Is there a maximum number of chefs per lot? Is it limited to only 1 chef? I'm interested in making both community and OFB home restaurant lots with more than one chef per one lot. Can this be done? Thanks and many fun sim times!

Have you tried adding multiple stoves?

Have you tried adding multiple stoves?

I will be testing that today and will use "changeLotZoning community" (or residential) to see if it works. I have a lot with both the chef's stove (from OFB) and the island-themed food stand (from BV).

I'm hoping that as a community lot both stoves/ranges will be automatically populated by some random NPC's.

As a residential lot it'll take me more work as I'll need to try recruiting a chef for each one individually by clicking on each object or asking a townie to work as chef.

It'd be Much easier if anybody here has already tried this outand can say whether or not either way will work.

Please let us know how your testing goes, so that we'll be more likely to be able to help the next person with this question.

OK, I've tested one lot as both community and hotel zoning with a food stand (BV) and a chef's range (OFB). Both of those were automatically populated when a sim visited. The food stand was populated by a generic NPC called "Local Chef" while a named chef went to the range along with a waiter and host(ess) for the podium. Neither can be interacted with as they cook 24x7 without sleeping, bathroom, etc.

I originally built the lot as residential then used the "changeLotZoning parameter" entry in the console to change it after it was built. The lot was swarmed by townies and makes my awesome pyooter lagged terribly with all the animations.

Also, the Ug-No-More makeover beauty chair was automatically populated by a townie as a community lot but remained unpopulated as a hotel. The massage table was populated on both lot types by a townie.

While playing I found some interesting lot design restrictions from experimenting around. First, visiting townies flock to whatever fun object is placed closest to the sidewalk to the left of the mailbox while disregarding any other objects unless the object's fun factor was higher. Second, the higher you build and place objects, the less likely a visiting townie will use them. Third, hotel doors do not function properly on a diagonal wall. You cannot knock on doors and townies have problems navigating around anything placed diagonally.

The range was constantly visited and ate at by visiting townies/hotel guests but the food stand was Never ate at once by any visiting townies/guests.

I will be adding a second range and will test it as a home business/residential lot next.
