Why won't my dogs go and fool around?

And yes, I mean mate. They're best friends already (one male, one female), but they won't mate. All my other pets have, but they won't. I have a doghouse (three, actually, since I tried one of each to try and get them to.) The 'Romantic' thing doesn't even show up. I don't think he's gay, especially since I checked MC and they don't lean either way with preferences. Are they glitched, or just too innocent? (My household isn't full- well in a way, but MC disables that, and everyone else can have foals / puppies / kittens.)

How many pets are in that specific household? The max number of pets is 6 in one household (I have MC too and I have tried to get more than six pets per house but no luck).

Are they related? I'm not sure if being related to each others can prevent mating, but just to be sure. Also, they both are adults? Sorry for dump question, but then again, just to be sure.

What if you try resetSim cheat on both of them?

I -think- you need Woohooer, not MC, to get more pets in the household via mating.

Do either of your pets list another animal as his mate? The game uses that as the pet version of marriage...not that that ever stopped my sims.

If the same pets fools around with another pet, the later partner is the new mate. And the mate title comes after well, mating. I don't get what is point of that "pet marriage". There isn't even pet jealousy.. I tried.

Ahh, the Sims. Where a bunch of people try to annoy virtual animals by having their virtual animal boyfriends sleep around, and then debate the merits of pet marriage.

I use Woohooer, but I stated that I use MC so that there's no like, maximum limit, basically.
They're both strays, no relation.
No mates.
Tried resetting, nothing.
14 pets (yes, I'm insane. .-.), but every other pair has the option.

im having the same issue... i have 6 pets 2 cats 4 dogs 3 boys and 3 girls. my other two set of pets mated but my last set didnt... i have woohooer too and i can even have gay sex with the pets but ive tried boy and girls and nothing the command stay when i have pause on but once i resume it just ignores it completely and its only with those two (cause they are basically the same dog just minor changes including the sex.) same as the other 4 and they all mated can someone help?

i know for a fact that puppies arent actually family members they are (items)

Have you gone into the general settings (of Woohooer) and changed the number limit of pets in a household? I didn't install Pets yet, but I did have to do that for my sims.
