(I hope I posted in the right section...)
Hello Everyone!
I've already played the Sims 2 Deluxe on my computer but I then decided to uninstall it because I had bought The Sims 3. I had many expansion packs and uninstalled them too, and the computer seemed clear. I don't know if it matters, but this The Sims 3 messed up my computer (probably a virus, I bought it off eBay -.-).
I later was able to completely delete The Sims 3 and the virus so everything seemed back to normal but when I tried to install The Sims 2 again and all the expansions, and I tried to run the game, I kept getting errors like : "You're running the wrong disk, please insert Teen Style (for example) instead." So I did and the error kept saying I had the wrong disk. Then I uninstalled all the expansion packs leaving only The Sims 2 Deluxe and when I tried to run this one the error came up again saying: You're running the wrong disk please insert *a strange simbol appeared here like "(E"*instead. So I got really mad and uninstalled that one too. After some time I wanted to try again, but no success. I also lost the installation code (like I didn't have enough problems) but my friend gave me hers and it worked, it looked like it was going to install but when it was almost finished this error came up:
"a problem occured when trying to transfer the file 'C:\Program Files\ EA GAMES\ The sims 2 Deluxe\ Base\ TSData\ Res\ UserData\ Neighborhoods\ N003\ N003_Neighbrhood.reia' from the media."
I thought I deleted all of the files from the previous The Sims 2 because when I look for them in the computer I don't find them anywhere, but I just don't know what to do...I really loved this game and I want to play it again! :( Is the Cd corrupted or is it the computer? Is there anything I can do? I would really appreciate if someone could help me, please?
