Front door and fron of lot

Hey there,
Being an avid builder i usually try to better existing lots in my world, so i was wondering about these two settings.

The front of lot seem to not work always and i often find that they're have been unset after awhile and going to the building.

Also the set front door option, it seems to work but it rarely shows up, in big houses for example i'm always invited inside to the garage instead of the supposed front door and can't set the correct one.
So what requiriments would there be for it?
Also, has anyone experimented the front door with apartment buildings?

I've noticed that front door setting has gotten kinda wonky as well. In the game, I can't seem to get the option to pop up for homes unless I currently am playing the Sim that lives there. No problem with it in CAW's EIG, though. Also, in EIG, I've noticed that I get the option to set front doors for community lots, which is VERY handy. Maybe that's been there the whole time and I've just never noticed. Dunno. :P I've had one apartment that I've set the front door on, and so far it has stayed.

Front of the lot... it seems to work and do something. You almost have to have a roadless lot or corner lot to see it in action. Sims appear to always arrive to the front of the lot for me, but don't always exit from it. [That might have to do with having a planned route to the next location.]

As for those getting unset, I'm not sure. I could probably agree, but I've been moving lots back and forth between the game and EIG so much lately, I can't really positively confirm.

I've wanted to try CAW but can't get it to work on my setup.

Yeah now i've seen about this mod, it seems setting front doors is only available for owned lots, even if you're using the "buy here" cheat, this mod i found takes away that restriction.
The front of lot thing i've noticed on the fire department in my game in twinbrook, i set it to one side but sims always arrive going to the back, its just annoying really.

EIG = Edit in Game. It's a function of CAW that takes you to a limited building version of the game, so you can build lots. Sorry for not being clearer, I'm such a CAW junkie, I assume everyone else is too!

Oh yeah, i'm always editing my world in game. Its usually no good to edit EA default worlds, but lately i'm getting the hang of better placing lots and its getting a lot better.
