View Full Version : Vehicles going mad...

Hello there,

whenever a sim from any currently active household enters a car, there is chaos on the roads. This means specifically: As soon as a sim should be setting off to drive, he either teleports near his destination and finishes his way as he should, OR he sets off normally BUT the car looks like it's having an epileptic seizure while driving, and the wheels don't spin as they should either. Usual driving? Only seldom moments. Occasionally, Non-Active-Houshold-Drivers are going mad too. Happens no matter what world, household, sim or vehicle is being used. Only NPC-Cars (Taxis, Buses etc.) and the Chopper are not affected.

I used to only have LN, TLS and Pets installed, no problem there. As soon as I installed Generations, the issues occurred as described above. I also have Rainbow_Brite's Car Speed Mod (Slow Down) in my CC-Folder. However, it doesn't matter if I have that mod included in my game or not - the cars always go mad.

My game is fully patched (1.34) and I don't have any (other) mods installed which could affect the vehicle (or driving?) files.

I'd be grateful for any help, since this is bugging me for quite some time.

Does this problem happen on all of your saves or just one specific save? When you make a new town, does it happen there too?

Happens no matter what world, household, sim or vehicle is being used.

To take it further: It happens no matter what circumstances.

Well, I'd probably wait until someone such as whiterider (http://www.modthesims.info/m/138496) suggests something, because the only thing I can think of is re-installing the entire game, base and all ep and sp... Sorry I couldn't be of any help :/

That's alright, I'll be just waiting I suppose. Actually I don't want to reinstall my whole game (Sh*tload of CC!) so I hope that I'll find the source of this issue. If nothing works I'll be forced to reinstall, nothing to do about it.

Have you gone through the entire Game Problem FAQ? If not, you should do so. And did you delete your cache files after removing the suspicious mod?

I did everything what the FAQ says.

(I don't even think that mod is suspicious, as it worked fine until I installed Generations.)

By suspicious, I meant you thought that might be the cause of it, not that it really was suspicious.

So, just to confirm, the same thing happens on fresh user files? You renamed your The Sims 3 folder and let the game regenerate a new one?

What are your specs (http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:System_Specs)? Can you also post a screenshot of what happens?
