Hairs don't show up

I've downloaded hairs, make up, skin, clothes and body slider mod. Clothes and body slider mod show up on my game but hairs, make up and skin don't. I don't know what the problem is. Help me? :)

No, I have windows 7. I've downloaded only young adult hairs from different sources.

Hey, I don't know if you remember me, but you also posted on my thread(it probably wouldn't have occured to me that you were the same person if I hadn't recognized your picture) the one about haveing trouble with sims three packs. I came on this thread because one of the main things that I haven't been able to get to show up in my game is hair.
What was that you mentioned about child and toddler hairs by peggy? is that a known issue?
because quite a few of my hairs that wouldn't show fell into that catagory.
