I have been trying to uninstall my all of my Sims 2 games, but I have a big problem. The games do not appear in my control panel! I do not know what to do. I even tried uninstalling it by going to the start menu, then clicking uninstall, but that does not even work. I`m super stuck, and I do not know what to do. Hopefully I can get some help here :)

That doesn't make sense. What are you expecting to "find" in that article? If you follow the directions, your game will be uninstalled.

I think the OP is still not finding anything in the Control Panel to uninstall?

Good point. If there is nothing to uninstall in the Control Panel, then skip that step and move on to the next step in the FAQ.

Hmm...well I did this step "Remove Leftover Windows Uninstall Data" but I didn't have the any of the sims folders in it...this is so troubling..it's like the game isn't in my laptop..but it is.

I was expecting to, "find" as you say, something on that page that tells me why it is not in the control panel and how to fix that, or something along those lines.

The registry keys are the problem. Remove those, and the game will be well and truly uninstalled. The article tells how to do that.

Ah, yes the registry keys... == I did try that too, I checked for those files and I had none.

I don't know what the problem is...it seems the game isn't in my laptop. Yet when I put in a sims disk it says that it is already installed, but it won't let me play >< I guess I just need a new laptop..mine is having major issues. ==

It's definitely leftover registry entries - nothing else can cause that problem.
