Ever since i have University i'm having trouble with my nannies.
They can't keep track of the schedule so when my sim gets promoted, i need to fire her and then hire her again. Otherwise she doesn't come on the right time.
And now there's another problem. I had everyone to work or school except my toddler. I exited for a while and then started the game. Immediately a box popped up with the message that it wasn't a good idea to leave my toddler home alone. I immediately deleted her and saved and get back in the house when her father arrived home. I tried it again the next day and the same thing happens again.
I tried moving them out and back in, but that didn't help. Has any one have an idea what it might be?
All my downloads are EP ready, i don't have any careers, and no hacks that have something to do with the nanny.
Thanks in advance.

Why don't you have a one parent or teen stay home from work then this wouldn't happen. ;)

Killing them never helps the game always can make a new nanny. :)

Yes. It shall make a new nanny... but it will sooth your vengens, lol. lock the sim in a room with dirty garbage and roaches for 2 days. on the third day, burn the nanny. it always works for me, some times i even have mass murders, where about 10 sims all get trapped in a room, then they are burned and the survivors drown or starve! i have killed 70 sims on one lot.

This doesn't help me with my problem. Has no one ever had the same problem?
I'm having constant trouble with the nannies. When i run the game in debug mode (boolProp cheat) there are constant errors with the nannies. There is something wrong with them and i have no idea what.

This is the error which always occurs whenever my sims hire a nanny.
An error occurred in object "N005_User00121-Karen"
#826,
Error: Too many iterations
The stack trace is saved in: "....../thesims2/Objectserror_N005_t4137456.txt"
Can anyone please help me with this one? Killing the nanny is NOT the solution. And i can't believe no one has ever seen a problem like this before.

With some of the college careers, the nanny doesn't seem to recognize them as new careers and could read them as different careers and come at the wrong time.
I noticed that at my friend's house. They seem to come at times of other careers.
I don't have Uni, so I don't know if its a bug or a bad glitch.

The sim i'm playing now is in a standard career, not a Uni career. I rarely use the Uni careers.

you could try the live-in nanny. I usually get multiples on the lot.

What do you mean with the live-in nanny?
Multiple nanies, happened to me too a couple of times. I ended up with 3 or 4 nannies in my home. After a couple of days they would go home but it's very annoying.

I had that problem along with the wants screens being blank. I found a spot here on ms2 and it showed how to fix the wants screens( something to do with the remote car) It also fixed my nanny problem. I don't know if this will help or not. I cant even tell you if the two are connected. But it work for me. Hope you find a way to fix your problem.

I reinstalled the game, hoping this helps. I'm not sure but i was sick of all my sims anyway so i can start completely over again :D.
I really hope this solves my problem. Thanks for trying to help me.

Angel i have sort of the same problem. My nanny comes but she doesnt come at the right time. She usually shows up about midnight when no one has to be at work and when its time for my sims to go to work she doesnt show. So when she does show at the wrong time I have her dismissed but then the next day i have to hire one all over again. Its very annoying so if anyone has any suggestions (other than killing the nanny) please let me know. It doesnt matter what job my sims have the nanny won't correctly track the time.

Yep, mine came at midnight a lot too. I don't know if reinstalling the game helped because i started all over with a single sim and it takes a while before she has enough money to bring up a toddler. (i don't want to cheat this time).
But if it helps i'll let you know.
Just a few questions Sheshe; do you have Uni? And do you have many generations in your neighbourhood? And is your neighbourhood big (many sims)?
My family contained more then 16 generations and i had over 950 sims in my neighbourhood. Then i deleted the whole neighbourhood but all the sims in there came up in my new neighbourhood with "no characterdata" in SimPE. I was thinking maybe something like that causes a problem.

I'm having the same trouble. The nanny shows up at midnight and leaves in the morning. But that is NOT the time I need her. I'm getting frustrated with it. I don't want to have to keep a parent from working to watch these kids. I want the nanny to work!

Same probleme here. I'm hire not more a nanny, i create an elderly femele Sim and let her move in to take care of the baby and toddler. Later she can help the kid by the homework. If I don't need her anymore, then I move her in her own house or to another family. :D

My nanny comes at 12:30 every night. (if I hire her). If I dismiss and "rehire" her right before my sim goes to work, she shows up but doesn't leave when the sim returns (as if I'd hired her just for now) Then at 12:30 she'll show up again and stay for.. however long the nanny stays. I thought that it could have been a hack conflict that was causing this, but seeing as others have had the same problem and you don't have hacks, then I am wondering if my game just went bonkers @.@

I just call the nanny "just for now" when I need her. That way I don't have to worry about her "forgetting" my schedule.
