I have a question about bodyshop and clothing.

I made clothing using bodyshop.

I followed http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Tutorials:Unimesh_2_-_Editing_and_UV_Mapping#Strange_Transparency_or_Holes .

And the bottom screenshot is what I did so far.

Well, like in the screenshot, I succeeded shortening the dress using Milkshape.

But, when I tried to remove the red circled part on the screenshot, it made look like the head is floating around, without neck.

Is there way for me to fix it, or do properly doing it without messing up?

My recommendation would be to choose a clothing mesh that doesn't have a neckline that requires fixing.

I would have used a clothing mesh that doesn't have a neckline that requires fixing, only if there was/were clothing just like in the screenshot.

I'm saying this cause, I'm trying to make the clothing that some celebrity wears, which the cloth in the screenshot is closest cloth for that clothing.

If you are basically making a new mesh anyway, isn't it possible to take a mesh that has shorter sleeves and no neckline problem, and then extend the sleeves?

If it were me I'd just resculpt the neck and neckline. Assuming you are having trouble with that, which is why you are here, I'm not sure what else to say. With practice I'm sure anyone could become skilled at it.

The only thing I can think of is opening another mesh in Milkshape and using that as a guide for resculpting the neck. As this is not the procedure I would choose I wouldn't know how you could add a second mesh. It would have to be possible and relatively simple. Untick 'ignore backfaces' select the body and head and hide the selections. Line up the necks and move the vertices in line with the guide mesh. You'll need to add a row of faces around the neckline if you want the woolen dress to maintain it's weight.

There are 3 dimensions. The bottom left is a top down veiw where you can move the vertices along the horizontal x and y axis (2 dimensions). In the top left (front view) move the vertices on the verticle axis (third dimension). Double check each window to make sure it's perfect and move on to the next one. There should be no more than 50 in the lower neck.

And if not, does what "Ghost sdoj" suggested possible?

I only tried shortening the dress, not lengthening it.

I don't know of any dress like that. It might be worthwhile asking in the WCIF section. To extend the sleeves you'd be in much the same boat as the neck.

Well I know how to shorten it, then I should do opposite of shortening?

*Edited: I just looked into bodyshop for clothing.

There isn't any dress in the everyday clothing section that looks similar to what I used.

Hmmm.. could you post a pic of the dress you are going for? You'd need a dress with long open sleeves, so they are seperate to the body mesh and so the texture doesn't look odd. If you stretch the mesh too much you are stretching the image as well. They won't be contoured to the arms either, they'll look more like pixelated tubes or cones. I do recommend posting in WCIF under help with the dress pic aswell. Could you do that?

Well this is what I want to do.
I will post the texture of this dress that I edited using graphic editor.

But I want to have custom texture of mine, just like in the screenshot attachment

That texture will work on the new mesh you linked to. It looks fine to me even though it doesn't have the thickness of the first dress. Is that what you'd want to do?

Yeah.

The post #11 is what I want to do to the dress that I tried editing the meshing, which there were no success with milkshape.

How do I suppose to do like that in milkshape?

Cause like I said all above post, there isn't tutorial for it.

Well, if you solved the problem that you were originally posting about then you are learning the skills to finish the job. I'm not going to say that it's going to be easy, but you have gotten farther than I ever have. :) It sounds like you are going to manage this if you don't give up. Good luck, and Congratulations.
