Hi,
I want to ask if it is possible to have Pool shaders/effects without the useshaders cheat which doesn't work for me.
at the moment pools look like the lower left (http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=File:Poolshadercomparisons.jpg) to me.
Can I download any pool shaders/effects or could I somehow get the pre-seasons pool graphics back?
Hope you can help me!!

P.S: I have all EPs and SPs!!

I actually had the cheat in my userstartup, but I can't get the reflections to work, any ideas about that too? I get the sparkle but not the reflection. So basically, my pol looks something like the one above left in the same link.

Do both of you have graphics cards capable of using shaders? If you post your system specs we may be able to advise you.
Please post a Quick summary of your System Specs
Instructions on finding them are here: Game Help:System Specs.

you can see my specs here: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1930545
I could use shaders but then the pool water graphics get buggy and flicker and such... so I never use the shaders.
but my question was if you can have nicer pool effects without shaders, maybe some downloads...

It will most likely be graphics problem since I had a fancy pool on one computer and non-fancy pool on my main computer.
I have very fancy-pools and fancy neighbourhood on this computer since it actually has a graphics card installed that is capable of handling... fancy stuff? Too bad this comp only has 400mb's of RAM. T_T
But seriously, if you don't get reflections, your graphics probably cannot handle them.
The only thing that changes with my main computer (that has integrated graphics) when I use the useshaders cheat, is I get fish in the ponds and in fish tanks.

I don't know much about computers, but it looks as though you also have integrated graphics.
*edit*
@ M.M.A.A. -- Your graphics are better, but if I'm not mistaken, most Intel Core processors are integrated graphics.
Don't hold me to it, though.

@ M.M.A.A
with this specs it can't be a hardware problem. Maybe you have not all graphic options maxed out...
@Saturnfly
yes I have an Integrated Chipset

Nope, all are at high.

Well unfortunately for us, integrated graphics aren't designed for intensive gaming. The Sims 2, with ALL EP's and SP's is quite an intensive game, more so if you have a lot of custom content. If you want to see fancy reflections and such, you need to invest in an actual graphics card suitable for gaming.

okay, so a simple question from me, independent of hardware etc. :
Is it possible to replace the Seasons pool effects/shaders with the older, basegame ones?
