TS3 game updates

Whin starting the game launcher it says there is an update so I click download update, but rather than downloading the update it closes the launcher, when I try again it does the same and does not download the update, it also says there are bad scripts running on the page.

How do I fix the launcher and download the update?

Do you have Norton Antivirus by any chance? Norton quarantines the Launcher executable for some reason. You'd have to un-quarantine it, and tell Norton to exclude it.

Or you can update manually - but it depends on what your previous version is. Read Q&A for "Issues with 1.3x Superpatcher" wiki FAQ.

I don't have norton I use avast, when I do manual updates by clicking "game updates" and then ticking the box it does the same thing!

When I do that it says it is a viruis

It's not - just click Ignore, or whatever else.
