If my sim is grounded they have to "sneak out" just to go to school :| or work. They get home and get in trouble for just going to school :/ surely that's a glitch.

I know AwesomeMod has a tuning that fixes that. If you don't want to install AM, perhaps you can find another one that fixes it. If Tou can't find one, perhaps you can request one be made by Twallan. I wouldn't be surprised if he already has a fix for this. I don't have Generations, so I haven't researched it. I only know AM has it because it's in the manual.

There is a quick solution to being grounded. Have your teen sim start doing household chores. Have them clean up dishes, make beds, clean toilets and showers and do the laundry. Maybe have them cook a meal. They will be forgiven in pretty short order.

Otherwise they get in trouble for (1) going to school, or (2) not going to school.

One problem I'm having right now is lag. I have the sim kid drop what he's doing to go to school, but he doesn't respond until after the bus is gone and then he gets scolded for not going to school! I really hope that there is a fix for this other than AM.

testingcheatsenabled true then ctrl click the grounded moodlet? Cheat yes? Will it work, not sure.... but it may be worth a try?

Sonshine, sounds like you have a problem with your game or maybe your system specs are too low. Click Help> Sims 3> Main Page at the top of the screen, and complete the game problem guide. If that does not help, post your system specs and details of the problem on the Sims 3 Game Help forum.

Hi Simsample, It's not my specs. I just got a brand new comp, i7, quad core, 15 Gigs RAM , and a GeForce 4800 vid card. Those are the basics. So, I know it's not my specs. I bought this machine specifically for the sims. It might be that I'm running too many things at the same time though. I do tend to be a HUGE multitasker, lol.

Try the Game problem anyway, as that will rule out user file problems.

Any more problems, please post in the Game help forum. :)

Well, I cleared out the cache and we'll see how things go. Other than that, I think the game has ben overprogrammed on the scolding part. My poor teen boy was at home on a saturday, watching tv and his mother came up to scold him! He had a mood swing that day so I had him get revenge, lol. He planted a whooppee cushion on her chair, lol.

This isn't a glitch because it happens to me, too. My sim got in trouble for skipping work to go to prom -___- Lame. But you can use the cheat "testingcheatsenabled true" then just ctrl + click on the grounded moodlet and it's over. Or like the above said, just wash a few dishes, make a bed..the parent will forgive them.

I'm reasonably certain you can just control the parent and have them un-ground them. Of course I do have AM and some other things so I can't be sure that's EA code.
