I was wondering if anyone knows how to edit a sim's clothing using SimPE. According to the site, it's possible. I've tried doing it and it failed. I go to a sim's description and hit the 'more' button, under that I then click edit clothes. However, after I click that nothing happens. I'm taken to a blank page. Perhaps I'm missing something that I need to do this? I have all the needed software and SimPE Photostudio Templates. Any ideas on why this isn't working?

To change what they're wearing, or to edit/recolor the clothing itself?

To change what they are wearing. There are many people with clothes that I would like to change, and it would be very tedious to do so in the game, many of them are NPCs or other people in the neighborhood.

Really, you can only do it successfully in game. I wouldn't really touch SimPe without having a real good idea on what to do.

I could be wrong because I'm certainly not a SimPE expert, but I believe the "clothes" they talk about in SimPE is a different thing than the outfits that you have in your game, which I don't think SimPE has a "link" to. As far as I know, the only way to change a Sim's clothing is to do it in game. There are many ways to do it, some less annoying than others. I like to do it by summoning folks to a player-owned clothing store and then having the owner/employee(s) do the "Suggest Outfit" thing. That way, the fashion-challenged get a little less challenged, and the owner makes a little money in the bargain. :)

My favourite method is to use Christianlov's Gussy Up plugin. Just click on any sim, playable or unplayable (but obviously not sims like Mrs C!) and select Gussy Up. The only downside of it is it doesn't do Outerwear.

Thanks for the suggestions and help! I think I'll try the Gussy Up plugin, it seems to be the most efficient way. Perhaps I am just misunderstanding what SimPE can do. At the site there was a list of the many things the program can do, and one of the things under that list was "Change the Clothes of your Sims". I assume now that they meant something like modify the actual clothing, not what your sim wears. Again, thank you for all the help!

I wouldn't mind changing some career outfits. I'm sure there's a tutorial somewhere....

They'd be default replacements. I'm guessing it'd be the same as changing any other EAxis skin.
