Game won't start, have deleted the entire The Sims 2 folder under My Documents, EA Games and still no help. Want to uninstall Mansion and Garden Stuff and reinstall but back up instructions refer to Documents and Settings Folder which is not accessible in Win 7. When I try to start game I get a black screen, then the Mansion & Garden Screen, no Sims 2 icon and no preview while loading. Gets to Over-Waxing Banisters and freezes. Please help.

The saved games folder is the one under Documents - Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2. Do bear in mind that you might have two such folders; one is yours, and one is public (shared between all users on that computer). Make sure to backup/delete the right one. :)

Documents and Settings in XP is called Users in Win 7. So the path you are looking for is C:\Users \[username] \Documents \EA Games \The Sims 2.
