Hi! I want to add some but I don't know the difference between a .sim file and a .sim3pack.

Does a .sim file include CC? If so, is there a way to just get the sim and no the CC?

I just don't need the headache of adding more unwanted CC to my game. I learned my lesson :D I usually add a sim3pack and remove all CC using Delphy's Custard before installing the new sim.

Any help you can give me or advice is much appreciated :luff:

A sims3pack will install the cc in DCCache with no way to get ride of it if the launcher doesn't list it, other then delete all files in the folder.
A .sim does not really include the items used, it mainly link to them, either to DCCache or to any .package used (exception is items that is attached to the sim it self), so basicly if none of that is preset the sim will show up in custom sims as having the cc but when choosen it will default to using other items availible, it also might turn black if custom skin or hair was used.
So when using a .sim file, to remove any links to cc that might have been used on the sim, one have to edit it and use only EA items, then save the sim again.
