We see these all the time in real life. I don't know if it properly describes the type of thing I'm looking for, because what inspired this post [click (http://i.imgur.com/KdxUX.jpg)] isn't really a social experiment, but...
If you weren't wrapped up in your challenges/storylines/love for your sims, what kind of experiments would you do with them?
I'm kind of looking for ideas for after I try that one.

Wow 0_o
How long would the paper boy take to do his rounds?
On the other hand, that's a great way to dissuade freetime hobby people.

Arr - amusing. You could always try that old standby 'how many ways (let me count them) can a sim die?' That's always fun.

I love watching these type of things on YouTube, it defiantly brings out my evil side!
Like this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bp6WW1XumLM)
...and this one is probably my fave, I know it's Sims 3 but it's here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3A6UgaDMro). I feel sorry for him at the end :(

My latest experiments have been more like survival shows. The first was four "scientists" tolerating nine ghosts, in a two story house. Watching half of the humans die, I've replaced them with two vampires. I want to see if ghosts can harm or kill vampires.

Oh my god, that is hilarious. For some reason I can't purposely kill sims...even fug townies for instance. I know it's just a game and they are pixels but I always feel guilty or bad, as if they are real people that I actually care about =\

I remember sticking Cyd Roseland into a small house without any doors, to see how long he would last before dying.
Roaches literally COVERED the first floor within a sim week. Like, every open tile inside the house was roaches. It was gross. Kind of cool, though.
Oddly enough, he died of fire, instead of the flu or something.

I was almost going to do something today I have never done.
Usually I give my SIms at least all the basics (w/o dishwashers or compacters) to start off with. But today I was going to start a new house and only give them things they ask for. They will get a shell of a home but it has to be in their wants or a thought bubble for me to buy it for them.
I just may do that too ... I am feeling adventerous!

All 9 ghosts haunted at the same time? If they did, is there a hack for it, 'cos my ghosts never came out in big numbers, only three per night max.
I did something similar by building a huge maze in front of a house on a biggest lot (house itself was built at the farthest point from the road). The house was intended for a vampire hunter: he was supposed to throw nighttime parties with vampires involved and to end them at dawn, with vampires trying their best to flee thru the maze to leave the lot and escape the sun. Sadly I never played it as the neighborhood miraculously disappeared before I finished it and I remembered about it much later. Still a mystery when and why I deleted that 'hood.

Since I never play vampires or "wolf men", and zombies irritate me (are they immortal?!) maybe it would be fun to create a "mixed" household. Sort of an "Insane Asylum" for the non-humans. Would love happen, or just murder?

Yes, zombies are immortal. So are Vampires.
Sims can't really murder anyone, so worst result, you get a bunch of hybrids.

Wait, are hybrids possible?

Except for the alien/human combo, hybrids can't occur via normal breeding, because the aliens are the only creatures who pass their creature characteristics on to their offspring. Even plantsims who breed via normal woohoo will have entirely human children.
However, you can certainly have an alien get vamped, killed and zombified, turned into a werewolf and a plantsim all at the same time. The name for mixed creature sims is Black Sheep. I don't know if Pinstar coined the phrase, but having a Black Sheep is one of the bonus challenges he included in the Legacy Challenge. :)
