I was part of the sims 2 community on the official site a few years back, and it seems to have completely died. I'm getting a new laptop and thinking of starting back up sims 2 again and making an alphabetacy and putting it on Tumblr, but I'm not sure it would be noticed. Where do most of you upload your challenges/legacies/stories?

There's a creativity forum here on Mod The Sims. There's a stories tab. Upload there?

I use livejournal to post my legacies and other sim related stuff.

I use Slideshare and embed it on my Live Journal and post the links on a couple of boards.

Once in a blue moon, I post a random Sims 2 picture on my Tumblr. As long as I tag it "Sims 2" and it's a decent picture, it tends to get a couple notes. The secret to better success than mine is: advertise (tastefully), interact with the community, and have high-quality images and an interesting story.

My main problem with Tumblr is the difficulty commenting on things and replying to comments. If that's a big thing for you, I'd suggest using Livejournal or a site similar to it. There's no reason you can't use both, though. : )

Either upload stories to the Stories section here, as advised above, or start a blog and then stick the link in your sig and profile. That's what I do.
