I have to use the Clean Installer for sims2packs or else, with the default installer, they install to the wrong location. So whenever I download a bunch of lots, I install them one at a time and choose the location so they go where I want them to. Only one of them ever shows up, and when I try to re-install the ones that didn't show up, they don't work.
Does anyone know what might be happening? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, there is a known bug in the logic which handles non-default locations for lots. The bug has existed since I took over the source code and I have not yet had the time to fix it.

Exactly why do you want to use a non-default location?

To keep track of where they are or if a lot has cc you would want to install that in a separate folder to lots. I've not had a problem with this although I've only downloaded a few lots on separate occasions.

The game's installer always installs it to the administrator's user account, and I'm not using that account, I want to install it to mine. So every time I install a lot, I have to choose where it installs. I install it to the Teleport folder of my account, uncheck Generate Import File or whatever, and switch File Extension from Sims 2 Import to package.
It gives me the "Files Have Been Intalled Sucessfully" or whatever. Sims work just fine for me, it's the lots that never work.

That's why it's not working. Lots go to the Teleport folder as Sim 2 tmp files not as package files. Just leave the lot file exactly how CI has it set up. Any cc can be directed to a seperate folder as package files.

You could modify the S2PCI.ini file and specify the default save game location. Double click on S2PCI.ini in the Sims2Pack Clean Installer folder to bring up the ini file in Notepad.

Add your default save game location between the quote marks in the line:
SaveGamePath=""

For example:
SaveGamePath="C:\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2"

Save and exit Notepad. Now, the Clean Installer should use that path as your default save game location.
