Hello! I was wondering if anybody could point me to a tutorial (I've been searching and can't find anything current or that answers my question specifically) or explain to me how I can add a thumbnail to some skins I have downloaded. It is so hard to know which I am using, especially since I want to share a couple of Sims and I can't point out which skins were used. So I think the best would be to add a thumbnail to the files myself so I can differentiate them but I don't know how to do this. Thank you! :anime:

The thumbnails that came with the skins aren't descriptive enough?
I don't know the answer, but perhaps you could try the following:
I've often made my own thumbnails for skins after modifying them in body shop. I think if you open body shop, create parts, start a project using your downloaded skin, then open up my documents/EA/The Sims (whatever expansion pack)/Projects you will find the skins images and a thumbnail file.
When I make thumbnails after playing around with a skin, I'll copy one of the skin images such as a face. From there, I'll paint in simple eyes and surround the face in a color and write something that identifies the skin on the bottom. After I've saved it and exited the paint program, I remain it to whatever the name of the thumbnail file is and replace the one in the file. I suppose another way would be to take a photo in game of a Sim in that skin and then use that image for your thumbnail.

Some of the skins don't have thumbnails, that's the problem. How do I use the body shop though? It's Sims 3 right? hah! Sorry I'm a little confused. I'm just not sure how I can add it to an existing skin without modifying anything else but the thumbnail. Using s3pe or what? I'm not incredibly well versed on it but I'm familiar with the program.

My mistake, I thought I was on a Sims 2 forum. Now I feel really sheepish.

Grab the skininator, use that to add your own thumbs to CC skin.
