View Full Version : Am I the only one having this problem, or is it just mods effecting it?

My sims won't do ANY social interactions with each other. At first, it only shows Friendly-Pillow Fight or Give Gift, Romance-Give Gift and nothing under Mean. I clicked one, and they moved together to do it, then the sims suddenly just respawned on other sides of the lot! I also don't have the nurturing trait showing up.

I have a same-sex pregnancy mod, a teen woo+pregnancy mod, an instant skill gainer mod (in the form of a book), the Dexter the Bear. I DO NOT have Awesomemod or Twallan. I also have various custom clothing, houses and objects I downloaded from this site.

Is anybody else having this, or is it just one of those mods having some issues?

I don't have Generations so I can't say for sure, but I think it is probably one of your mods. Try taking them out and test the game.

It's almost certainly the mods--especially the hacks that may impact sim interactions--you should take those out until the creator says those mods are updated for the new game and patch

Okay, I deleted every single mod and it didn't work. Then I deleted every custom content, every single saved sim and saved game. Not everytime I try to start it up, it's telling me I don't have it installed, but won't let me install. :wtf:

Agreeing with Taizhu here. I heard someone say on the forums that things like CAS objects would be fine, and likely buy and build mode objects, but NOT mods. You'll have to uninstall them and wait for the creators to make them compatible with Generations.

The way to check if your mods from here have been updated is to go into the mods section for TS3, click filter, sort by update and this will show anything that has been recently updated

Also, did you delete your caches after deleting the mods?

Have you tried changing the active family? After installing the EP, two married sims from my legacy couldn't interact with each other, but they came back to normal after doing that. You could try resetting them as well.

May I ask what mods those are and where you get them from?

Dexter the Bear seems old, very old. Although it should be a stand-alone object and its scripts not overriding any other object, I advise you either to make sure it is up to date or get rid of it because I think the creator is long gone, correct me if I am wrong.

I highly highly recommend you (and only recommend) that you get Twallan's version of those mods. I believe Woohooer does handle teen woohoo and pregnancy. And instant skill gain can be handled with Master Controller. No, I am not getting a penny for advertising for Twallan (and he is not getting any penny for making mods either) but you have to understand as TS3 updates, your CC have to follow. What worked perfectly 2 years ago can be your biggest nightmare today. And so far as I know, Twallan updates his mods very fast to be compatible with what EA has out there. He has a wide range of mods, so you don't have to worry about conflicts between his mods (unless otherwise noted, that you shouldn't use certain 2 mods together).

Discussion - Sims 3 Game Problem
Remember, as the message said that displayed before you posted your thread...

If you're having any problem, issue, error, or glitch with your game, that's a job for MTS's Help section. There's both articles with common issues as well as Q&A support forums where you can ask questions and get specific help.

Game Help:Sims 3 Game Problem

Try that first - every step, in order, and don't skip anything! Even if it doesn't say your specific problem, try it anyway, as it's a good starting point to rule out the most common causes of game issues.

If you still have trouble, you can post a new thread in the Help Q&A forums. There's a link to the Help Q&A forums at the top of every FAQ in the Help section. If you do post there, make sure to read and follow the directions that will display before you post there!

Good luck, and happy simming! :)
