Just wondering: can you have more than one installation of the game on your computer like you could with sims1? I'd love to create new games with just certain cc, and new characters too, along with new hoods, and some of the cc will not fit into one installation, but might in another: example would be version a with all cc, version b might be just an alien or midevil version, and the third might be a modern version. Is this possible? If it is, would it be as simple as just having 3 directories for the documents folder, and the one you are running at the time would of course have to have the correct name for the game to recognize it, and the other 2 folders named a little differently to help you know what they were, and of course, when you got ready to change games, renaming the folders. I had several installations of sims1 running on my older computer, and the helped tremedously with load time, cc ceiling limits, etc. Can this be done with sims 2? :call:

Yes. This is exactly what I do to play (and keep separate) various neighborhoods with different cc requirements. Just to be clear, the folder I am renaming is Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 (The Sims 2_megahood, The Sims 2_ISBI, etc.).

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've been dying to do it, but afraid to try, since sims 2 is just a little bit differently set up, as I've come to discover. Thank you!

funcioná!!!

Fuciona,
Thanks for the tip! I've spent the weekend reading up on this, and may just have to give it a try. Thanks for the heads up about the AGS! It sounds like it could be what I am looking for!
