Where can I find the idiots guide to making hair for Sims? Everything I've found is for Sims2? Is it the same concept?

Which version of sims? Sims1? I haven't seen anything on it here. Most tutorials are for Sims 2 and new ones for Sims 3 pop up every so often.
and there is no idiots guide for hair. Hair is one of the most difficult parts to make.

There is a tutorial for making hair for The Sims 3 here - it's not an idiot's guide, it's aimed at people who had hair meshing experience for The Sims 2, but you CAN learn from it if you study it carefully and do a lot of experimenting and trial and error - it was how I learned to make hair, and how to do meshing in general, when I'd never meshed anything before. Unfortunately I don't know of any simpler tutorials than that, and I suspect one may not exist, but maybe someone will come along who knows of others. Good luck!

Thanks Esmerlda, that was the only one I could find but I was hoping for one that was as I simply put "an idiots guide" I've never done hair meshing before so I'm looking at that guide and scratching my head. But I'll give it another look! Thank you!! :)
