I have a very strange problem in The Sims 3 Pets. Although I have an onboard video card, when i used the Demo Create a pet, the pet hair was normal, but in the conventional game, the hair is ugly and different.

I to not know why this happens. Is there anything I can do, how to change the graphics rules... So They look normal?

Not much you can do except edit the dog using the tools EA provided. I was pretty pissed with how the Eskimo looked too. A fair amount of tweaking did get me close to what they should look like. I never tried the CAP demo, so I just got to be disappointed by the in game versions instead. It's not just the hair. The head is poorly conformed, and the tail is, well, nothing you'd normally want to find on an Eskimo (not sure I can think of any dog with a corkscrew tail either). Up-curved yes, corkscrewed....., no.

Corkscrewed tails on dogs exist. Not necessarily on Eskimos, but it is in fact a tail style.

For instance, akita:

It does seem to be a common problem with Pets, many people had the Demo look better than the actual game:

Forgot the Akita. Finnish Spitz can also have a somewhat corkscrew tail. Not sure if either are in game (will check next load), are they? Still, not an Eskimo tail.

Then again, I adopted a mixed puppy. When it aged up it looked more like some kind of Koala Bear after a high school freshman science experiment gone awry playing with a My First DNA Splicing kit. :wtf:

This was a face even a mother couldn't love, as there is no such mother in nature (outside of an EA lab). Thankfully, it became a Husky in CAS after aging up (still listed as a mixed breed, but at least a dog).

As I've got my game open: no Akita Inu or Finnish Spitz that I can see; closest is the Shiba Inu (similar to the Akita but small in stature according to Wiki).
