I started this last night. I'm not sure if I'm going to leave it as is or not - if I do add to it, I don't think I want to do too much more with it.

Positive feedback would be lovely but any constructive criticism is more than welcome :)

As a comparison, this is me when I had a bit more a bit more hair than I do now. Apologies for the picture quality - my scanner has thrown a tantrum so I had to use my digital camera.

You have the loveliest features and are so beautiful, but I don't see that you drew them in. I think you do what I do, which is draw my features down. I have bad self esteem and I believe that is why.

Try to let the inner light shine through. :)

I love the detail around the eyes. See how they stand out and shine? Try bringing that element into the rest of the picture.

Great job!

Thank you. Fragglerocks - I think you're probably right on some level. I'm also a bit worried about ruining it -it's a long time since I've picked up a pencil (I've got a neurological disease that affects my hands among other things, and a tablet is much more forgiving than paper when I make a mistake!) and I've never been very good at light and shading anyway.
