn't help either.

Sorry, I mean Twallan's Debug Enabler (http://ts3.tscexchange.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=b6c92e795c9aeff398da9523ff7cc35e&topic=3857.0) that allows access to advanced EA debugging options in the game. I haven't used it, though; so no idea if it would help.

What I did was to move half the family to a different lot, and check which part of the family still wouldn't load. Then I repeated the process with that household until only one Sim remained in the household that wouldn't load. I then deleted that Sim. And yes, I had to restart the game several times for that :p

What you could also try is to move only one family member to a different household (hoping it is not the bugged one), and then use that Sim to invite all other Bayless to the new household. Maybe that might remove the problem, but this is just guessing.

BeechWell2 - Thanks very much for your help. I really appreciate it. As you know it gets so frustrating and you get bogged down in this glitch for hours instead of just playing the game. I'll give it a go and see what happens.

HarlequinnRomance - Thanks for your help and I hope you get that town glitch fixed - ahhh same problem with that too!

I must say playing lots of different families in TwinBrooks made me really frustration resistant. Somehow families you don't play for some time tend to attract all sorts of weird glitches. To weed them all out requires a lot of patience and a high frustration threshold from me. :p

BeechWell2 - Maybe that's why they made them such an extensive town of uglies. When frustration peaks mercy killings of certain families is just that bit easier ...lol. No I love them all and agree it's a definite game of trial and error and patience.

Perhaps the wind caught their ears and they all blew away.

Sorry. Not helpful, but it just had to be said. I can spot a Bayless from a block away.

Is this a problem with Ambitions or with modifying a family using SuperComputer? I ran into a similar issue with the Goth family in a custom world after I modified them using Twallan's Supercomputer. I was amping up their skill levels and adding two additional teenagers. After I went into Edit Town mode I lost the family--could not click on them in much the manner you are describing. This was a few months ago--way after WA but well before Ambitions was even announced.

Maybe you're right. I'm new to this mod so I got a little carried away. Maybe it is bad to cheat! The only thing is that I modified some other families, before the Bayless clan, with this mod and there are no problems - so far. Does it mean they will disappear too? Thank you for your help.

AwesomeMod has a "fixall" command that I use regularly, as there are a ton of bugs in Ambitions and that command slows down the destruction. I find that switching families in Sims 3 is just problematic period, not matter what hacks you are using.
