Adding Objects to Package?

Is there a way to add more objects to a package? Specifically, for counters, you have the base counter, counter top, and corner piece. In addition to these, I would like to add a left and right end-cap to each .package file. How would I go about this?

I'm not sure it's possible to add to modular item yet, you may just have to make them separate items that add on.

Islands have special east and west end pieces. Perhaps you could clone the island instead, but shape the pieces like wall counters so they can be used against the wall.

Once I figure all this mundane stuff out, I should be able to crank out some nice sets for sims 3 :)
