I can't patch my game

I have base game 1.17
and Late Night 6.0.81

I'm using a mac (10.6 OSx) and can't patch my game. I'll go to the launcher and try to update my game but about halfway through the update it fails and crashes.

So I tried using superpatcher (region 1 for North America, as that's my region), and the patch will download fine, but when I try and use Keka to extract the file I get this error message:
Extraction Failed
Error code 2 using "gnutar"
Unknown error.

please tell me what I'm doing wrong :(

What version of Snow Leopard? 10.6.0?
What version of Keka do you have? Is it the latest one?
Can you post the SuperPatcher download link? Is it direct form EA servers or a 3rd-party game site?

The error occurs during extraction, not when you double-click the extracted .app file to apply the patch? the Have you tried redownloading the file?

Help me this is also my problem. Im using Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4. When i was patching the game, the game need to be patched again and the game version doesn't change. SO I clicked update in the game launcher but something makes me wonder about this, it says on the screen: New game version available: 8180-1.36.45.017001
