The launcher is working fine with installing, uninstalling and launching the game, have no issues when playing and I'm able to save the games.
The problem is when I want to exit and get a black screen with a circular cursor, never getting back to desktop.
When I check DCCache I have a dcdbt.ebc file for 1KB, so I believe there is some problem with the launcher, as it is not deleting that file.
As this never happened before I also believe it might have to do with the new patch, as it started short after installing 1.31.
I've tested with and without CC (Packages and DBC/EBC files), mods and everything I could remember, cleaned caches. Don't have Virtual Store folder, so I think that's the only thing I didn't clean.
Also checked with Dashboard and no corrupt, duplicated or conflict files.
Anything I can do to stop this annoying issue?
Thanks

Is this just one save/town? What happens if you start a new town, to test?

Had quite a few reports on this issue and it started shortly before the patch came out.

- Do you have Origin installed ?
- Are you playing with the Internet connected ?
- Are you using the social features (aka are you logged in while playing) ?

ellacharm3d suggested in my thread in the official forum to try the process monitor to see what hangs the process. You might want to try that.

Just playing with Sunset and 1 household (Have decided to start a fresh game before installing the new patch, so deleted other saves and cleaned a lot of CC).

And yes, I have Origin installed, internet and using social features.

I remember now that I didn't connect to internet or use the social features the day I installed the patch, just next day and I think that's when I started having the exit issue.
Going to check what happens with those off.

Saw process monitor but not sure if I can work with it...seems very complicated and my knowledge of computer stuff is very limited

It seems that having internet and social features disconnected solved the problem. I'm able to exit to desktop since last night. Thanks a lot, totally forgot that I enabled those features to see how they work.
