I haven't downloaded any new custom content for Bodyshop in a long time, so this shouldn't be a custom content issue... As I was going through my created saved sims in Bodyshop, I noticed some weird things - creepy actually. Suddenly there were various breeds of dogs, suspended in mid-air, with partial human faces - where a regular Sim should be. They appeared as custom Sims so I deleted them. When I reloaded Bodyshop again a day later, they were back - different dogs and faces, but still same creepy suspended dog-bodies. I deleted them again.
When I go into CAS in-game, they aren't there, and don't seem to affect the game at all.
Related to this, I extracted some Sims in SimPe, and following the instructions went to clone them in Bodyshop. They don't appear anywhere. And when I approach where I think they should appear, Bodyshop freezes and I have to shut down using the PCs task manager.
Yet the extracted Sims do appear in CAS. I selected one (not cloned) and all the clothing the extracted Sim had in each category appeared, yet the name, zodiac, likes/dislikes did not.
I know this is a lot of information, but the issues all seem related maybe?!?! What causes the dog-humans? Why won't my extracted Sims show up in Bodyshop, but appear in CAS? And will using an uncloned extracted Sim cause any issues? So far it hasn't...
Finally, I can still create new Sims in Bodyshop, and custom clothes (using pre-existing meshes, usually Maxis ones). Only when I get near the dog-humans or the extracted Sims does it freeze and need to be shut down...
