I know this has been posted a MILLION times already but I haven't found the solution!

Okay so in full detail, this is what happens. I open the launcher and I get a script error message that reads:

An error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line: 18
Char: 1
Error: Syntax error
Code: 0
Url: http://launcher.thesims3.com/launcher/home.html?launcherLocale=en_US&launcherCountry=GB

Do you want to continue running scrpits on this page?

So I click yes. Then, for some reason, I install all of my CC again which takes FOREVER and THEN, I click that holy play button and bam. I start my game and no CC that I have installed shows up. So I go back to the launcher (the game is still running) only to find that everything has uninstalled itself again! It's so frustrating!!!

Honestly, it feels like I spend more time fixing The sims 3 then actually playing it

How about clicking no instead..
The issue with that launcher randomly seems to uninstall things is well known and to my knowledge it's not known why or how to avoid it.

Installing in one huge batch if one have several 100MB's of sims3packs, is a bad idea as game can't really handle if files in DCCache is over 200-250MB each.
Try install in small batches.

Clicking no just makes the damn launcher unresponsive :]
However! I have tried installing in small batches and this has worked! I was really surprised so thanks a million!!

Just one thing though, for some files, it says the package is already installed but its not, any ideas?

I've gotten that also sometimes, no idea why but i suspect that it's beacuse item/s was installed earlier in some kind of pack which have several items.
