I recently found out that I might be getting a mac for Christmas. How badly will I be limited creating wise on Mac? Will Milkshake run? Daboobs? TSRW? S3PE? Sorry if this wasn't the best place, I wasn't quite sure. Many thanks :)

Hi Rob, you need the Mac OSX Support forum, where they have a helpful thread all about this situation: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=366580
Welcome to the Mac world, I've been using them for years, have always preferred Macs but PCs are needed for some things too, so I have both! As the thread I linked to says, all of the TS3 creation tools are Windows-only but you can run some of them using a program called Mono - I can run CTU on my Mac using Mono, have not tried the other creation apps in Mono but a list of them are in the thread.
What I find the best solution, myself, is to use Bootcamp to make a Windows partition on the Mac, where you just simply run the creation apps as normal (and also run the Windows version of TS3, which runs MUCH better than the Mac version does in OS X - the so-called 'Mac' version is just the Windows version running through an emulator, so there is a huge performance hit). On my Mac (an elderly 3 years old) the Mac version of even just base game TS3 running in OS X is unplayable but the Windows version running in Bootcamp Windows, with all expansion packs, runs like a charm. If your new Mac is high-powered enough, you may not need to do that in order to play TS3, but you will still run into the usual problems with trying to run Windows creation apps. Good luck!
