Hello :),

I created a new car texture and I noticed that the lights from the EA vehicle I used as a base aren't as bright as they were with my creation. I know it is because I replaced the original light texture for this vehicle with a car light texture of my own. The lights on my car work but again they have dimmed some compared to the original. Is there a way to up the value(s) on the lights glow so that I can make them brighter? If so, where would I go to do that? I'm using TSRW for this project.

Well, I haven't tried this, so don't shoot me if it doesn't work :p . But what about the Intensity value under Misc -> Lights -> Light x -> ...?

Did you update the specular texture?(Do that first, if you haven't done it)
In the meshtab you find the group for the lights, it has 2 material definations.
One for lights off and one for lights on, if you click the material of that group, the light texture on the car should brighten up in TSRW.
the 2nd one is usually the one for lights on, you can change some settings in there(specular style/reflections etc)
After you have updated the specular, play with the settings till your satisfied with the results

Okay, I'll give it a shot guys. I'm going in...:jest:

Update: I'm back. Seems I need a bit more info to know where to go to make the adjustments.:) I had completed a specular earlier so I'm going to try adjusting the lights but you mentioned two material definitions. This might be a "duh" moment but is the area where the diffuse, normal, and specular map are located what you are referring to? I sent a screenshot of the area I went into with TSRW for review.:)

Whiterider I didn't see a Misc tab for the lights to adjust intensity values (???).

yes, you are at the correct tab but open the extra's on the group 1 of the lights with the +sign.
There you find the 2 material settings used.(on/off)

You can not adjust the intensity values as cars dont use those.(sims 2 did tho)

I don't think I've done it right. I went into the +Extra tab and saw the two material definitions. The bottom material definition when clicked removes the lights from the vehicle and the upper material...well, it didn't seem to do anything except open another menu showing the diffuse, normalmap and the like. I saw 'Shininess' in this tab and thought if I up the anty on it it would intensify the glow but when I checked it out in-game I didn't see a difference. What am I doing wrong? :)
