More of a question than a problem really, but I couldn't really find any info on it and... well... asking always seems like the right solution.
Soo... I followed this guide (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?PHPSESSID=c03b5c86b1f547a082ecec89e1ae4aa3&topic=4306.0) (MATY) for clean templates for a costum neighborhood, and everything is dandy and problem-free, but now that my neighborhood has progressed a bit and there's children and teenagers in the 'hood, I'm noticing that they only ever bring Bon Voyage Sims home from school/work (if at all)... as in, it doesn't seem like the game is spawning children and teenagers as townies?
On the article at the Sims wikia (http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Tutorial:Creating_a_clean_neighborhood) it briefly mentions it, saying: "You may create your own Townies for your neighborhood or just let the game create them by itself. If you don't use the mods to prevent townies from being spawned, the game will spawn itself.": this is what I wanted, for the game to spawn townies (and it is spawning adults and elders). Am I just impatient or is something possibly wrong? I don't use any mods to prevent townies from being spawned or anything of the sort, so I'm just sorta puzzled as to why it doesn't seem to spawn children/teenagers at this point.
(for the record, although not very relevant I imagine, the reason I wanted a clean neighborhood and then letting the game spawn townies is to use CuteLilDeadGirl's Gigantic Townie Name Replacement Mod (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=383239))
