Which hack version to use with Pets Collection?

Hi everyone: First, let me apologize for asking this simple question. I'm usually very good at digging information but for some reason, I can't find clarification on this after searching here on Modthesims, or MATY, or Googling with any combination of keywords. I'm sorry for filling your forums because of my own incapability of looking this up.

My question is...
I have the following installed:
* Base game (DVD version)
* University Life Collection
* Best of Business Collection
* Fun With Pets Collection
* Seasons EP (DVD version)

So I use the Pets Collection disc to start my game. It includes Mansion & Garden stuff pack. Do I need to use hacks that were created for Apartment Life?

Until now I have used Pets hacks and they have worked as intended - after installing Seasons I switched to Seasons versions of my hacks. I've had no problems but should I download new versions? I have found 1 message on MATY stating M&G = Apartment Life, but I'm confused because all of my hacks are working.

I would think that yes, because M&G is not just another stuff pack but one that does... something... to the game engine, you would need AL hacks. But there's always a chance I'm wrong. Heh.

M&G runs off the AL game engine so yes, you need to update your hacks.
