My family and I were hatching eggs, and one of them just hatched today. It's so cute! Ever hatch chicks, ducklings or goslings? We're also possibly going to hatch some partridges. I'd like to hatch some silkie chickens because they are so beautiful!

Aww! That must be cute to watch. :3
We had a pet silkie once, she used to sit on my shoulder on the couch with me watching movies. xD They are such lovely chickens.

We used to have two silkies - a rooster and hen - and they were lovely chickens. My family also once had three Polish chickens. Two of them were roosters, and were apparently close friends as they would share our other hens; one seemed to be holding the hen down while the other did his thing, and then they'd switch places. Wonder if that's common among roosters that were raised together, because generally, the males of most animal species will fight over mates.

Pictureeeeeeeees!!! ^^
My father is a cattleman, but only chicken. I used to take some chicks from the farm back to my house, as the farm is a bit too far from my house. So, when they grow up, they lay eggs, the eggs hatch, and when my father takes the chicken back, I cried. A lot.

I might be able to take some pics, if I can get either of the digital cameras or my webcam to work. The one chick that hatched is black with a little yellow on the wings and belly. We're gonna set up a box for it tomorrow!

One time one at out old house one of our bantam chickens disappeared and I thought she had got taken by a fox or something. Then one day I was hanging out the washing and heard this cheeping noise from under our house. (Up on stumps like many country houses over here in Australia) I went on a search and discovered she had hidden and hatched out 7 chicks in the wood pile. I hadn't seen a sign of her the whole time she had been sitting. My daughter was just old enough at the time to be excited, just had to stop her squeezing them as she wasn't quite two. :)

Aww thank you! Hopefully I'll be able to take some pics, 'cause I would really love to show some here!
By the way, you guys like the bantams? Their roosters can be so funny, with their short, loud crows and the way they'll spur anything that gets in their way - even someone like my dad. I remember the time I caught a silver sebrite rooster that wasn't afraid of humans yet, and he didn't panic - the poor thing just sounded so bewildered at being captured. Then the next morning I found out that the thing had started crowing at three in the morning next to my parents' room, and my dad was yelling and throwing things at it. That memory still gives me a good laugh even today!
