downloaded houses not showing up in bin

Hey, I downloaded a bunch of houses made by other players And I cant find them in my housing and lots bin =/. i know how to download and I have downloaded many mods, but only the housing ones Im finding any difficulty with. Is downloading housing require different steps? AM I missing something? I extracted all the files into my downloads, and I have double checked they are compadiable with my expansions etc.. I dont know what else to do ...

Houses are not installed in the Downloads folder. Here's a FAQ which explains everything:

Blah well I dont need to read the whole post, and I kind of would prefer the name of the folder in which they are installed to, rather then a link and having to spend time shifting through a bunch of stuff I already know to hopefully find my answer =/

YEp I just skimmed the whole thing and it said nothing about lots...

It's obvious you don't already know it.

Installing lots is a totally different process than what you do with regular CC or hacks, and
if you'd just read the thing, you'd already have your answer by now, for goodness' sake.

Actually I found it faster with google, .... then reading pages of unneeded info.. Mods already installed now
