View Full Version : Buy/Build menus won't load once in game

Hey all, hope I'm not repeating, but couldn't find anything else like this addressed.
Once I installed showtime, pets, and master suite, menus won't load once in game. buy mode won't open at all (the menu to the bottom right, I can still select the hand or paint tools etc). Build menu opens, but when i select anything, say doors, nothing comes up. I can play the game fine, except, you know, buying or building. All other interactions and events work fine.
Some custom content, but I've tried without and it didn't seem to fix. I've changed graphic settings too.
Thanks for any advice.

Sims 3 - Game Problems
Please go through this FAQ and follow the instructions, doing each step in order and not skipping anything:
Game Help:Sims 3 Game Problem
Most issues with the game can be resolved by following those steps.
Does it happen in just this Save or ALL saves? What happens if you start a new game, with CC intact?
Please do the FAQ and tell us what happens after step#3. Start a new game with no CC at all.

Thanks. And yes, just tried that. No difference. Here's a picture. http://tinypic.com/r/2z4hl38/6 It will just sit there, frozen. I can't go back to live mode. I can F5 into options, but that's about it.

General - Post System Specs
We need more information before we can help with your issue.
Please post a Quick summary of your System Specs
Instructions on finding them are here: Game Help:System Specs.
Please Do NOT post your complete DxDiag report in your thread.
Time to check specs.
And when you go into Options and Quit, does it Quit or is it still unresponsive and you have to Ctrl+Alt+Del?
What patch version is the base game at this time?

Yes, quits for real. Menu options still work. Can enter options, you name it.
Patch is latest. Sims 3 worked fine with most of the expansions until i added the latest two, and then crapped out. Tried re installing too.
