Bodyshop problems

Hi. Now I have problems again but with bodyshop this time.
I downloaded some new eyes + makeup from here and when I was going to open bodyshop is loads like 25% then it goes to "do not respond" and I need to close it.
After I did everything here: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Body_Shop#Body_Shop_won.27t_run.2C_or_crashes_when_loading but now when I try to open bodyshop is loads 25% then it says that it chrashed and shuts down.
I've never had that problem before I downloaded the new things... has anyone had the same problem and solved it or does anyone know how to solve it?

If you remove the new CC you added, does it load? If so, then it's probably a problem with the CC.

I'm trying to remove the new CC.. the only problem is that I dont find everything but I'm doing my best ^^

No It still crashes even after I deleted the CC I knew of downloading..
Does that mean that my sims game will crash when I'm in CAS in the game too? :c

Did you delete the cache files after removing the CC?

I deleted the cache files and it still doesnt work.
Isn't the Game problem wiki just about the games problem? I mean, I tried to look there first but I didnt find anything about BodyShop problems there so that's why I tried the Game Help: Body Shop wiki which didnt work either..

Okay there's something wrong with the downloads. I removed both the download folder and the saved sims folder. Bodyshop worked as it should until I added the downloads folder again.. :/
I got 2 wordpad documents that showed up when bodyshop crashed but I dont know how to show them here, also the document is very long and I dont understand anythiong of the contect.

That dump isn't helpful to us, because we don't have the source code for the game or for BodyShop.

As I said.. I removed the newest CC I downloaded which made my bodyshop crash but eventhough I removed them (the ones I know and could find) it still doesnt work..

If it helpful the new CC I downloaded was from 2012-01-31 and I've deleted every files I could find from that date and it still doesnt work. I played sims around the 28th-29th January 2012 and then everything worked as it should with my, then, latest CC's from the 27th..

Do I need an portable harddisk to put my backup on or can I put it on the desktop when I reinstall the game or will it disappear from there too?

You can put the backup on the desktop.

If Bodyshop worked without the downloads folder, you know for a fact that the problem is in your downloads folder. Since the problem may be the interaction of two files, and it is possible for a file that was fine on installation to get corrupted (during a system crash, for example), then the problem may not be with your most recently downloaded custom content. Also, you might have missed a piece. I'm afraid you'll have to test everything, not just the most recent stuff. Believe me, if there were a faster way, we'd tell you.

Also, you can edit your posts rather than double-posting, and this is the preferred practice on this board.

Yeah sorry about the double postings. The MTS website didnt show my posts that I did and I kept getting a error message.
I will try to reinstall the game as soon as I get my new USB memory that my father ordered for me just to make sure nothing gets deleted.
I'll report back then if everything works as it should or if I need to add my downloads step by step.

Why are you reinstalling the game? Your problem CC is probably what is causing the problem with the game, too. (Unless the game has stopped working even with the entire Downloads removed.)

Your problem is something in the Downloads. Once you find out what it was and get rid of it the problem should stop. Reinstalling without getting rid of whatever it is will not help.

If you've removed the CC which was causing your game to crash, then you have even less reason to uninstall and reinstall your games; it won't help and you run the risk of installation errors.

Sounds like a problem. There should be a EA Games folder in my documents but not two.

I know but I always gets 2 of them.. If I delete the one that's empty it gets re-created when I play the game again..

If you're running on Windows 7, then one of the folders is the shared folder and one is the private folder. This is a "feature" of Windows 7 which can be safely ignored.

Mootilda, thanks for answering that question! I've been wondering since I installed my game on my laptop why I had 2 EA GAMES folders, and I didn't want to delete the empty one and break something. Now I don't have to worry about it :)
