Red Pond Water - Please Read, It's different from the other topics of this kind.

Alright. I know, I know. You're all sick of reading topics almost identical to this. But I believe my case is different. Unlike the rest of the topics like this that I've read, ONLY my pond water is red. The Hot Tubs and bath water are normal, clear water. I read that maybe a video card would work, but somehow I don't think that is the case here. My friend has the worst, well close to the worst, video card and her pond water works fine. After reading all the other topics I wasn't quite sure what to do for sure. I dotn want to go out and buy a video card if I don't need one. I havn't downloaded any hacks that would effect the water, so I'm a bit confused. If you could help, I'd really appriciate it!!

Video cards don't really operate on a scale of worst > best as such so it could still be a video problem.

i think you offended moses lol but in al seriousness look at your color settings and see if anything is well not how its supposed to me.... other than that i advise getting some holy water

Thanks for your help, but now all the water is red. Its almost disturbing, it looks like they are sitting in blood. Weird.

I had the same problem. Pond water was the only kind that was red. After getting a new video card it worked fine for me. I think you're going to need a new video card too. There are some that aren't really that expensive.

I had the same problem..Then I changed my card from a VT8237 to Nvidea. Boy did that change things, no more blinking red water! :)

i have seen the red water a few tymes ' and the best that i could tell ' it was usually an effect of a hacked house . even while looking at it in the neighborhood view ' it will be flashing red . best bet might to be get rid of that house . hope this helps some .

Click the start menu and run and type dxdiag
Click the display tab and in the top left will be Device and Name.. that's your video card

I had the same problem with my hot tubs, ponds and i couldn't use the mirrors. try lowing ur lighting. it worked for me but the mirrors look very weird.

I have the same problem too, just pond water, when you say lower the lighting, how low, medium, low?

I put my game on low and grathic (not sure I spelled that right) on high. i got the red to go away, but I still haven't checked to see if it will work with my ponds but works with the mirrors.

ok so I tried the lighting on low and it didn't work, so you say to try lighting low and graphic high? I'll try it.

aww, didn't work, could it be the graphics card? Anything else that is water is fine, its just the pond water. Is there any other "pond-like" water that i could use instead, I really want to use it for a house....:(

I have the same problem with my game. The only thing that flashes red is the pond water and my computer is brand new. I can't imagine that my new computer doesn't have a decent graphics card. Is there anything else it could be?

maybe u should download a new driver
i was having problems with the game before i downloaded a new driver the blur was just a blue box and the reflections wouldn't work even when i turned reflections on
