How can I get my horse to race?

Its a unicorn and his skills are maxed. So are my riding sims. When I try to enter a race, I click on the building and it says competition has not started yet or come back later. I've waited there with my horse and kept trying to click on building...race started at 5 pm sharp. My horse is wanting to race. I feel like I've tried everything!! I've even tried the phone....am I missing something or could this be a glitch? Thanks!!

If you click on the building before 5:00, you will not get the option. If you click on the building too late, and that is 6:00 or sometime before, it is too late to race. The closing window might be even sooner, like 5:15 or 5:30. I always head my horse and rider over there around 3:00 - 4:00 and wait for the option to appear. If paying close attention to the time doesn't work, then it probably is a glitch. Sorry.

Like VerDeTerre said, there is a very small window of time that the game gives you before the option is gone. Sometimes, for the evening race, it's been close to 6pm and I've still gotten the option but other times, it's like 5:15 and it's gone.

However, I have noticed a problem, which I can only assume is a bug, where the building will say the race starts at a certain time, and I can click on the building right on the dot for the time it's supposed to start and the option is gone, telling me the next race is tomorrow. So far I've noticed this happening only on the weekend noon races. Sometimes they work, other times they don't. It's very frustrating.

If this is happening to you every single time you try, then it's probably a problem with your game and could be something like outdated custom content.

Yes, when you exit the building after the race, click on the building again and you can enter another race.

Hi, thought I'd use this thread instead of starting a new one. Anyone have any idea what cc could stop the races from happening, cause it doesn't matter what I do (like waiting outside the building all day) I can't race. Any help would be appreciated!

You haven't given any information for us to help you, really. Can your sim do other actions in the Equestrian center? (which?buy a horse, sell a horse, really, can your sim enter/exit the building with a horse?) What neighbourhood is this? What horse-related mods do you have? are your "big general" mods (like Awesome, Twallan SP, MC) up to date?

For a tip, my sim was unable to race in a fresh Twinbrook. I went to Edit Town, and flipped the EC so the door was to the right from the road. Fixed it, the lot wasn't lined up to the road.

sorry! I can enter the building for riding lessons and the like, just not races. I have Awesome mod but that's it for big mod's.

Too be honest I'm getting that sick of random crashes and freezes that I've about given up! :cry:

At least I can tell you that AwesomeMod is not the cause, because I was able to enter all competitions just fine, and won.
You have to sit on your horse, however, to get the option to participate.
