Hello,
This is my second time using a Penthouse building, because the first one I was not able to build a basement. I used the buydebug cheat to make an empty penthouse and I was able to make the basement.
Here are screenshots so you can see what I am talking about. I tried to make the lobby as closely as the first building I was working on.

Problems:
1. The sims will not walk through the "main" door. (not the building door, that's fine I think)
2. When in Live mode, the game will not let me change the light settings for the lights outside of the building (the ones in the floor that I put there)
3. I tried to remove the "main" walls to see if my sim was able to open the doors in the other side of the lobby... Even though there we no walls / doors in the "main" wall, the sim would not go through the other door... its like a loop, no matter how many walls I bring down the sims will not be able to open the door of the next wall -.-
PLEASE help me... I do not want any fixes that involve deleting / remaking my building because I spent a good amount of time working on it.

There is 1 "make public room" orb in the main lobby, 1 in the basement lobby, 1 in floor 21 lobby and 1 in floor 22 lobby. They all work perfectly fine.
